Is this going to be a problem for people who have plans that allow "free" calling to a set list of numbers?
So i updated the GV app the other day, and all it has done so far is slow my phone down like crazy. it takes forever to load, send messages, everything is just uber slow on it now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf you are using GV with your Friends & Family account for free outgoing calls, don't upgrade to the version that's in the market now. It will assign an individual new number to each of your contacts, so you won't be able to do the free calling trick.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this issue. It doesn't happen all of the time, and I can't seem to reproduce it. It only started recently - within the last few days.
On some calls, after talking for a minute or so, the person on the other end will just not be able to hear me anymore. The call is still connected, and I can hear them just fine, but I end up having to disconnect and call them back due to the strange muting problem.
Anyone else experience this lately? I haven't installed any new apps recently - minus updates - so I'm not sure it's an app conflict. Just trying to pinpoint the issue and see if I'm the only one.
Has anyone had any issue with the latest Voice update? Until now, the application had been running flawlessly. After this most recent update, its very sluggish and laggy
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust noticed this morning that google voice has been updated. Obviously i updated and then checked the change long. Apparently version 0.3.2 gives instant sms delivery. Sweeeeet.. So i am finally able to remove my setting to forward sms to email so that i get it immediately !! Now if they would start doing mms i can cancel my verizon txting totally..

I've got a Samsung Moment that had 1.5 on it for about 4 months and had Google Voice working on it just fine. Great, loved it.
I recently updated to 2.1, and everything works great on the phone EXCEPT Google Voice.
I go through the steps and it tells me "We have a problem! Your phone number could not be verified. Please try again."
I've tried a BUNCH of time, rebooted, uninstalled/reinstalled, everything I could think of.
I just updated to Virtuous 3.0 and noticed my google voice widget wouldnt load. Then I noticed google voice is gone now. I tried reinstalling from market, it downloads, then says installation unsuccesful. Any suggestions? Wipe and reload rom from scratch?

It seems that the issue has to do with the SE dialer. Is there a way to go to the stock generic Android dialer? If not, any other suggestions?

First, when I am sending a SMS message using the landscape on-screen keyboard I get a force kill.
Also, it seems that some of my outgoing messages are sent twice.
Several recent applications (e.g. Shazam) have text and image ads which are handled by Google. I can't seem to find how they did this. Is there some new API that you can use to display ads given some key, similar to how the maps API works? Or is this something that developers individually negotiate?

I've been notified three times, but each time I try to install it either hangs at the rebooting screen (before shutdown, not during) or says your phone will reboot, but doesn't and the screen just goes away.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI woke this morning to a prompt on my phone saying there was an update available to fix the airplane mode issues as well as other issues with the Samsung Moment. Figuring it to be a good idea I went ahead and downloaded it. It wasn't until some hours later when I started using the phone sideways with the keyboard not out that I noticed the screen kept timing out. It continued to do it each time I used it this way. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue or is my phone just special? When will these bugs be fixed? I am starting to lose patients with the phone.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI recently flashed Galaxy Captivate with Dark knight ROM v5.5. Everything went well and then I installed latest GApps (20120429). All other Google Apps works except GTalk. If I try to install it via adb it gives error like:
'INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES'.
Since accepting the Gingerbread update, I have noticed that the Recent Calls feature of the Dialer now only shows timestamps in reference to the current time rather than the time the call occurred. Calls now show timestamps in the format of 1 hour ago or yesterday rather than displaying the actual time of the call.

Since the update, Twitter is now using the same sound as my SMS notifications - the phone default notification. I keep trying to set Twitter to use a different sound (within the application - Settings > Account > choose notification sound).

I heard that there were issues with several gvoice updates, so I haven't updated google voice since 0.2.8 and it is working just fine- every call connects, no problems. Is it worth updating to the newest version of google voice with push? For those of you with 2.1 on your Eris- does google voice work for you?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI finally changed the voicemail system on my Hero from Sprint's "visual voicemail" (which is misleading because it doesn't transcribe voicemails) to Google Voice. It's nice to see my transcribed voicemails now. However, when I actually want to hear them (if the transcription didn't work well), it only comes through the external speaker; the speaker on the back of the phone. I went into Google Voice settings and under "Voicemail Playback" I tried the only two options: "Play via Handset" and "Play via Speaker." Unfortunately, both play through the speaker phone speaker. How do I change it to the phone speaker? I also can't adjust the volume, so the whole world hears my voicemails through the external speaker.

This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)
