Mar 15, 2012is there any way to disable the lock-screen on MIUI. I've been in the process of turning my Galaxy S Vibrant into a Windows 7 Phone Clone, and I am using an app for a lock screen which works about 85% of the time, but after awhile, the other regular lock screen displays over this one creating two lock screens.

I know that I can in to setting to disable all these extra features, but I heard from someone that, "even though you disabled it, the phone will still continue to try to pick up these services, like 3G). Is there a app that will fully disable these features?
Also is there anyway up speeding up my phone. I have a Rooted T-Mobile MyTouch 3G w/ the CyanogenMod 4.2.13. I heard that there is a "10MB Hack", but I also heard that it will slow down your games.

Things appeared to go ok, but now i'm stuck on the reboot screen (have the droid peeing on apple) for an hour now. I know JT said wait it out, but I havent read about anybody having it in reboot for over an hour.I dont know what to do?

What I'd like to do is completely disable any notifications showing that the charge is complete. Reason being, I use Bedside and at roughly 2am the notification closes bedside and lights my screen up until I acknowledge it. Then I have to close it, re-open bedside and I'm back in business. With my Sprint Hero, I used an app called LockPicker to disable this requirement. Apparently this app only works on HTC Sense. Anyone know how to do this with the Fascinate?

Nov 13, 2013I've recently rooted and am looking at getting rid of that irratating 'Choose input method' in the notification bar every time I type something.
I use Swype and the other options are Google Voice Typing (which I can untick) but Samsung Keyboard is greyed out, meaning that every time I type something I get the choice of Swype or Samsung Keyboard.
I've frozen the Samsung keyboard and now I don't get the notification and also Swype starts up quicker. Good so far. The thing is, I'm wondering if when I restart my phone my PIN lock screen uses the Samsung Keyboard, in which case I won't be able to enter my PIN. (I've disabled my PIN for the time being as I'm too scared to find out!)

May 23, 2014I have an LG Optimus Showtime (android vers 4.0.4). Im wondering if there is a way to disable data use by a single app? I uninstalled Flickr app because it used up so much data. I would like to re install it again but only if there is a way to disable data when Im not using it. The only thing I see is to go into system settings, data usage, and then either go to a specific app and Restrict background data or Turn Off mobile data. The past few weeks I have been turning off mobile data when not using. I have went into some of my apps settings and unchecked notifications, etc., but that doesnt seem to really save data.

General :: Disabling The Phone Contact Connection?
Jan 19, 2014 how I wound up with this but after a factory reset I noticed that in my phone contacts there are all these "connections" with a chainlink type icon. I didn't have these things before my factory reset.
I don't sync with Google, I use Companion Link and DejaOffice. DON'T want to sync with Google. I can't find a way to "un-connect" and get rid of these things. If I press on them, I get an option to add a connection but no option to disconnect that I can see.
I'm assuming this is either an Android or another one of freaking Google's attempts to invade a my space, privacy and run my life and I don't like it.

Mar 9, 2012Alright, I have a Droid 2 (actually my second one; both have had this problem), although it's not really a model-specific issue.
When I'm walking with the phone in my pocket and listening to headphones, the phone will occasionally think that the headphones have come unplugged when they haven't. This causes it to pause, and I have to take the phone out and unpause it.
Is there any way to disable the 'pause on headphone disconnect' feature? I understand that this is a hardware issue, but there is really no reason for it to pause, as the headphones are still connected.
The phone is rooted and Liberty ROM 3 v2.0 is installed, but the issue occurred when the phone was stock, too.

Sep 28, 2013I am unable to download any application from samsung apps, when I open samsung apps it shows all software and all navigation works well but when I try to download anything the waiting circle comes and it stuck at waiting circle forever and then I have to exit samsung apps.
I tried uninstalling samsung apps by root uninstaller and then installing it back again from apk , I tried clear data/cache many times, I tried updating samsung apps too.Although google play is working fine.

Feb 12, 2014I'm having an issue on my poor old Samsung S2. Suddenly I am not able to download certain apps in the google play store because they are not available in my country. I live in the U.S. and have always had this phone in the U.S. so I'm not sure why it suddenly started giving me this message. Currently the app I am trying to download is Guess the 90's which I know is available in the U.S. Is there an easy fix for this that does not involve rooting my phone or calling google support?
