My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S.
Since I got it I've been trying to get free apps from the Google Play store but every time I try to get an app it says "Package file is invalid."
I have Gmail already on my phone and it works perfectly, but every time I try to do updates it says the same thing.

I can browse apps, but when I click install each get stuck at "Starting download..." screen, and never starts or fails. I had kept it for 3 days and still the same. Market / Google Apps / Download Manager clear cache / data does not help even. Phone restart also does not help.So far the solution is do a factory reset and lose all current apps, then install 5 to 6 apps again. Then the same story begins. No more apps can be downloaded. Stuck @ "Starting download..."."Samsung Apps" application works fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am unable to download any application from samsung apps, when I open samsung apps it shows all software and all navigation works well but when I try to download anything the waiting circle comes and it stuck at waiting circle forever and then I have to exit samsung apps.
I tried uninstalling samsung apps by root uninstaller and then installing it back again from apk , I tried clear data/cache many times, I tried updating samsung apps too.Although google play is working fine.
Device - Samsung galaxy note 1 , 4,1.2 Rooted.
My samsung galaxy S3 is brand new and it wont download apps from the play store it gets to about 30% and then it stops everytime. if i connect to the wifi it works np, the wierd thing is it will let me update my apps on the mobile network but not download a new one. I have tried updating the phone, factory reset, stopping framework and removing google id and restarting the phone. I also tried putting my sim card in another Samsung Galaxy S3 but it still wouldn't download i then tried calling virgin and getting them to send me the apn details which i then installed but this was unsuccessful, so i went to the virgin store and they told me to get a new sim card, so i did but still it dosent work!!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedFollowing different tutorials on how to root my device, they all begin with instructing me to enter "download mode." They all seem to say that I need to press Power+Volume Down+Home and, when the warning screen appears, press Volume Up. Well, I hold down Power+Volume Down+Home (I check a video to make extra sure I was holding down the correct buttons) and all that the device ever does is continually display the initial splash screen, the reboot again. If I let go, the device goes into "manual mode" in which it prompts to reboot, update the device or factory reset it. Am I missing something?

After I tried some custom roms. But in the end I used my CWM Backup file to restore my original rom. But the damn thing just doesn't wanna connect to kies any more. Now I wan't to reflash it's stock firmware with Odin and I'm using a nokia cable (i know that I should use the real thing but it isn't sold in my country + in the begining I didn't have any trouble with the cable and my father flashed an android 4.0.4 on his Samsung Galaxy Nexus using this same cable). So when i put my phone in download mode and connected it gives me unknown usb device. I downloaded the drivers installed them tried again, but the damn thing just doesn't associate with them.
Than I showed it the proper drivers manually ( you know device manager-->update driver-->sellect driver; you get the picture) and still nothing. And i really use Kies and want to fix the problem. What should I do.

I have disabled Localization for Google apps and ads and yet when I go into the Store, I keep on getting the message.So after several failed tries, I used App2SD and extracted the .apk into my phone but It wont download showing that it wont find enough resources.

I use Tmobile UK and I got to Amsterdam last night. My whatsapp stopped working and today I rebooted the phone and now all my apps except Chrome and Gmail do not work.

I know that the my external storage is formatted correctly and that some of the apps are able to be moved to the card. But the move to SD card option is not visible.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Rush. I tried downloading apps to move it but it says there is an option 'move to sd card' and there isn't. Is it not reading the micro sd card right? I tried moving simple apps, messenger, bubble worlds, fruit ninja, whale trails, things like that but all it said was clear cache and no other options. I downloaded a few of these apps to transfer to the sd but they didn't work. I don't really know what to do because it says I have little space but the sd card is in there. It has 7 gigs of space but nothing is on it. How do I transfer my apps?

I called to Samsung support in finland and they said that i have to format the sd card and after that you can transfer some very few applicatoins to sd card but however i have not managed to transfer even one application. I have tried app2sd and searched around the internet in order to find some way to transfer apps to sd card. I found from youtube some kind of way, but there was like downloading some program to computer and then connecting the sd card and phone separately to computer and then giving some commands to computer and copy and cut and clicking thousands folders and some more stuff i didnt really understand the whole thing was really complicated. I am starting to be really frustrated for this problem or whatever it is, its just stupid to even put this kind of faulty "function" to any kind of smart phone. In every other way samsung galaxy xcover 2 is very excellent and easy to use, but i think transfering apps to sd is very important function/tool. I have helped some friends updating their SGS phones with the new software from the samsung firmwares website. However, now I'm stuck with a problem on one of the phones: It simply won't go into download mode. Normally, I press the volume down + menu key and while pressing them I push the power button. But nothing happens, excemt the phone starts up just like normal. I've done it the exact same way with all the models, but this model does not react like the rest of them. Today, I successfully updated 3 models this way, but model number 4 would not go into download mode. The model has the JM2 firmware now. The other 3 models had JM1 firmware, even though they were all purchased at the same date. Is there another way of getting the SGS into download mode?
