My phone was working completely fine until last night. I can't see my home screen or anything on it. I can still hear my phone getting notifications and the LED light indicator is even blinking. It is a rooted phone but I don't think that's what caused the problem. There's no water damage and I did not drop the phone. It just happened. Is my warranty void because the phone is rooted?

When I flash CWM for S7262. The screen gooes white. i cannot root my phone .
I recently brought an ALPS i5 (fake iPhone 5) from Malaysia. I mistakenly flashed a Goophone ROM on this device and now I have a blank white screen (back lit) if I try to power on or enter recovery mode. SP Tool does not detect it..there is no system buzz indicating device is connected..nothing...
All my MTK drivers are correctly installed (I tried another MTK device) but it seems like the PC is not detecting my phone.
What do I do?
my phone is stuck on the white screen that says htc incredible, now when i try to use the unroot method put the zip file. on the sd card and turn off phone and turn it on by holding the volume down and power button. when it tries to load the file as it should , it says no image or wrong image and does not load anything. now im stuck when i try to go into the recovery it lets me get there but i cant even wipe anything. it says something like E: Cant mount.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently tried to root my HTC desire using UNrevoked 3.1. Everything was going well and I even had the desktop gui tell me that the process was "done", however the phone never made it into the green and black recovery menu, and now when I try and enter the recovery menu the phone gives a black screen. I then have to do a hard reset by taking out the battery. I have tried running unrevoked again with the same results and have tried using Rom manager to enter recovery this way, niether of which have helped.
I've spent alot of time searching without answers, if any one thinks they can help or just point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
I used to have a rooted HOX but didn't use a custom ROM. And now, I wanted to do the OTA for 4.2.2 and Sense 5 update, so I did the OTA without unrooting and keep root from onexroot.com, but its showing the red triangle of death. So I did unroot my HOX hoping this will make things better. Yeah, it did relock my fastboot and wipe data to factory settings but when I tried to do the OTA, the red triangle of death is still there.

While porting SGH-T959V to the aries kernel, we've ran into a rather nasty SoD.
Without further ado, here is what I see on the usb-uart:

Then the device never comes back from suspend. The power button, nor any other button on the phone will wake the phone.
This issue does not happen if:
usb is plugged in a device that holds a wakelock, such as sdhc/mmc, is active. So: logging to sdcard So the only way for me to debug the issue is over usb-uart or internal uart (which I'm still working on trying to solder correctly).
My first assumption is that a gpio pin is set incorrectly, but I've spent the last 3 months tinkering around with gpio settings and got no where.
I've also tried enabling power management (both platform specific and generic) debugging, and followed the basic pm debugging documentation in the kernel.
I get zero information about which device is either failing to suspend or any evidence as to where I should look.
At first we suspected the ril (samsung-modemctl), but after I checked out a commit before that code was committed and disabled rild in our init.aries.rc, I was able to reproduce the issue. So that rules out ril/samsung-modemctl.
I'm was also thinking it might have been one of the gpio interrupt pins, and I went through each pin and tried changing settings with no change.

Sorry in advance for the nooby Q's but the apps2sd is getting me all confused here a bit. I've also bought the premium version of ROM Manager, it has the facilty to look for the most popular roms for your particular android phone. I picked out (randomly really) the Shadowfrost 0.5 rom and it's currently (slowly) downloading! I've got a 16gb sandisk SD card that I have just copied everything over onto my PC. There's also a function in rom manager to partition the SD card that I might use too. If it allocates a 512mb Ext3 partition and the rest as fat32 for my pics music etc....will that be it?

How to get to the recovery..? I had taken a backup to my SD card, but as i am not able to get in to the Recovery mode i'm not able to restore the back up...

As far as I can tell the lwp isn't being destroyed via Engine.onDestroy() on shutdown, I'm not entirely sure what else I need to take care of so that the system can destroy it cleanly at shutdown?
So I'd been wondering why my battery at work doesn't last that long. I knew signal strength was an issue, but then I opened up Spare Parts and checked battery usage. Normally ebuddy is only running when it does quick message checks and has a pretty short partial wake time. Out here where it keeps having to reconnect, the phone has a 100% running time, and ebuddy is always on! Fair warning to all my instant message addicts.

This error happens when the app is 'idling' (ie not doing anything other than redrawing the screen). There is no state change and no user input. The error occurs after the same amount of elapsed time whatever I set the frame rate of the app to and occurs both on the emulator and device. Changing what I display on screen can stop the error but there appears to be no logic to this (in one instance not drawing a large image stops the error but elsewhere just drawing some text causes the app to crash in the same manner).

I rooted it last week with the unrevoked 3 method which seemed to go ok then i tried some different roms and some worked some didnt. I tried to install the r8-bravo-desire-modacocustomrom-withadditions-a2sd+-signed...! This rom got stuck on the white start up screen. I thought that if i cleared the sd card it would install but still the same thing then i just got the white htc screen wich i cant get off and i cant load the recovery to change anything...! Have i bricked my phone?
