I recently tried to root my HTC desire using UNrevoked 3.1. Everything was going well and I even had the desktop gui tell me that the process was "done", however the phone never made it into the green and black recovery menu, and now when I try and enter the recovery menu the phone gives a black screen. I then have to do a hard reset by taking out the battery. I have tried running unrevoked again with the same results and have tried using Rom manager to enter recovery this way, niether of which have helped.
I've spent alot of time searching without answers, if any one thinks they can help or just point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
I recently brought an ALPS i5 (fake iPhone 5) from Malaysia. I mistakenly flashed a Goophone ROM on this device and now I have a blank white screen (back lit) if I try to power on or enter recovery mode. SP Tool does not detect it..there is no system buzz indicating device is connected..nothing...
All my MTK drivers are correctly installed (I tried another MTK device) but it seems like the PC is not detecting my phone.
What do I do?
my phone is stuck on the white screen that says htc incredible, now when i try to use the unroot method put the zip file. on the sd card and turn off phone and turn it on by holding the volume down and power button. when it tries to load the file as it should , it says no image or wrong image and does not load anything. now im stuck when i try to go into the recovery it lets me get there but i cant even wipe anything. it says something like E: Cant mount.

I can boot into ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.1 but my backup and nandroid files can't be located. Sometimes I get the Android with the exclamation point, sometimes not. PCIMG36.zip image can't be found either. I think my phone is screwed! I've searched through the forums and googled and tried out a many things but to no avail. Also, does doing all this through a Mac make a difference?
I rooted it last week with the unrevoked 3 method which seemed to go ok then i tried some different roms and some worked some didnt. I tried to install the r8-bravo-desire-modacocustomrom-withadditions-a2sd+-signed...! This rom got stuck on the white start up screen. I thought that if i cleared the sd card it would install but still the same thing then i just got the white htc screen which i cant get off and i cant load the recovery to change anything...! The sd card is working and i can get into the hboot and when it reads the sd card says wrong img! Is there something missing on the sd card? Have i bricked my phone? Any ideas on a fix?

I can still hear my phone getting notifications and the LED light indicator is even blinking. It is a rooted phone but I don't think that's what caused the problem. There's no water damage and I did not drop the phone. It just happened. Is my warranty void because the phone is rooted?

Can still access download mode. flashed cwm recovery ( recovery.tar.md5 ) and tried clearing cache and fatory resetting.

Since then, I have tried ROM Manager, entering recovery mode using adb, holding down the volume button and pressing the end button, and holding down the home button and pressing the end button. They all have the same reaction, the phone will come up with the htc logo and then the screen goes blank and then the only thing I can do after that is remove the battery. Sometimes the only thing that is different is the htc logo will stay on the screen and freeze at that point, once again requiring me to remove the battery to do anything. I have tried this using three different recovery images 1.2.3, 1.5.2, and 1.6.2...all of them have the same outcome when I try to enter recovery.

Instead, all I see is nothing but the white HTC, standing there unless I take the battery out and boot it back to regular OS. Do I have to hold home button and power button, immediately after I enter -recovery boot? and what button is the power button to make sure?
I know I did the first few steps of the inputing codes correctly, but how do I know I flashed my recovery image 1.6.2 correctly? When I typed into cmd: flash_image recovery recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img
I immediately got that # sign below it. Do i have to wait for a minute or so before doing recovery boot? I know I pushed my recovery to my SD correctly, it says the kilobytes on the cmd screen and can find it on SD memory.
And one more thing" I typed in both these codes as written: adb push recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img /sdcard and flash_image recovery recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img throughout the rooting process. Does it matter if I put a "c" after "hero" in both of those codes, because when I do, I get no file and directory error. And the reason I took out the "c" was because my file was named, recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2, originally when I downloaded it, so that is probably why I got the error of no file directory when I added a "c" after hero in those coding inputs.
I tried installing OpenDesire 4 on my rooted Desire earlier, which didn't work. I ended up seeing the flashing Android logo on a black screen when trying to boot and can't get past it.
So, as I have a nandroid backup, I figured I could use that to recover. BUT, when I hold the volume down button and boot the phone, it just goes to the HBOOT screen. I cannot get into the recovery menu. If I select recovery from HBOOT, it just goes to a black screen.
I have tried reflashing using unrEVOked3 and the recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-bravo-slcd image, but it didn't fix this problem.
I have the zte Carl. I can't do a factory reset .every time I try, the result is a white screen on reboot and stuck there.
