in my celkon ct2 tab when installing root apps they are not working.
I tried by using superuser from playstore....and my busy box versionnis 1.8.3 how to root it .to use tun.ko installer and link2sd or any alternative for that.

The phone specs are awesome and i think this is a nice hadware platform to have custom ROMs.
I am using this device from past 3 weeks and the device performance is awesome.
Before this phone i was using Galaxy fit for almost 3 years.
My device is Celkon A89. I tried it rooting with Super One Click. It detects my device nicely. But after rooting, root filesystem is only readable. Cannot write anything. Not able to update su binary also. No root permission for apps like Titanium backup pro.
I would like to install CWM Recovery also.

But when I am rooted or on a custom rom, they don't work. I know this is because I am rooted/modded (because the app makers indicated they check for root access).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a galaxy s phone with darky's ROM v10.0 RC final. evidently it is rooted but some apps don't recognized it as a rooted phone. first, when i ran the superuser it fails and said com.noshufou.android.su is failed to work...and then theres a notificaTION that su binary is outdated but i tried to update it a million times but always failing, tried this su update fixer but still negative results. downloaded busybox installers the first one also failed to install busybox saying the directory where i want to put it has a problem, tried to put it to other option directory but still negative. the other busybox installer says that my phone is not rooted. how come this happens when titanium backup recognized my rooted phone.

I am on the current .37 update.I downloaded dragonbox from the play store, and it loads but nothing on the screen responds to touch. Is there a way I can force this app to work on the Nabi? Or is this an issue with the software? (I'd be willing to get to the bones, rid the Monarch UI, etc. to have better functionality of the Nabi).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm asking this because HBO Nordic which recently became available in Scandinavia won't allow me to use my rooted ASUS TF101 for streaming. The HBO Nordic app says "Service is not available on this device because it has been modified."
I'm thinking one of two options might work:
1. Revoke one or more permissions
2. Modify build.prop

I should add that HBO Nordic works on my Galaxy Nexus which is currently unrooted but has an unlocked bootloader.

I have finally managed to root my tablet. Its a samsung galaxy tab 3.7.0 wifi only with 8GB of internal storage, most of which is taken up by system memory. Its model is the SM-T210.
1) How can i move apps to my sd card?its a 16gb sandisk...i have already tried folder mount, apps 2 sd and APPMGR 111, but they are either not compatible for my device or dont work/let me install them?
2)ive rooted my tablet...now what do you recommend i do?
It used to be the market would separate apps that were approved for auto update from those that had disabled auto update set. One could then simply hit the Update All (for the group) button and it would update ONLY the apps that were auto update enabled. Over the past few months Play Store has changed their behavior in that it no longer separates the apps and will only enable auto updates for everything or nothing.
How can I hide or otherwise prevent these few apps that I do not want to update from being in the play store update list? As it is now, I have to selectively update each individual app from the list, skipping the few apps I do not want updated.

Since then I am unable to move any apps to sd card. Its saying "Unable to move, system error". The only reason I rooted my phone is to install apps I like, if this is not happening then I am in a real loss.

I have 3 android devices (xperia s, htc one x and a galaxy s3) connected to a wifi network. This is kind of a protected network and there is a firewall involved. Also the devices are getting IP via DHCP. The problem is that i am able to access web site via browser but when i try from the application, its showing i don't have internet connection. There is no proxy configured in this network. There is an IP filtering in the router which filters the IPs starting with a particular series. But the web site and the application which i am trying to use are supposed to use this IP series.

I recently switched from BB to Samsung Galaxy S3 so I'm still new to Android.
Some apps like location tracking apps on my sons phone does not work all the time when his phones on 2g internet. But on wifi it seems to work all the time. Apps like life360 location tracking apps, remote control apps like androidlost, which uses push messages and also polling services works intermittently. Sometimes it works on 2g internet and sometimes it does not. But on wifi, there's no problem at all.
But strangely messaging apps like viber works continuously on 2g or wifi without any problems.

After I restart my device, some apps stops working, when I clikc them, it says unfortunately, the app XXX stopped working.. with no report option.Also, some apps that still working, their data just get reset.. like I have never opened them..

I have a Wildfire S with CM7. I have almost all apps linked to SD including GO Launcher using Link2SD, and I moved cache to SD as well.
When I remove my SD and reinsert it, all of the apps linked or moved stop working and I can't restore them with Titanium Backup
So I have to restore my ROM Backup and use Titanium Backup to restore them, which app I have to put in internal memory so that I don't get this problem ???

After the firmware upgrade I am experiencing the following issues:
At the beginning when I conmect to my wifi everything works fine for the first 5 min, all apps work flawlessly, then suddenly my phone only uploads date (up arrow only) but no down arrow n then my apps such as whatsapp, fb messenger, etc do not recieve any data until I goto those apps and stay in there for about a min. Then I get all my whatsapp messages sent about a min ago . But my browser seems fine..and the speed there is good.
