I have a GS3 connected to a wifi network. I want to reteive the wifi network password from it. I know we can do it if the device is rooted. I also dont have access to ADB. Is there any other way to retrieve the password from the device without Root and ADB??

I already have the root explorer application installed on my viewsonic gtablet, I know there must be a way to go in and edit that information, I just don't know how to do it. I know you delete ALL of the saved information, but I really don't want to do that.

I need to get the user name and password from my sirius app. I understand these are stored in .db files but i can't find com.sirius anywhere on my phone. I know i could call XM and get the password but i have special circumstances and this is not an option as I used the free trial and it never stopped working. Been like 8 months now even stayed working after sirius app update. Is there anyway I can recover the user name and password that the phone is using to log in as I just got a galaxy S3 an dont wan to loose my free XM.

I got my HTC Desire a few days ago, and as I needed a Google account for the Market I rememberd one I had created/palyed around with some months ago. The credentials were stored in my KeePass file, but the password was like 20 random letters and numbers. So I changed it to something typeable and entered it in my phone. Needles to say I forgot to change it in keepass and now I can't remember it.
Is there any practicable way to show the password stored in my device?

My bro forgot his google password. The secondary email is completely defunct. The security question is completely incomprehensible. He even filled out the form to convince google that he is who he says he is... no dice.

i did a *228 option 2 today to update cell tower info and programming and noticed that doing so erased the passcode for my voice mail which i had input to make things easier. anyone else notice this?

Things were going ok after the factory reset, but I noticed that the battery was taking forever to charge and was draining extremely fast. I don't know if the fact that the telephone was running my data manager, data usage defender, battery doctor, watchdog and memory booster for one day has anything to do with this (although the battery drainage and high consumption of data was before I installed those apps and it was the reason why I did installed them this time). But today (hours after I uninstalled battery doctor, data usage defender and memory booster) the battery got quickly drained and the phone seemed dead (it didn't want to turn on and i couldn't see the icon indicating it was charging when connected). So, I inserted my sister's battery, took it out, and put my battery again. This time the phone turned on, BUT I see a message saying "enter password to use encrypted device storage." I only use four passwords for all my accounts but none of them work. I have tried different wrong passwords (as recommended) like 30 times, and nothing happens. I read somewhere that I could start ODIN, which I'm not knowledgeable of. But I don't know what to do. I pressed the power button and the volume keys, and all is showing is a green man icon and a "Downloading" message. It's been like an hour already and it keeps "downloading."
I don't remember having encrypted my phone. And if I did, I could have only used one of my four passwords.
Does enabling a lock screen password do ANYTHING to protect the device from threats? Other than someone with physical access, obviously. Would it make installing malware or exploiting a security flaw any more difficult? Assume the device in question is not rooted, if that makes any difference.

So I went to a friends router and entered the password into my smartphone and connected to the Wifi successfully. While in the network I synced my smartphones Google account. Then I enabled Wifi hotspot on my smartphone in order to sync my N7 Google account to receive the newly synced password. View 1 Replies View RelatedAt home I turn off my wifi when I go to work and when I turn it back on, my nexus 5 doesn't remember the password. My nexus S was the same. This recommends switching my router to WEP (it's currently WPA-PSK), however I'm not sure I actually CAN change this in my router settings. Shouldn't it just work anyway, or is it a router problem? Should I just stop turning off the router? This feels like it shouldn't be a problem: why can't the phone simply paste the password into the box for this specific router name & ID, rather than me typing it?

If i input my password and press connect, it lets me use wifi just fine. Updated netgear to latest firmware last night and browsed through all settings, but didn't see anything that might make a difference. Still does it today. Even just going out in the yard and back, have to re-enter pass if i got out of range. Doesn't happen with any other devices i use... laptops, other phones. Even reserved the ip that my phone currently had on the netgear for the phone.

I would like to be able to get information like the total amount of memory on the device, the amount of free memory (which I do not know if the Runtime class is actually giving me, since it specifically refers to memory available to the JVM) along with information about the processor.
