View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC Desire a few days ago, and as I needed a Google account for the Market I rememberd one I had created/palyed around with some months ago. The credentials were stored in my KeePass file, but the password was like 20 random letters and numbers. So I changed it to something typeable and entered it in my phone. Needles to say I forgot to change it in keepass and now I can't remember it.
Is there any practicable way to show the password stored in my device?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi setup my Google account to sync my personal data which includes Wifi passwords. So I went to a friends router and entered the password into my smartphone and connected to the Wifi successfully. While in the network I synced my smartphones Google account. Then I enabled Wifi hotspot on my smartphone in order to sync my N7 Google account to receive the newly synced password. But sadly after syncing I couldn't connect to the Wifi because the password was not synced. What did I do wrong?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAt home I turn off my wifi when I go to work and when I turn it back on, my nexus 5 doesn't remember the password. My nexus S was the same. This recommends switching my router to WEP (it's currently WPA-PSK), however I'm not sure I actually CAN change this in my router settings. Shouldn't it just work anyway, or is it a router problem? Should I just stop turning off the router? This feels like it shouldn't be a problem: why can't the phone simply paste the password into the box for this specific router name & ID, rather than me typing it?
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy droid razr asks for my password to my home wifi every time i go out of range and then come back and try to connect again. Using netgear wnr2000 with wpa. If i input my password and press connect, it lets me use wifi just fine. Updated netgear to latest firmware last night and browsed through all settings, but didn't see anything that might make a difference. Still does it today. Even just going out in the yard and back, have to re-enter pass if i got out of range. Doesn't happen with any other devices i use... laptops, other phones. Even reserved the ip that my phone currently had on the netgear for the phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to android but just used the guides at this forum to root my LG Optimus V. I was wondering if now that I have root there is a way to install a boot password similar to the one I have on my computer. Before it loads the operating system, the BIOS asks for a password. Is there any similar functionality for android?
Also, is this possible on other devices even if it is not on mine? It's one of my favorite laymen security measures.
So I am having problems tethering via WiFi. I keep getting this error 67 password/username incorrect. Does anybody know how to fix the problem. I tried updating profile and prl. Phone is rooted.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a WiFi network at work and it requires a New password generated from a secure token each time when I try to re-connect. Since Android WiFi setting remembers the password, if it try to re-connect using the saved password (it becomes invalid after disconnected), my secure token become invalid. If I remember to remove the connection each time after I disconnect, I can enter new password when the connection is discovered as a new connection again. The problem is what if I forget. In addition it is inconvenient. Do you know any Android application supports remove a chosen WiFi connection password each time the connection is lost?

The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?
I'm on a family plan with my wife and 13yr old son. We purchased a Galaxy S4 for our son as a Birthday present in October. However, as of recent his grades have taken a dive. We notice he eats, sleeps and breathes on the phone. He primarily uses it for surfing the net, instagram or youtube. We were thinking of grounding him and removing his phone but we need him to have his phone as a point of contact. However, is there anyway to stop his data usage. I realize there is a setting on the phone to disable data usage but it is fairly easy to re-enable it.
Is there anyway to lock or password protect the phones settings or data usage?
I tried googling but the results kept yielding information relative to the "lock screen" which isnt what im looking for.
I am trying to retrieve the GPS location of the phone. I believe I cannot create an object of the class which stores the location in a variable. So that once the class gets instantiated I use a get method and retrieve the content in the variable. So I am trying to do this....
locationListener = new MyLocationListener();
lm.requestLocationUpdates( LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER,0,0,locationListener); if(!information.equals(null)){ Bundle bundle = new Bundle(); bundle.putString("hello", information); Intent intent = new Intent(LocationActivity.this, MainActivity.class); intent.putExtras(bundle); startActivity(intent); }
and in the locationlistener class
public void onLocationChanged(Location loc) { if (loc != null) { double lat=loc.getLatitude(); double lon=loc.getLongitude(); information = " "+lat +lon; Toast.makeText(getBaseContext(), "Location Changed:"+information, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); } else information="bad luck"; }
The mainactivity then displays that...but its not happening...could some one please help me how to get the values of this.
I would like to retrieve the name of a contact associated with an incoming telephone number. As I process the incoming number in the broascastreceiver having a String with the name of the incoming caller would help my project greatly. I would think this involves a query using the sql WHERE clause as a filter, but do I need to sort the contacts? An example or hint would be of great assistance.
