I have Desire GSM + CM7.2 RC1 + S-OFF, hboot - cm7r2.
I have a problem with Rom Manager (latest ver. + licence). It seems to non stop download "Data" with no reason. RM stores this "Data" in phone memory and can't stop until memory is full! I've checked in "Manage applications" and "Data" in RM is 100 + MB big and growing!

I'm planning on increasing my EXT2 partition space to around 4-5GB as I only have 100mb left of 2.5GB.
Do I have to copy and paste my EXT2 files to my main partition of the SD Card and change the partition size and paste it back into EXT2?
Is it also possible if I do this without having to lose all of my data?
If possible, i would like to add 100 mb from my 16 gb external sd to the internal memory so that the total become 202+100=302 I am rooted using 2.3.6 Using XDA premium through A5
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Gionee Pioneer P3. It comes with ZRAM enabled by default. That's over 300MB for ZRAM. I'd like to disable this zram so that I will have more RAM. I ran swapoff /dev/block/zram0 to disable zram. It did get disabled as seen in the screenshot above. However, when I run "free" command, I see that the amount of RAM has not increased.
How can I make the zram partition available to normal RAM?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm currently owning a Malaysia production smartphone called ninetology Pearl mini i5350. This device is powered by android v2.3.5, kernel 2.6.38.6-perf, hardware version HW4000-E4B-V1.2. I had tried numerous ways to root my phone but unfortunately all failed.
So far what I had tried:
Super one click root - freeze at step#7
Poot.apk - downloaded ministro ii but nothing happened (no key for me to press update)
srs root - auto root failed
Unlock root - root failed
Universal android root - root failed
Gingerbreak - stuck at rooting process.
I had tried many others but forgotten their names. My purpose of rooting is to increase my internal memory as the phone's internal memory has only 100+mb can be used. If there's any way for me to use sd card memory as my internal memory without rooting my phone that's great enough.
I live in Singapore and need to travel around 6-8 times a year. Being in Singapore, all travel is international hence data roaming charges apply.Every time I travel, I go through a laborious process to reset my wireless / sync / settings.I am hunting for a 'Data Roaming Manager' app where I can define profiles with associated wireless / sync settings. I could define a profile that specifies the settings I described above. After I define the profile once, every time I travel, I just need to toggle the settings on/off. A key need is that this app should cover all possible wireless / sync / download settings. Anything that impacts data download/upload.I don't have the necessary skills to create an app like this but am willing to work with someone who does. I am reasonable sure that people would be willing to pay for such an app at the right price.

Now I'm trying to retrieve some of those files with the only Internet device I have and that's my sprint hero. Been trying since last night to download a couple of them through numerous browsers onto the sd card but either the download never starts or it it gets part way there and fails. Anyone have any solutions for this or maybe a download app like Down loader for iPhone? Been searching google and these forums for help.

Dumb ass, I'm using the inbuilt speaker on the phone. While for the most part, this is fine, I would like to increase the volume slightly. Obviously not enough to blow the speaker. I know there's an app/mod for the headphones volume, but what about the speakers volume? Anyway of increasing that?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had my HTC EVO 4g for a week now and loving it. I always make sure I have a sufficient enough of space on my my phone's memory.. It frustrates me knowing that the application with the most database size is the contacts storage! (13.54mb ) What really bothers me, it gradually increases by the day.. When I first got the phone it was 9mb.. and as the we days go by it would increase. I don't even add any new contacts. What's the root of the problem?! Should i disable syncing facebook / gmail?

Again and again you promised us an update that will increase the volume (in call and ringing) of the X10. Now months have passed, there were several small updates introducing some new "cool" features (Wow, different colors for Timescape that keeps crashing after every sync with studiVZ (german facebook clone)), but it is still not possible to use the X10 as a mobile phone. n several online boards there are people allready running android 2.1 on their devices, and the volume is still to low for a mobile phone. So I am asking myself if this issue is "fixable" or are the speakers so cheap that they cannot handle higher volume? To say it again and again, I bought the X10 to use it as a smartphone and make calls with it. Otherwise I could have kept my W580i and my iPod Touch.

No sounds come out of the speaker used for listening to voice calls on the front of the phone. Wonder if the phone can be modified to output notifications from that speaker as well as the one on the side? Guessing though, that it isn't a very loud speaker though as you've normally got your ear stuck to it!

View 24 Replies View RelatedOkay so I seem to have a new sleep issue on 2.2. I also had this same issue with the leaked 2.2. This is what happens. My phone will be okay for maybe a day or even a day and a half. it also might occur after only a few hours. Phone will be sleeping fine and then all the sudden I notice my running time is increasing, even when the phone should be sleeping. Then the next day and every day after my running time is at 100% until I do a reboot on the phone. Here is the odd thing with this. If I go to partial wake usage there isn't anything there causing it. All the partial wake things are very small like they should be. With the GPS issue it was Android System that was causing the phone not to sleep and it was obvious. With this issue there is nothing showing in partial wake. I've also seen a few others post replies in certain threads with this issue. I've tried doing a wipe and starting over and that was last night. Within about 6 hours or so off the charger today the issue was already back. We also have another Droid X in the household and I took a look at it tonight and it's also running 100% since off charger and nothing really showing up in partial wake. I'd just like to see how many others are seeing this and hopefully someone can be smart enough to figure out what's causing it. I can't say for sure if I'm actually seeing a battery impact or not. Battery still seems decent to me. It's just very annoying knowing it's not working the way it's supposed to.

And the storage is getting lower every day. And I just found out that even though I store all the pictures and videos on memory card. But still size of gallery data is increasing. And right now it's 1.96gb.
how to decrease its size?
And one more thing this size 1.96gb is after deleting the thumbnails in miscellaneous tab.
It seems so basic but I can't seem to increase call volume without turning up ringtone volume as well. am I missing something here?

Sony Ericsson just saw its servers jump by more downloads than it knows it has phones in that region, surely this just means that any software/firmware they release in the future is just gonna be locked down harder. But are X10 users really that impatient. I'll put the first answer - yes. I've seen people complaining about the quality of the update, when they don't even have it yet.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have been looking through the phone setup and i cant work out how to increase the length of time the phone rings before it goes to answer phone, it currently switches to answer phone approx 13 secs if it is not answered, and i would like it to ring longer, 1, to give me chance to get to it,and 2 so everyone can hear my cool ringing tune!I know other phones you can set how long for example 15 sec, 20 secs etc, and i know the blackberry had to have a code pushed in to increase to 30 secs. but i cant see how to increase the mini pro. Any ideas?
