I have Moto E with Android 4.4.2 . I am facing the increasing volume problem where volume is very low when the call comes .

It seems so basic but I can't seem to increase call volume without turning up ringtone volume as well. am I missing something here?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI use my Desire in the car quite a bit, and as I don't have a bluetooth hands free kit, my old one got smashed in the boot when I dropped a big tool box on it. Dumb ass, I'm using the inbuilt speaker on the phone. While for the most part, this is fine, I would like to increase the volume slightly. Obviously not enough to blow the speaker. I know there's an app/mod for the headphones volume, but what about the speakers volume? Anyway of increasing that?

I am a former iPhone user and IMO there is a noticeable difference in the overall output db level compared to iPhone only when playing audio files like mp3 and .wav. View 1 Replies View RelatedAgain and again you promised us an update that will increase the volume (in call and ringing) of the X10. Now months have passed, there were several small updates introducing some new "cool" features (Wow, different colors for Timescape that keeps crashing after every sync with studiVZ (german facebook clone)), but it is still not possible to use the X10 as a mobile phone. n several online boards there are people allready running android 2.1 on their devices, and the volume is still to low for a mobile phone. So I am asking myself if this issue is "fixable" or are the speakers so cheap that they cannot handle higher volume? To say it again and again, I bought the X10 to use it as a smartphone and make calls with it. Otherwise I could have kept my W580i and my iPod Touch.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust noticed that notifications sounds only come out of the tiny speaker port on one side of the X10. No sounds come out of the speaker used for listening to voice calls on the front of the phone. Wonder if the phone can be modified to output notifications from that speaker as well as the one on the side? Guessing though, that it isn't a very loud speaker though as you've normally got your ear stuck to it!

I tried one volume control tool, but even though it had 'separate' controls changing ringtone changed notification and vice versa.

I keep the volume all the way up, but when I'm in my car or just outside with other surrounding noises, I just cant really hear it. It's useless to even put the ringer volume halfway or less, you could barley hear it at all. Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that when I have my headphones plugged in (but not in my ears) and the phone rings, the ring tone comes out of both (the phone and the headphones, which is fine) but it is not as loud out of the phone as when the headphones out not plugged in. If I pull the headphones out while its ringing the phone starts ringing almost twice as loud. Anyone know how I can make sure the phone will ring at full volume for those times when I forget to take my headphones out and put everything in pocket?

I have bought LG GT540 Optimus few days ago. Everything works fine except the volume of ringtone. I have set the volume on 100%, but the sound is still quietly. So I can't capture when somebody is calling.
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy girl just updated her s4 to 4.4.2 a couple days ago. She cannot download anything, it is giving her a "Former Volume not mounted" error. We have tried:
1) restarting phone
2) Unmounting SD Card and mounting back
3) Uninstalling app and reinstalling
I assume it is cause in 4.4.2 Samsung changed the read/write permissions regarding 3rd party apps. She says that she cannot even save the file location to the internal memory to save it, then move it when its done.
Why is it hard to find headphones with volume buttons? It seems like something that is an easy thing to implement. Why can the iphone do it and not android.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed that the ringtone volume is really really low and the headset earpiece volume is really low too. Its so low that I am thinking that i may have a faulty unit. The ringtone on max is about half as loud as a iphone and the earpiece volume is about half of any other phone that i have owned.
Has any other owners experienced the same?
I put some MP3s on my Inc and the audio player plays them fine and they're pretty loud coming out of the speaker.
Now, I took one of those MP3s and set it as my ring tone. I turned the ringtone volume all the way up and when I got a call, it's like half the volume as it played as an MP3.
Why do I lose so much volume? Is there any way to make that louder?
I've got a couple of questions about the volume rocker: if i've got an incoming call I hear my ringtone going off, but when I click the volume rocker the ringtone gets shut down. You can imagine that's pretty annoying when the rocker gets inadvertently pressed in your pocket (since it's so sensitive), you'll practically always miss the call. when the phone is locked, the rocker is used for media volume when listening to music. This combined with the sensitivity of the button is pretty annoying as the volume keeps getting adjusted when the phone is in my pocket. Is there a solution to these problems? Can the volume rocker be disabled completely? I must add i'm probably noticing these things more because I've purchased a rather tight glove (Puro) for the phone, and the buttons get pressed rather easily.

View 28 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased my X10 no more than a day ago and find that when talking to someone the ear piece volume is not very loud. I have set the volume setting to max and its still very faint and hard to hear.
I also find the Ring Tone Volume is not very loud, even after setting it to max. I have confirmed the Firmware is the latest version, just as a process of elimination.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or could be that I have a faulty handset?
I noticed that when i turn don't the volume with the rocker button on the side it says ringtone and only lowers the ringer volume. The system and notification volume stays loud. Is there and way to control them all at once?

I made a mp3 as my text message tone...its only 6 or 7 seconds long..but, the problem I am encountering is that when my phone is idle and my text message tone goes off upon receipt of a new text...I am finding myself using the unlock button to awaken the phone..swiping my finger on the screen to unlock the phone, and then going to the message icon to FINALLY disable the text message tone from continuing.
Is there a way for the phone to recognize that I am touching it, using the lock button on top of the phone or the volume keys..or SOMETHING other than having to actually wake, unlock, and enter the message area?
Most procedures refer to uninstalling an app altogether. The following procedure claims to allow for disabling: Apps screen > touch 3 dots in right corner > select uninstall/disable apps > click on "-" sign for desired app. However, I only get an option to uninstall no disable?

I like to check for myself to see if I really want a specific app update. Examples: some apps want to enable new permissions that I don't necessarily want; some irreversibly change or even do away with the app - e.g., Currents.

How do I disable these apps.For many of google's apps, the disable button is un clickable !!
Google play services allows disable, but a threatening message comes up "If you disable an inbuilt app many of your apps will fail. All your data will be lost"
why does the ringtone volume go from too quiet on level 6 to loud to room-filling boombox level on level 7?
there should be one step in between 6 is way to low and 7 is way to high.
using JM2 maybe it's fixed on a later firmware?
is there any other way to add a more sensitive adjustment?
