Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/pro : Increasing Ringing Length

I have been looking through the phone setup and i cant work out how to increase the length of time the phone rings before it goes to answer phone, it currently switches to answer phone approx 13 secs if it is not answered, and i would like it to ring longer, 1, to give me chance to get to it,and 2 so everyone can hear my cool ringing tune!I know other phones you can set how long for example 15 sec, 20 secs etc, and i know the blackberry had to have a code pushed in to increase to 30 secs. but i cant see how to increase the mini pro. Any ideas?

It keeps ringing! I had a couple of texts, which I read, then the phone just kept on ringing. Totally bizarre. I tried everything - changing the settings on ring tone etc, vibrate only, nothing has worked. The only thing that works is turning it off & on again (but when I receive another text, off it goes again!). I eventually just turned down the volume but obviously this is not practical. I drove all the way home with it ringing merrily beside me!
I saw on another forum someone else has had this problem, but no solution was offered. I tried changing the ring tone, but even after choosing another tone, it still rang with the other tone, ie 2 different rings at the same time! A friend says her blackberry does the same, and requires the text to be acknowledged. I tried this, even deleted the messages, but no joy.

I have somehow managed to get something on my phone,so now when anyone phones me they hear 'always look on the bright side of life!'instead of the ringing tone you would normally hear when you are waiting for a phone to be answered.How do I turn this off?

Again and again you promised us an update that will increase the volume (in call and ringing) of the X10. Now months have passed, there were several small updates introducing some new "cool" features (Wow, different colors for Timescape that keeps crashing after every sync with studiVZ (german facebook clone)), but it is still not possible to use the X10 as a mobile phone. n several online boards there are people allready running android 2.1 on their devices, and the volume is still to low for a mobile phone. So I am asking myself if this issue is "fixable" or are the speakers so cheap that they cannot handle higher volume? To say it again and again, I bought the X10 to use it as a smartphone and make calls with it. Otherwise I could have kept my W580i and my iPod Touch.

Just noticed that notifications sounds only come out of the tiny speaker port on one side of the X10. No sounds come out of the speaker used for listening to voice calls on the front of the phone. Wonder if the phone can be modified to output notifications from that speaker as well as the one on the side? Guessing though, that it isn't a very loud speaker though as you've normally got your ear stuck to it!

Please is it possible for me to browse the internet on my pc using my sonyericsson xperia x10 mini pro. Dont know how cause the phone doesnt support Pc suite, only Pc companion, and hence I dont know how else to do it.

Seen all these people flashing to Nordic firmware the question is though was it worth it? Sony Ericsson just saw its servers jump by more downloads than it knows it has phones in that region, surely this just means that any software/firmware they release in the future is just gonna be locked down harder. But are X10 users really that impatient. I'll put the first answer - yes. I've seen people complaining about the quality of the update, when they don't even have it yet.

The phone rings for about 20seconds when called, can this be increased ? I have tried using a music track as well but this only last the same amount of time.I cannot find anything in settings.

I received my new x10 mini phone a few days ago and am really impressed by it.
But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.

Just updated software and now my phone is not ringing through earphones, been through all settings and cant figure this out, anyone else had this problem and is there a solution, i need this option for my work as cant hear phone ringing due to loud machinery

I have had 2.1 for a few weeks, and must say I didnt think I was missing anything having 1.6. But its like having a new phone now I have 2.1 I love it. But one thing that is really annoying is that it is all too easy to accidental go into the arrange icons mode by mistake without even realizing it. Quite often I look at my phone and my address book, or calls have disappeared from the corners and now sit with the icons. Is it possible to extend the length of time needed for a long press?

Have owned an xperia mini pro for about 2 weeks now. It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.

Does anybody know of an application that could mimic SE phones of old in terms of call / ringing profiles? Ya know, you could either have "Meeting", "Indoors", "Silent" etc.I know you can hold down the power button to get a couple of options there, but I would really love to be able to switch between different profiles, with maybe having a few extra options in order to switch to a "Power Saver" profile for example.

I am not able to copy the photos from mobile to my computer.I have tried reinstalling the PC Companion suite and also have updated to mobile to Android version 2.0.The folder where the photos reside in the mobile is not coming up in the Phone Card Memory,Can any one helpe to sort out this issue? Or Is there ant seetings option which I am overlooking?

I have just purchased an X10 mini pro, however there is no applications bar in the bottom of the screen. The following instructions therefore do not make sense:You can personalise the home screen by adding application shortcuts: 1) from the home screen, tap the applications bar2) press menu bar and tap add3) in the Add to home screen menu, select the item you want to add How do I add app shortcuts to the desktop? Where is the applications bar? I also cant find mediascape, where is this?

I have tried the app funninly enough called Photo Zoom but the quality is terrible and does not support the remaining features of the in current software such as taking photos in low light etc. Also can anyone tell me if the update will perhaps increase the ammount of bluetooth headsets that r compatible with the mini pro. I have 2 very good headsets at the moment from previous phones but unfortuneately my mini pro cannot find them.

My Xperia X10 play the ringing sound in external speakers and headphones when I have the headset connected. The same happens when I use headphones and car navigation, the sound coming out of the external speaker and headset simultaneously. If I use Bluetooth or regular headphones, the experience is the same.

I have a mini pro...i had issues earlier as i didnt have an active data connection on my mini pro..but nw as i have it...not one inbuilt app is working! Facebook,gmail,gtalk,android market,youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! All of the above does open via the normal browser on mini pro..but not through these builtin apps!

I just bought my xperia x10 mini pro. it comes with a lot of applications. Even games where the trial period has expired. I can't remove them at all. I can only remove those i install myself.

I planned to but it tomorrow. My prime use is in business, earlier one was E63, lost.Mini Pro is a great one: Qwerty, android, Camera, small (Well, I dont know many cons...may be powerless battery may be one)Now can I download MS Office to this one?I need to 'import' MS Word template pages (Quotation forms to be filled appropriately to each customer to send Quotes in business).And also keep accounts details with many customers, to be updated frequently. Is this kind of 'laptop' jobs possible in it?I know a E63 or E72 or BB is most suitable. But I love it's above addl. qualities.

I bought my xperia mini pro 2 weeks ago, and it never be able to install any applications.
There is no android market icon on home screen so i searched "android market" on internet and using internet browse version.
I can access android market (androidzoom?) and find applicatin, but it says " yo do not have permission to open this page. market://~~~(url)".
I can do nothing without applications...

Keep getting told incorrect username or password but i know it's correct cause i changed it via the internet. I enabled visible passwords too. It contains numbers which seems to be a problem for the phone as i had the same issue with my google account, i had to change my password to only letters to log in. I don't really want to change my password to letters as it will be less secure. Any ideas?

How to find/get mms or sms animations? As a previous user of a c905 you could add little animations to your text message. On this phone there only seems to be smileys and considering this is a newer model, I thought that there would be a vast amount of features included on this phone.

I just got it today and let me just start off by saying it is the BEST phone I have ever had.
Design:Very Very well made phone, feels extremely solid and has no creaks whatsoever, the battery cover snaps on and feels just great! Very appealing design and great too look at, the 4' screen is awesome to look at even at Half Way brightness, holding the phone is really nice fits perfect in the hand and never feels like its gonna slip off your hand (yea you N1!), the thing that surprised me the most was its size though, I thought it was gonna be BIG but its just right! In fact it feels a lot smaller than I anticipated (maybe its cause Im coming from an HD2?). Overall 10/10 for design.
UI:This is the important part and imo it delivers very very well. Overall the speed is good, sometimes it can lag for a half a second on certain things (installing various apps at the same time) but for the most part it is very fast, comparable to N1. The only place it really kinda feels slightly slow and I mean slightly, is time and media scape, but nonetheless they are both very usable and Mediascape in particular is very awesome! (being a big music fan and manager). As far as having 1.6 rather than 2.1, its similar to having the hero, yes it has 1.5 but you dont notice at all since HTC Sense makes it look and feel totally different, its no different here SE has done a fantastic job here! It feels great and no one even yourself will notice that it has 1.6. With that being said when it does get 2.1 it will be amazing! 2.1 has been known to speed up phones and I cant imagine what it will do the X10. Overall 9/10 for UI.
Features:I haven't got too far into many of the things on the phone yet but I did a few things, camera I took some pics and its great! Only slight annoyance is that you have to manually turn on the camera light, I downloaded apps from the market and all work awesome and look amazing on the 4' screen, set up my google account, listened to some music, watched some videos, everything has been perfect so far.
So far I will say this It IS the best phone I have ever had, and I have had the N1, Hero, HD2, Satio and more. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer, I know I didnt cover everything but I will answer any questions if you want, btw I am using ATT in the US and I used Edge to web browse and watch some youtube videos, surprisingly fast and great to use.
