View 4 RepliesI wanted to enable full gpu rendering on my Samsung P6200... I am running 4.1.2, rooted. I downloaded the zip file, booted into recovery and installed the zip file, I rebooted, it shows the normal model number and that on the screen, and about the time when the boot animation starts it just goes blank, although it is still on, now, I rebooted back to recovery, I had made a backup moments before, I only had 770 MB of space left so it made a full backup except my /data partition, that failed, but I didn't want that backed up anyway.
I thought well maybe I should restore, so I went to advanced restore and chose the boot partition to restore, restore was succesful, I restarted and did the same thing, now I try to restore the whole backup and it says md5 mismatch, I connect to adb and mount everything, and find my mnt folder is missing, now I don't know how to fix this, if I go to install zip from sdcard it shows all my files and folders there, but if I go to /sdcard/storage/sdcard0 in adb it only shows two folders, Download and Webzine. How to fix this, I don't want to restore my /data partition due to the fact that it only did like 5% of the backup of it and need a lot of that data, if I were to fix the md5 mismatch (don't know how) what partition would I restore to fix the boot error? And how do I fix the missing mnt folder issue?
I bought the PIPO m1 tablet and i tried installing all kinds of games (not from the playstore) like Asphalt 7 in the instruction i was told to copy afolder to the SDcard/Android/Obb....
this tablet does not have sdcard and when i checked under android folder ther was no Obb folder ?i tried to buld one and copy the files there but still witout success
what is this folder and why its not on the Tablet
I should start off by mentioning im completely new to rooting and custom ROM (or even UNIX for that matter).I've just flashed a CM 10.1 rom onto my LG Optimus 2x. In the process my phone has lost its IMEI, and for that reason i cannot connect to any mobile network. In the 'about phone' section of the settings, it shows IMEI as unknown and Baseband as unknown.
I've learned that this may have to do with a corrupted EFS folder/partition. I didn't make a backup of this folder (i were following didn't mention that i should have done that)Now I'm trying to follow along with this guide to recover my IMEI. URL>....The problem is i don't even find the /efs folder in both the terminal emulator or this app I've downloaded "ES File explorer". Does it mean its been deleted? I've read that it may need to be mounted so i found this command somewhere on XDA to use
The first line worked in the terminal emulator, but when i tried entering the second line i get an error 'mount: No such file or directory'.
I just got two multimedia docks on Tuesday (one for home and one for the office. They worked well the first day but the next day, I could not get the weather to work. It seems to find my location OK but didn't put the weather info on the main screen.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently switched to Ubuntu and decided to use NetBeans for Java development instead of Eclipse which I used on Windows. The problem is, in the Eclipse I used on Windows, I had a folder named "drawable-hdpi" with the standard app icon in and a few other folders like "drawable-mdpi" (I think). But with NetBeans, there doesn't seem to be any folders named "drawable".
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing an annoying problem with an Android project in Eclipse. All my other Android projects are okey (at the moment). Whenever I perform a clean (Menu:Project->Clean...) the project gives an error and I can't compile/run the app. The error is: Project 'Project Name' is missing required source folder: 'gen'
As soon as I edit some code the problem disappears until I perform a clean again. I can also right-click on the gen-folder and delete it. Eclipse will recreate the gen-folder and the problem disappears until I perform a clean. This is not a showstopper but it is really annoying since I sometimes have to do a clean before I run the app.
Whenever I do a Clean on my project, I get 2 errors:
1.) The project is missing gen folder.
2.) There is a build path error.
I go to "Configure build path" and uncheck "Android 1.6". It works. If I do this again, I go and this time check "Android 1.6". It again works.
I have a png of a dock and I want it in my MIUI theme but how do I replace the dock thats already in the .mtz?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt turns out that if you are synching Outlook with a server, not all servers can handle Adroid phones. I don't know if an app like Touchdown would fix this, so if you need to synch with a server, check this out. Because I wanted to go with AT&T anyway for tethering reasons (a fairly unique situation), I went with an Iphone and have been quite happy with it, though the jury is still out on the touch keypad. An advantage of the Iphone is that the world has adapted to it. My Ford Escape synch system will not recognize all phones, but does recognize the Iphone, given how popular it is. This also may be an issue for some people, not for others.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI found a few, but I was wondering what the most popular one is out there?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo, I've been reading all the posts on how to root and as a Linux power-user I'm good with all that. I've seen reference to a couple of ROMs, but no comprehensive list of them or what they do. Is there such a repository or list somewhere that would allow me to look through a list of popular ROMs and choose one?
Another question, that might pre-empt the 1st... I like the stock 2.1 DROID, the only things I really want to be able to do are to overclock and remove a couple of the stock applications that I have no desire to look at. My reading indicates that I might not even need a custom ROM to do this, is this accurate?
I'm wondering what every folder contains in the system folder of a Custom/ROM. By system folders i mean:
app
bin
(csc)
etc
fonts
framework
lib
media
T9DB
tts
usr
vsc
xbin
Glad to see you guys are updating the market. The changes look nice and the additional promo tools will be a great way to get our target consumers' attention. At some point however, I think you should consider a you-tube style filter for the market. As a developer I work hard to put out something cool that is downloaded en masse for about a day and a half while it floats near the top of the new apps category, but won't pick back up again without some additional promotion. It would be very helpful to have a most popular filter for today, this week, this month, this year, all time. That way, we can gain some traction as a most popular app for the week or month (and hopefully beyond!). Please consider this in your next round of upgrades to the market.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a dock / cradle for my Android (GS3) but I don't think that matters. It would apply to any device..When I put a phone on it overnight at 30% battery, when I woke up it was only like 75%
I have the phone in the cradle, in the back of the cradle they have a battery, and then the cord is plugged into a wall adaptor (the ones shown on ebay) that is holding a spare battery. It took awfully long to charge and not end up fully charged.I know the Innodock Jr from Seidio which I had would have been fully charged, hours earlier..when I asked which one of two cradles to get, it was pointed out that any cradles advertised to do the same things, i.e. case compatible and dual purpose, will be the same quality, just get the cheaper one.
Or could it be due to the device dividing power up three ways (excuse my lack of Electrical knowledge) charging the wall charger, the battery back of the cradle, and the phone itself?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to find any popular multipayers games. Armageddon Squadron's room is a ghost yards. It seems like polarbit has great games but no one plays them online. Can anyone suggest any other flying, shooting, racing games that people actually play. I am not interested in quest games or Wow types games. I know some games have the capability but no one uses it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden I got a very annoying application dock showing on my screen (it's to the left in the screenshots).
I have never seen/heard about it before and I dislike it very much.
Can I turn it off?
I just got this app called Android Taskbar which is a widget that adds a taskbar type window for your homescreen. Its pretty nifty so far, but honestly, it'd look so much better if I could add this widget button that opens the taskbar/start menu onto my dock. I'm running LauncherPro Plus, and it doesn't allow widget buttons on the dock.

So I went ahead and got Go Launcher Ex. Is there anyway at all to remove the damn dock?

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen i goto manage applications, i select the dock mode, and its offers to clear the cache, etc... but there is no option to delete it or uninstall it, or disable it.
my phone constantly goes into the docking screen, constantly, i dont want the mode at all.
Every time I put my S3 on the Samsung dock and it goes into dock mode, it shows the temp in my area of 47 degrees no matter if that's true or not. It says it pulls its data from AccuWeather, and when I check there the temp is correct. But no matter what is ALWAYS says 47 degrees when in dock mode.
Does there something I need to do for the correct temp to pass through?
there is a way to customize your Android dock device with minimalistic text such as the picture shown at the GooglePlay store.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Apex Launcher with the Tablet ModUI on my E4GT (Sprint GS2) and for some reason I don't have anything related to "dock" in Apex Launcher.
I have dock options, and a dock in ADW and Nova. I prefer Apex just because I can have 8x8 as compared to 7x7 in Nova, and ADW makes the icons too little.
With all this screen space, I can tolerate not having a dock, but I still want one. Where are dock settings? Maybe I turned them off or something.
The weird thing is I don't see anything related to the dock. Lyk "scrollable dock" or "dock pages" or anything. It's as if Apex Launcher doesn't have a dock.
Here are some screen shots of the Apex Settings and home screens. The tiny icons are ADW and the ICS icons are Nova. The screen with no Dock is how Apex looks.
I even uninstalled and re-installed the app.
I accidentally deleted all 3 icons out of the standard dock bar at the bottom (CM7) and want to reinstate them.
When trying to reinstate the "contacts" button, I can't find the proper ADW-launcher icon for it. Where are these located, how can I chose them?
I have been using nova launcher and have been able to add sms unread widgets to the dock area.
Is it possible to add widgets to the dock area in apex launcher. I have tried and failed.
