General :: Nexus 7 (2012) Cannot Be Recognized

how to get my nexus 7 tablet to be recognized by the computer (I tried and after two days of searching for answers I decided to make a post). I like to include this information so people don't assume that I post without browsing or haven't tried anything yet.
The thing that I am having troubles with is that I have a nexus 7 tablet that is softbricked, I have already gone through a lot of ways to fix that problem (I found the best solution is this:[URL]. However, the issue is is that I cannot get my computer to recognize the nexus tablet to flash it and restore it back to factory settings.
I have installed and updated the device drivers on my computer, but still I have had no such luck. I found that ADB doesn't recognize the device whilst in the Bootloader, but still will not recognize the device in recovery mode.

I am trying to get a friends Nexus 7 up and running. I recently rooted it and installed the custom recovery using my Mac with this guide while the tablet was on 4.3. All was well, but then my friend was given the option to install the 4.4 Kitkat update. After the update, the tablet has been unable to boot - it simply hangs at the startup animation. I am able to enter the recovery boot loader, and enter options to restore from a .zip, however I have no way of accessing the tablet's memory from my computer to put the original operating system back on it- although I think it could be done from Terminal, I am not well versed in command prompts.

on my Nexus 7 (Android 4.3). Via the reading history of my pdf reader (Moon+ reader) I can see that at least one file is still present in the cache under the following folder address:

How can I access this folder? When accessing the device via the Android File Transfer sofware for Mac, I don't see this folder. I have access to Android/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/files, but this folder contains no files but only another folder (called "pinned_doc_files_not_for_edit") which is also empty.
The lost pdf is still there, I can open it in the reader via the reading history, but I would like to access the folder to see whether other lost files (which are not in the reading history) are also still present. To be clear, the file which I can open is also not detected when searching the device for pdfs.

Nexus 7 2012 when connected to Win 7 pc is not recognized in explorer so can't transfer files between the two except when N7 is in camera mode.
I've read countless posts saying to update usb drivers. I have the latest installed now from Google. I had so much trouble getting adb & fastboot to work that I'm leery about messing with my usb drivers.

I have samsung galaxy nexus with android 4.2.1 .. I install Kies driver in windows 7 (on my laptop) , but my computer cannot recognize my phone. the phone is charged and when the phone plug in to my computer, sometimes the phone shows the message of USB Debugging connected and connected as a media device in top of screen and shows the pic of these but after a second again this message remove. My computer cannot shows my phone like a usb and i can't go to my sd card of my phone via my computer.
in some days later, my computer can recognize my phone but when i install Intellij , my computer can not recognize phone. I unistall kies and again i install this but when the install complete my computer shows a picture like this
My phone recognize in a mili second and afer unrecognized! my problem is for my cable phone?

I tried to load Cyanogenmod on my galaxy nexus. unfortunately I had copied one of the nightly update files instead of a stable version. so the install did'nt work and I did a factory reset from recovery mode. Now the computer doesn't even recognize my phone any more, when I connect it via USB. and my phone is stuck on the google screen when I try to turn it on.

When i plug my phone into my mac at work, the computer doesn't recognize the phone and the phone doesn't recognize that it's been plugged into a computer. it starts charging but no alert about being plugged in by usb, and i can't gain access to options like choosing ptp or mtp. on the mac, android file transfer just says "no device found" as if nothing were plugged in.

I have a 16gb card now. I use it mostly for music and pictures but sometimes when I go into my camera. The sd is not recognized. Sometimes I turn my phone off and then it recognizes it. Dont really want to format it again because dont want to remove the music/pictures.
Is there something I should do or try?

So all of a sudden my phone will not connect to any computer regardless of what usb cord I use. I get a message that pops up in windows that says "USB Device Not Recognized" yet my phone is charging. I've wiped multiple times and reflashed my rom and still no luck. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers but it didnt do anything. I really need to be able transfer a ton of files to my sd card from my computer.

I have this smartbox to connect to my tv: URL.... with android 4.2.2..I followed all the instructions in this site (it is in portuguese): URL>....I've sucessfuly root it but now I have an issue, the processor instead of being at 1.5Ghz is locked at 1.2 Ghz and it is recognized by CPUZ as a 1.2 AM8726 ARM Cortex-A9. If I use cpufrills I can put the speed at 1.5 but he still fixes at 1.2,is there any solution? I dont have a backup of the original system because the recovery that loads from the SD card to do root is too primitive.

N9500 . It is recognized by the PC ONLY if i deselect DEBUG USB and re-select again. It will never charge. If i connect to pc when turned off, it will get stuck in the first image (the one with Battery and Lightning, but won't go through the second image (animation of battery "filled up" and battery percentage) At beginning i thought about an hardware problem, but these 2 strange behaviours give me the idea of something software inside the phone that's not working in the right way.

URL.... I used winrar to open a com apk file and edit a specific text file however I accidentally didn't un-click the "use as default program" box and now right-clicking and apk file will not display the decompile option or install to phone option any longer. I figured since the default program had been changed it was not being recognized by one click apk any longer so I deleted the default program for the apk file type in the registry and uninstalled then re installed the shellext for APK_OneClick however the right-click apk options still will not show. I can recompile folders to APKs but nothing else.
I am assuming my problem is fro the whole winrar accident as the icon provided with OneClick no longer is displayed for apk files either I just can't solve the issue.
I have tried open file with whe right clicking apks and it will allow me to select the decompile file in the APK_OneClick folder manully but then after recompiling the disarm folder back into an APK it fails to install to the phone via USB and after moving it to the phone it has a parsing error.

Yesterday, i installed the Cyanocream rom in my GY, i did not like and i uninstalled, i back for the stock rom with the CWM Backup, my phone says it is charging when it is desconect from the charger and i have problems with the USB conection, the phone does not recognize the USB, on the pc shows: "USB Device Not Recognized" i have the samsung drivers installed in my pc, i want conect the phone USB to restore it with the CWM

Phone is a Bird v 1277 twin SIM with stock android ICS as a base
The phone is about a month old and the headphones have stopped being recognized after about two weeks, I've tried about 4 different sets of headphones and all work fine, with headsets (3 different ones) you can hear but not use the mic. The phone doesn't recognise they are plugged in so the FM radio won't work, and the speaker won't turn off.
I've tried the various threads and google searches so have checked the socket for thoroughly for dust etc. (torch & tweezers) but nothing.
The fact they work but don't aren't recognised makes me think it's a software issue such as an app I've installed that doesn't work well with ICS I'd like to avoid a reset & reconfiguring everything especially if it's not certain to work.

Rooted according to Superuser asks to update binaries, regardless of install method selected, says "superuser failed to install, send log to developer".
Titainium Backup will also not work.Busybox says my phone's rooted, but doesnt install?
Tried SU uppdate fixer, said, Superuser not installed?

I have an el cheapo RFTech M109S tablet [URL] I've found drivers to get windows to recognize it (it comes up a s samsung tablet) but adb fails to see it.
I've tried start/stopping adb, different USB ports, different drivers (have not yet tried a different PC, don't have access to one). So my next step would be to modify android_winusb.inf and add in the correct VID and PID for this tablet.

I've already tried (re)installing the drivers and removing driver signatures in windows 8 x64. Moreover, changing the USB ports and cable didn't work either. The command "ADB Devices" works when the phone is on and in debugging mode. But once I run it in fastboot, I can't get past this screen.

I have windows update turned on. I tried checking this on another USB port, but same doesnt get recognised. I even tried it on different PC, it gets perfectly recognised there.
I checked Samsung Galaxy s2, galaxy ACE, desire C, but none of them could get connected. In the device manager it shows an error "THE DEVICE CANNOT START (code 10)"
I even tried using ANdroid SDK drivers & also the SAmsung drivers on their site. But it coudnt start. Windows update also coudn't find a suitable driver for it.

I have been running varying versions of cyanogenmod 10.1 and 10.2 for about year on my T-Mobile Galaxy S3, but today I tried to update it to a version of 11 today without a computer, just on my phone through the standard Cyanogenmod built in rom updater. It downloaded fine, but when attempting to install it it had an error and stopped. Now the only thing my phone will do is boot into clockwork mod recovery mode, and download mode. The download mode won't be recognized by kies or my computer, though my computer does make a beep sound when I plug it in. I have tried a lot of things, but nothing at all will work so my phone is essentially bricked right now.

I recently updated my Galaxy Note GT-N7000 to CyanogenMod 10.1.3 (Android 4.2.2) the other week. I don't know if it is related to the upgrade or not, but the phone no longer recognises the external SD card. I have tried three different cards (all 8GB), including a brand new class 10 bought this morning to test it. I've attached pictures of the storage page on the phone, showing that the phone sees the internal storage okay, and seems to recognise that there is an external card in (the "Space" and "Available" figures are correct), but that the mounting option is greyed out. I have checked all three cards in my Galaxy camera, which sees them okay. In addition, I booted into recovery mode (Vol+, Home, power) to see if the card was being recognised at that level, and I could see all the folders on the card then.
I have spent the last three hours searching for solutions, but there is nothing of use except "the SD card is corrupt", which clearly isn't the case here since I've got three cards that all work in another Android device.

I followed the steps on Addictive Tips on how to properly add an EXT4 partition on my 8gb sd card.
Now I have 6.xGB FAT32 as the primary partition, and a 1GB EXT4 logical partition. But my Samsung Galaxy Ace (running on CyanogenMod-7.2.0-C1-cooper, official nightly build) doesn't recognize the sd card anymore.
So I gave up and reformatted it back to a single FAT32 partition, copied my backup back into the sd card, but now the apps don't get recognized.
