May 5, 2014how to get my nexus 7 tablet to be recognized by the computer (I tried and after two days of searching for answers I decided to make a post). I like to include this information so people don't assume that I post without browsing or haven't tried anything yet.
The thing that I am having troubles with is that I have a nexus 7 tablet that is softbricked, I have already gone through a lot of ways to fix that problem (I found the best solution is this:[URL]. However, the issue is is that I cannot get my computer to recognize the nexus tablet to flash it and restore it back to factory settings.
I have installed and updated the device drivers on my computer, but still I have had no such luck. I found that ADB doesn't recognize the device whilst in the Bootloader, but still will not recognize the device in recovery mode.

Nov 27, 2013I am trying to get a friends Nexus 7 up and running. I recently rooted it and installed the custom recovery using my Mac with this guide while the tablet was on 4.3. All was well, but then my friend was given the option to install the 4.4 Kitkat update. After the update, the tablet has been unable to boot - it simply hangs at the startup animation. I am able to enter the recovery boot loader, and enter options to restore from a .zip, however I have no way of accessing the tablet's memory from my computer to put the original operating system back on it- although I think it could be done from Terminal, I am not well versed in command prompts.

What I am trying to do: Use my camera on my laptop on apps, such as Instagram, Whatsapp.
What I have done: I tried to use the camera on Bluestacks apps, but all I got is a black screen. Read the forums and changed the camera registry to 1, still the same problem even after restarting the app and computer.
Is there a way to maybe change the source of the camera to direct it to my default camera?
Or if there is something wrong with the default camera, I have an external USB camera as well. Could I re-route and get Bluestack to select that camera instead? There is a front and back camera, maybe that can be done?

When I connect to the server with the default Android browser it shows the site fine, but when I go to download a file (say a .doc file), the file is larger than normal and can't be opened in quickoffice.Yesterday I was trying to download a 28k word document that kept downloading at 158k in size. So what I had to do was find a PC, download the file, send it to myself in gmail and it worked fine.

Mar 26, 2012I am trying to connect my Droid X2 to my Windows 7/BlueCove Bluetooth server. I previously had my Droid X2 connecting to an ASUS Transformer so I know its possible to connect my Droid X2 to another system.
However, when I try to connect to my Windows machine, my Droid X2 sees the machine, but when I try to connect to a service that my laptop is running I get
IOException: Connection refused
My BlueCove server has been tested using other computers and works fine.

Jun 14, 2010I have an Evo 4G and I'm eventually trying to root it (the right way). I'm trying to install the SDK (for Windows XP) and I'm having an issue. I installed the Sun Java JRE, HTC Sync and I downloaded the SDK. I re-booted my PC, then enabled USB debugging on my Evo and plugged it in to a high speed USB port and then let Windows find the drivers. Now I did a test to make sure the SDK was installed correctly. I went to "android-sdk/tools", then opened a command prompt and entered "adb devices" to make sure that I can see the device's serial number...but I keep getting this...'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".
I keep getting this error message even after I prompt to the tools directory. I tried re-installing drivers, I tried deleting and re-installing all software and nothing seems to do the trick. I still keep getting "...is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".
