Recently I have found when I open the Auto Back up file in the Gallery app, it loads all the thumbnails up to a point and then nothing. The screen shot below shows where the loading stops:
I have tried to following to resolve the issue: Reset phoneCleared Gallery app cache and resetScrolling through the images in filmstrip mode
The photos appear in the new Photos app and on G+.

So when I save an image from Firefox it saves to a downloads folder on my sd card yet the normal internet app saves it to the phone (gallery). I can only view those pictures saved from Firefox through firefox. How do I get them to save to my phone/gallery?

i once had a blog on blogger.com with around 11 pictures in it. i recently purchased android phone ( samsung galaxy y duos ) and logged into my google account from the phone. Now the problem is that all the images of the blog are being displayed in the GALLERY. i am not able to delete them since i cannot find the delete option for these particular set of images.

Ok, so recently (out of the blue) I went into the gallery on my Android and all the thumbnails were a plain image with a padlock. When I open images, I can view them individually but I cannot swipe to different images. I have no third party applications installed..

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy mobile is xolo q800, see my attachments in 100 % zoom .1st image shows a comparison between the original pic (left side) and the same pic as my phone wallpaper (right side) with no cropping and scrollable taken by default screenshot (hold vol- and power button simultaneously). i have marked the problem areas with black circles for u to compare notice the scar below the eyes appears smudged in my phone...the same pic looks good without smudging when viewed with astro file manager or quickpic....but even when i set the same pic from quickpic(no smudging in quickpic app) as the wallpaper....the wallpaper looks smudged again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm an iPhone user. Upgraded from a AT&T Samsung Fascinate to a AT&T Galaxy SII Skyrocket.
When we put her SD card from the Fasc into the Sky, all her pictures didn't transfer over, I guess only the main "Camera" album. I used the Astro app and see that the additional images that aren't showing up must be in a subfolder called ".thumbnails", since it's full of image files.
I downloaded Rescan Media and ran that but it didn't work.

Recently I did a bunch of updates and started using google now. My phone performance has been significantly degraded as a result.
My most pressing issue is that after taking a photo, when I go to view it, it shows as normal brightness for 1 second and then gets very dark. This happens for every image as I scroll through them individually. It appears that I now have some sort of editing option or maybe google photos or picassa has hijacked my viewer. When I click on the gallery app this dimming issue does no occur. I am unable to view photos from the camera after taking them.
I need to send images from my Mac and Windows machines to my Nexus 4. What process or app can I use to minimize clicks and taps?
Rant: The Gmail app on the phone won't even save a photo to the Gallery! I just switched from iOS and this seems like a huge flaw in the OS and app integration, like with Google Voice and using Facebook Connect to log into apps. This is a huge reason why iOS gets so many more app downloads IMO. Registration sucks. Facebook Connect fixes it. Integrate it into the OS and it becomes a fly-through experience. I still have about 5x more apps installed on my iPhone than on my Nexus, partly because of this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just setup Bittorrent Sync on my Motorola Razr M and Nexus 10 so that all photos taken on my phone can be viewed on both devices. The sync has worked as far as I can tell (if I go into BT sync on the tablet i can view all the files downloaded to the device and view them by clicking on them individually). The only problem is that if I go into my Gallery on my tablet it has not automatically detected the photos, even though when I click on them via BT Sync the are displayed using the gallery app.
How I can make my Gallery automatically show them in my albums? It seems to show other random photos (ie. album covers from music folders I have transferred over) but no the ones I want. I was under the impression that the Gallery app did automatically index all the photo files on the device.
I just received a brand new Droid from Verizon to replace my latest refurb Eris because of all the call problems i have had. I figured I could just swap the 8gb SD card I was using in my Eris (because it's a class 6) and put it in my Droid. But when I went to the gallery it started acting really strange. It seems it's having trouble loading all the images, and it's been kind of jumping around and behaving erratically. Is there anything I need to do to my card?

I have noticed (but I don't know if that is really the implementation) from the youtube app that the images are loaded by batch and it is kinda fast. Even for not only loading images but also requesting some data from the web as well. Does anyone have an idea?

I have a app out right now that wont load images that are higher than 5mp but loads smaller ones. Im not sure if its 5mp or over 1mb, Im pretty sure its mp though, I have tested. In my app I am downloading images from a remote server and putting it into a gallery and displaying it. The problem is that when i do it on the emulator it works absolutely fine but when i do it on the phone few of the images come and a few are null. I tried many ways but I am not able to find the perfect way. The images on my server are of 50 kb max. But still some are downloaded and rest are not. it would be really great if someone could help me asap coz i need to make this app live by this weekend.

In my app I need to download a lot of images for data in a ListView. I do lazy loading and it works rather fast, but still there is a 1-3 secs delay before the first image shows up. My research in the delay shows that the data transfer takes 50% of the time.
Now, I believe that If I could do incremental loading of the images, I would be able to show half an image after just 75% of the delay, which is quite good.
I use Drawable.createFromStream which uses BitmapFactory.decodeResourceStream internally. But even though it takes a stream, it doesn't paint anything before all data is downloaded and decoded.
Do you know a way to load and paint images incrementally with the default Android lib? Or perhaps a good independent one out there?

But in this scenario, all my images gets overlapped with each other. Wherein i want 3 images to be displayed on each row, which i am able to achieve through xml.
I've reviewed some posts about lazy loading but I believe my problem is a bit different.
I have a gallery (my class extends Gallery) which displays 20 rather large in size images (400-500K each). I cannot load them all to gallery since I get an OutOfMemory exception.
So, I created an array of 20 Drawables and initially populated the first 9 elements (the images come from the Web) and set all the rest to null. My intention was this: on a fling to the right, fetch element no. 10 and set to null element no. 0. On another fling to the right fetch element no. 11 and set to null element no. 1 to null. Same logic on a fling left.
The problem is I can fling much faster than the elements are fetched.
My gallery has a BaseAdapter and its getView() looks something like this:

How do I tell getView() - if imageArray[position] is still null, show a "loading..." dialog and once it is set repeat yourself with the same position? I don't want to see the imageView empty and then set on the fly. I want to not be able to see the imageView at all until it is set.
It seems that my cappy has the tendency to lock up when loading images right when i boot up the gallery. Sometimes, it stalls for a bit, and sometimes it completely locks up, needing me to remove the battery and reboot. Is this a common and known issue?

In my android application i am trying to download images from remote server dynamically ( no of images dynamically come ). for downloading all images it is taking 30 to 40 seconds mean time user has to wait to see the activity . But it is the worst case that loading activity after loading all images. I want to load activity first then load images one by one.
