have a nexus4 with kindle installed. I downloaded books, it showed a download in progress. nothing in download afterwards! I want to download books and read on my nexus 4, how do I do that and does kindle read non kindle free epub book's and if not what does and where did my books go after download.?

I like the prices that Amazon and Barnes & Noble offer for their ebooks but I think they are in a proprietary format. What I want to do is to download the files and want to set path the download location to user selected location.
I like to add addresses to my phone book in Android. As a lot of my contacts live in buildings i also like to add the floor and apartment number to the address: Looking like that:
Street and Number, Floor and Department number
Town, zip code
State
Country
Example;
Av. Whatever 12345, Floor 5-A
Buenos Aires 1007

When clicking on the address the GPS of my wish opens , finds the country, city but not the street because of the additional Floor and department information. Without this additional information everything well with Google Maps or Sygic.
So, how should i add this additional Floor and department information to my address without the GPS has problems to find the main location.Also from ICS on there is only one filed to add the whole address not as with Gingerbread where you had a field for street, city, etc.
I have to do a small android application. It should connect with facebook and have to post feeds into wall and retrieve feeds to display in timeline format. I am new to android and fb. Could any one help?

I can no longer download my photos and videos to my pc. the pc no longer lists it on my cumputer when I plug it in. I do however hear the appropriate sounds it makes when I plug it into my usb.( hardware insert.wav and hardware remove.wav)

Unfortunately when I click on an ePub book, even one that I downloaded from the B&N Nook store, my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 displays an error message stating that it cannot find an app to run the file. If I run Nook first, I can open files by clicking an icon in its list of books. Unfortunately that *only* lists epub books that I downloaded from Barnes & Noble, not any of my other books. (I have ePub books I bought directly from Baen, for example -- no joy.)
I'm a complete novice with the Android O/S and have no prior experience with any smartphone or tablet whatsoever. I'm quite familiar with Windows (up through 7) and several Unix/Linux flavors. Also somewhat familiar with MacOSX (but not iOS).
I read epub on both my phone and tablet (htc sensation, soon replace by S3, and my asus TFP). It's pretty hard to find a good app for reading epub.I want to sync all my book, bookmarks, notes between my devide.I've tried:
moon reader (lot of lag when turning pages, and don't like to use dropbox, i don't have an account)
aldiko (no turning pages effect, no sync)
kobo (needs a account)
fbreader (no shelf, no syncing)
mantano (no turning pages effect, no sync)
google books (not available in France, can't import epub file)
go books (no sync)
Mantano had a service for syncing but It's really lame to having me paid just for that.So, at the end, I'm looking for an app with:
shelf
turning pages effect (optionnal)
free syncing
Smooth (lag driving me crazy)
Off line dictionnary
Why does latest Google play books update say it has support for epubs but there is no way to side load them?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, i've lost the default image viewer. My phone had a minor update which changed the way it receives further updates and added Backup & Restore.
But since I have lost the default image viewer. So without crappy mediascape I'm no longer able to click through my images, zoom and set as wallpaper. Has anyone else come across this? Is there a way I can download default software again? Pretty agrovate about this, x10 has been a nightmare since day 1.

I know Calibre does conversions but even the Calibre website itself says that pdf is the least preferred format to convert from and I often get unreadable output. I know that I could use the native pdf reader but I was really wanting to be able to browse my books as a single collection through a single app rather than having them in multiple places. Google Editions couldn't come soon enough for me as I refuse to commit to any of the proprietary store ebook formats!

When i try to turn on the tabletI get a blue screen that asks to reboot and a series of requests to update in Various ways. When I reboot it comes on and is glitchy. It turns on in safe mode. When I check out the requests I get a Scary green screen with a lot of writing and symbols I don't understand. Also I can't get the information for the nook that on the tablet, it won't open.
