Oct 23, 2010Is there any way to control and adjust the sound level when recording video? I recently took a video at a concert and the sound is clipping really bad. I also tried to connect various external microphones to the phone but then I only get statics / clicking noises.
Is it possible to connect an external microphone to the phone? (except for the one from the hands free set). Especially with the coming HD video recording feature for the X10 the sound quality really doesn't measure up to the video quality.

Jul 28, 2010Is there any way to pause the video recording function? I've looked all over the net and can't find an app or a reason why this feature seems to be missing from all Android phones.
This is HD recording and could potentially replace low end video units. Seems like it should be unnecessary to use an external video editor to get a vacation video in one piece.

Aug 11, 2010I have been agonizing for a month between the X and the Dinc. Up until last night, I still had no idea which one I was going to buy. I liked the video capabilities of the X, but from everything I'd read motoblur sucks. Also, for some strange reason I was hung up on the Dinc's lack of a dedicated camera button. I ordered my Dinc at 3 pm today, and I'm pleased to say it will be here by 3pm tomorrow. At which point I'm going to run over my Blackberry 8900 with my car.

Apart from YouTube, I can't watch anything that involves a video, and for me, that's quite a lot. Any latest news? Nov 9, 2009The camera button just sits there useless until the camera is used. How about letting us map that to a function? Personally, I would like to be able to use it as a Pause/Play toggle. When I am out and about listening to music, I very often need to pause. Currently, this requires pulling out the phone, pressing the power button, swiping it open, and (if the music screen is up) pressing pause. That is WAY too long, and a simple hardware button would be perfect.

Jun 18, 2009I'm running a standard camera preview (i use the camera api demo as a reference).
When i hit the capture button, there is a black screen for a good 1/2 second until the captured image appears.
My question is how can i freeze the last image being previewed on the screen while i do the capture work ? I don't mind that the quality of the displayed image is not as good.
If i hit camera.stopPreview() -> that goes into the black screen which i don't want.

Oct 6, 2010I have phone numbers stored that was transferred from my HTC phone that have a "p" in the dialing sequence to introduce a pause for e.g. a calling card. When this number is used in the X10 it will not recognize the "p" as a pause.

I currently have an old Nokia N96 so any modern phone will be an upgrade, however I need to mae sure that the new phone has at least the same quality camer and video recorder as my N96. When I'm walking with the phone in my pocket and listening to headphones, the phone will occasionally think that the headphones have come unplugged when they haven't. This causes it to pause, and I have to take the phone out and unpause it.
Is there any way to disable the 'pause on headphone disconnect' feature? I understand that this is a hardware issue, but there is really no reason for it to pause, as the headphones are still connected.
The phone is rooted and Liberty ROM 3 v2.0 is installed, but the issue occurred when the phone was stock, too.

Livesuit Shows no Rockchip device , it is now detecting a A10 device and I cannot load a Rockchip driver for the life of me , in the CWM recovery mode.
1. Is this device rockchip or not?
2. I have no control with volume controls can only press power which reboots right back to CWM
3. Is there a proven recovery technique for this issue?

6. Is there a way to get the device out of CWM recovry mode? Yes I have done a hard reset via the reset button still CWM recovery.
Device is a DOPO 7020 it detect under windows as a D7016 though Im not sure how to get out of this if I could even gain control of the menu up down to apply an update from zip this would be fine. I can work in WIN. MAC, Linux dont matter just need to get it working agin for my kid.

Feb 20, 2013I have CM10.1 (I'm using the nightlies) and I'm using the stock email app which I love. However it's missing one feature that I'm hoping another app (whether that's a replacement email app or something that works with the stock email app) might have.
I'd like to "pause" direct-push email functionality during a certain time frame. Essentially I'm tired of seeing emails during my off-hours and I'd like to stop it from syncing automatically during those hours. Just suppress the notification during those hours (it can sync all it wants as long as I don't see it).
Is this a possibility with the stock app?
