Is there any option to pause downloading from Google play store? I don't have fast connection and sometimes when downloading , I need to do something else and only can cancel download.

I have a Samsung S3, with Android version 4.3..I am completely unable to do any Google Play Store updates. My updates will start and after a few seconds every single one comes back with the following message "Error downloading".
Today I tried to update my Gmail application, and instead I lost all of my mails, including the app.I re-installed the the Gmail app, but now all I get is the following message "Waiting for sync". This message has been on my screen since 09h00 this morning - it is now 16h00.
I have a ZTE V889S (aka ZTE Blade C, ZTE V807) with android 4.1.2. When I download any application/game off the Play Store, it will download up to 100%, yet not install. If I exit google play, wipe the process, and start it again, then it will install the application that it already downloaded. when applications update, I have to restart google play multiple times to update everything, which becomes a nuisance.
I had the problem even on the original android 4.1.2 rom (with the default/not updated play store app), and I currently have Lewa OS (A chinese custom rom), which still has the problem. There is enough space in every possible install location (I've tried setting it to the SD card and the internal storage). The alternative chinese app market has no problem installing applications right after downloading them.
I wanted to start a discussion here where developers can possibly provide insight into this known issue on some devices and Android versions. There is a google product discussion over here

Basically the music app downloads pinned tracks extremely slow despite fast internet connections. It can take more than an hour to download a 10 track album. I've noticed this when streaming music too, the buffer does not load quickly at all, barely keeping ahead of the playback. I'm running a custom 4.2.2 ROM on an evo 3d and I know that on an ICS ROM in the past I did not have this problem. From the linked discussion above it seems everyone is running JB who has this issue.
My current theory is it has something to do with the encryption of the music that the google music app does in order for your All Access music to not be transferrable off the device. Possibly with the new way JB organizes SD cards, this has created a rate limiting issue considering the app was originally programmed for ICS when it was birthed.
Currently android devices play/pause on audio cable plugin. But I need it to do the exact same thing with the charge cable. Mainly because I use a dock for music playback on one of my stereo's and would like to just drop it into the dock and it will start playing, or pull it and it will pause

View 8 Replies View RelatedAnyways, whenever i'm listening to music, and I press the play/pause button on my headset to control my music tracks, my phone turns on. This get's really annoying because every time my phone turns on, it stays on for a few seconds, and this really kills battery life. I've tried lurking around my phone's settings and even my launcher settings.
My phone is a rooted HTC Wildfire S running AOKP custom rom with Nova Launcher Prime. And if it makes any difference, I'm using the "Start" lock screen from the Play Store.
For some reason.. my stock htc headphones wont forward rewind.play or pause.. the default music player! they do work cuz they play/pause mspot and double twist... i unistalled both restarted my phone.. took out the battery.. im about too reset it soon.. but just wondering if any other HTC desire Z owners have experienced a similar problem and found a solution (i've searched and found no1 with a similar problem.. must be in my settings or something).

I have all my roms, odin restore things, apk files, custom ringtones all stored in Google Drive, previously in Dropbox (I didn't like having to re-login each time I restored the app and data when I installed a new rom). I also store the actually folders themselves on my Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Tab 10.1, both on 4.0.4.
But my issue is that, whenever I download a file (.apk and .epub are the ones I tried because I was trying to install an app and add an ebook to the nook app.) it doesn't download correctly or something, because my .apks all say "Parsing error" and the Nook app tells me it can't open my ebooks even though, I can open both on my computer (Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit, service pack 1). This happens on both my Galaxy Nexus and Tab, on both dropbox and Google Drive. Both Google Drive and Dropbox say they have synced the files correctly.
I realized it was Google Drive and Dropbox, because when I transferred the files directly from my computer to the each device, they worked. The app installed, and the ebook opened,.
Recently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
How I can stop update the google play version automatically ??
Because if I donwgrade them to 4.0 he automatically update to 4.3 !!
Hey guys, I just bought the Jabra BT8040 and I have it paired up with my Droid, however I can't figure out how to pause/play music with it. I can hear the music fine but the end/answer button doesn't pause or play the music
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an application that is playing audio, and I would like to allow the listener to toggle between pause and play while the screen is locked, as it is a hassle to have to unlock the screen in order to pause the audio playback. Is there any way to monitor for KeyEvent.KEYCODE_DPAD_CENTER while the the screen is locked? I have been looking through the documentation but have not found any information on how to do this.
View 12 Replies View RelatedIn the past, when listening to music on my Incredible, if I locked the phone the music would continue to play just fine. If I wanted to pause/play/skip a song, all I had to do was hit the power button and above the "Slide to unlock" bar there was a music control bar.
Now, my music still plays, but those buttons are gone from the lock screen. This is a pain because in order to pause my music when someone comes to my desk at work I have to hit the power button, unlock the phone, slide down the notifications window, wait for the music app to load then hit pause.
Anyone know how to get these buttons back?
I'm hoping for some pointers. I simply want two buttons.. nothing more, to allow me to control my music.I know, I know. "Why not just use the music widget?" just trying out Google Play Music today. I'm confused though as I have around 10000 music files sitting in a folder on Google drive. I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. Surely Google is able to connect two parts of its cloud together and I don't have to re upload everything?

I recently purchased an HTC Desire and have been very happy with it. All was going smoothly until recently when my Market downloads suddenly started hanging, both free and purchased ones. I have internet connection - no problem there. The only thing I can think of that has changed is that I recently converted from googlemail to gmail. Could that have any effect? Anyone have a suggestion as to how I might fix this short of a total reset of my phone to factory settings?

1) Rooted
2) Google Play installed
3) Display DPI changed to 120
My problem is that many popular apps on Google Play are incompatible with it. The display resolution is 800x480, which is standard.How do I make it compatible with Google Play? Searching for incompatibility, gave some results about display DPI, but it did not solve my issue.
Anyone lately get the Google talk authentication error notification repeatedly and find that they can no longer download apps from the Android market? Mine is going on the third day now and endless Google searches reveal that this problem has affected various Android devices worldwide, including the Incredible that just came out. I've tried all kind of suggestions but none work and there doesn't seem to be any official response from Google on the matter. I wonder if it is a hardware problem since these forums are not buzzing on these issues at all. In my case the phone worked perfectly for 2 days after activating and knowing how high the demand has been surely more people would be experiencing the same issues were it a device or cloud software problem. If anyone else has the same problems please post here.

I was receive my new android 4.0.4, buyed at Singapure store.
After configure that, I try using google play store, but the icon disappear. I try install that with some APK downloaded, 10.9, 10.10, etc, and the play store appear in my appliactions now.But, when I open it, after 2 seconds they close..If I go into running application, the play store is still runiing, with the process dailyhygiene (what is this???)

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone is rooted and it has been for a while and i wanted to downgrade my play store to 3.7 but my phone came from the factory with the newest play store pre-installed so i couldn't just go into manage apps and uninstall updates because my phone never had 3.7 on it so i uninstalled the play store using my root uninstaller (like an idiot) and went through a time period of about a week where I couldn't even get the play store installed. last night i finally got it installed to the point where I could actually see the app in my apps list. So after getting the play store re-installed I thought i was finally done with this problem. However when i touch the app icon to open the play store the screen just hangs stays black for a few seconds before telling me that the google play store stopped working. so im stuck with the app closing pretty much right after i open it.
