Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Rooted With 2.2 And Flash Hd Recording?
Jul 4, 2010I have been waiting and reading for months with regard to getting a new phone. I currently have an old Nokia N96 so any modern phone will be an upgrade, however I need to mae sure that the new phone has at least the same quality camer and video recorder as my N96. I had almost set my self on the Iphone 4 but luckily I waited an what a good choice that was with all the problems the iphone 4 is having. So yet again I started looking and have always liked the x10 because of its build and camera but hated it because of it having old 1.6 android and no hd recording or flash. Then suddenly I read the somone has managed to root the x10 and so im guessing that it wont be long until 2.2 with flash and hd recording and multitouch is released ?

Sep 23, 2010I read that along with 2.1 Android update, the X10 is also getting an update to be able to record in HD? I was wondering does this mean you will have to get another X10 for it to video record? Or can you just update your phone and it will be able to HD record?

Apart from YouTube, I can't watch anything that involves a video, and for me, that's quite a lot. Any latest news? I did ask before and I was told something about when it gets rolled out isn't the same as when we can actually use it. Can anyone elaborate? Also, when a webpage automatically changes to mobile friendly (e.g. ITV.com) and doesn't have the option that you normally find at the bottom of the page to change to desktop version, is there anyway to change it?

Oct 23, 2010Is there any way to control and adjust the sound level when recording video? I recently took a video at a concert and the sound is clipping really bad. I also tried to connect various external microphones to the phone but then I only get statics / clicking noises.
Is it possible to connect an external microphone to the phone? (except for the one from the hands free set). Especially with the coming HD video recording feature for the X10 the sound quality really doesn't measure up to the video quality.

Sep 11, 2010Does anyone known of a good video editor application or pc software for 3gpp video taken on the x10 mini all i want to do is crop about 15 secs off a video i took but can't find one, downloaded 1 of andriod market but was just a player and not a editor like they claimed. why these features not installed standed anymore like they where on yesterdays bricks.

Jun 5, 2010Don't know if anyone knew this but if you download the LED Desire light from the app store, use the app first to leave the LED lights on and go to your video recorder. You can now record video in the dark and have somewhat clarity with the LED lights on. Granted it would probably be a big energy waster, but atleast you know have a choice.

May 6, 2010my camera flash works just fine but when i switch to the camcorder app i cant use the flash. it symbol is there but its grayed out and i cant turn it on. is there a setting im missing or another app that will let me use the flash with video recording?

Aug 21, 2010I can't get bluetooth to run on my X10. I don't usually use it but today I wanted to. Everything else I have set to off to save battery life. I only use 3G for Internet use which I cannot do without.
My phone says it is up to date. I am sure there are a quadrillion updates or fixes users of X10 want. I have to say though, this is actually my first and only problem with X10.
