View 3 RepliesI am sure this has happened to many - with persistent notifications the status bar is all taken up and any new notifications do not show up without dropping the notification scroll.
Short of removing persistent notifications, I have tried No LED/ Super Notifier/ Super Status Bar/ Status Bar Pro - all have one or the other problems. For example the Super Status bar just did not work. So I am writing to ask??
Is there an elegant solution - such as maybe double wide status bar, or like windows - hiding the notifications you do not need to see but they're still there (so you can ensure the app did not go quit on ya).
I am running a Verizon Spectrum LG VS920 Stock GB ROM.
I'm looking for an email app with really persistent notifications, that is: instead of the single tone/vibrate notification when a new email arrives, I need it to keep notifying me periodically (say, once per minute) until I open the app and read the email, or at least clear it from the notification shade.
recommend an email app that does that, or an addon/plugin/extra app that accomplishes the same thing?
Unless I'm mistaken, it seems the X only ringtones or vibrates one time when an SMS, MMS or GMail is received. There does not seem to be a method to allow periodic ringtones, vibrations or LED blinks -- to indicate a message was received. So the only way to see if you have a message seems to be to wake the phone up. If true -- this would be a real bummer.

I'm not searching for an app which can make the bar visible if i do a gesture or anything else in a full screen app

I updated my Droid 2 last night to v4.5.621 and now my status/notification bar is gone. I have not found where to cut it back on.
View 5 Replies View Relateddo you know what app/widget that is on the left? Maybe, do you know similar apps that can show all kinds of notifications on homescreen (not lockscreen)?
The screenshot was on Simple Calendar Widget but it has to be another app.
Is there an application that will force your incoming calls to only show in the status bar instead of interrupting your current session? I have seen a video showing what I'm looking for but it was an iPhone app for unlocked devices.
View 1 Replies View RelatedGot my HTC Desire Z flashed to CM10.1 and have some tweaked but after I take two optimized commands into the file
/system/etc/init.d/00banner
Commands are about to boost up the reading speed of SDcard, type like
/system/xbin/echo "4096" > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb;
/system/xbin/echo "4096" > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/default/read_ahead_kb;
Actually I modified these files with RecoveryFileManager at first but I found that was failed after I reboot the device, so I just type these commands into the init.d, but after that, I just find my status bar and notification bar was lost and disappeared, not only home screen but also all around the surface in the system.
Is there something that replicates this feature?: changing a notifications priority/or hiding the notification icon from the status bar.
I know that you can permanently hide all notifications of an app via app info, but what I am looking for is something that will allow me to only hide any icon from the status bar, but the notification will still be there when I pull down the notification shade.
I currently use a ROM that has this feature, and I have yet to find it implemented in any other way or through any other ROM. I would love to go back to stock or an AOSP rom and use only Xposed modules, but this is the only thing that is stopping me. This feature is absolutely vital in my opinion in my everyday use.
You can see this feature in the screenshot below. When I long press any notification when I select the Hide status bar apps notification icon, the icon will not show up. As if it either replaces it (which I believe it does with a transparent dot) or just as useful would be to change the priority of the notification to low.
This just amazes me that I can't find anything else that does this. I'm hoping there is some type of xposed module that can replicate this feature, or anything really. If only i could find the code in the source of the rom myself to compile it into stock or something... Nexus 5
I want to change the Black background in the Statusbar and Notificationbar to lightblue. Then i want to change Blue Textes in Statusbar/Notificationbar to White. And then, i want to change the Clockposition to middle in the Statusbar.
I followed many tutorials but always got a error at compiling

I'm curious how can i modify the status bar [URL] .... <---- where is wifi activation ,data sound etc.
and
notification bar [URL] ..... <--- Where is the battery ,clock wifi signal etc.
I want the notification bar ICS like (blue icons) and the notification bar icons the same ,just change the color to blue.
I followed a guide in order to change framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from /system/ ( my phone is rooted + cwm) but i couldnt get it going (i couldnt find all the icons to change).
I own a galaxy ace duos S6802 and after researching a bit ,I have now managed to install A- Droid ROM,the only one which was available.I want to customize the status bar by changing the color,adding more toggles on the notification bar;And lowering its transparency.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, we all know that some apps that are meant to always be running have this feature to place a constant notifcation in the statusbar which keeps the app from being killed off by Android... and now we got, in Jellybean, the possibility to hide notifcations from any app. If I do this with an app that has this enhanced priority notification running, will the app still remain "protected" from being killed? Or will the hiding of this notification result in the app being reduced back to its "regular" state?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Cyanogenmod 10.1 (self-built) on my Samsung I9300 Int., but I assume the question applies to every android version (I'm new to android development and flashing custom firmwares to my phone, but I have thorough experience with other embedded devices and gnu/linux):
I'm currently modifying a system apk (specifically LockClock.apk), which comes with CM10.1. From time to time, I "adb push" a modified version of the apk to my /system/app. (When the app works), it works without problems until the phone is restartet. After the reboot, the application does no longer appear to be installed (though the modified apk is still present in /system/app). I have to "adb push" the apk again, to make it work again. Is there a way to make the app permanently installed after an "adb push"?

View 1 Replies View RelatedDon't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't seem to open the notification panel by long-pressing the status bar and dragging down, which I understand is how it should be done. Whenever I do this it either wants to remove the widget, or it brings up the "Add to Home" screen. I can still get to the notifications panel by choosing Menu then Notifications from the home screen, but can't understand why I can't get it the normal way.

Does anyone know if there is a way to group a notification in the status bar but not in the list of notifications? I want to show only one icon in the status bar but when the user drags down the "notifications list" it should be several notifications with different intents. As I understood there is only possible to either group both notifications on both places or to create several notifications which will cause several notifications in the status bar.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to mute audio notification of new emails without also suppressing notifications in the status bar? I get way too much email to have it play a sound every time one comes in, but I do still want to be able to see at a glance when I have new messages I've figured out how to change the ringtone, but there's no option to use no ringtone at all. I'm hoping there's a better solution than recording a blank ringtone!
