View 1 RepliesI'm not sure if it works on other devices I'm using an OV running cai. you won't need any messaging app other than stock. So go into your stock messaging app, and hit the menu button. Go into settings, and find emojis support, and check that. Then right above that (on my phone) check the option that says Unicode support. These options both are under extra settings!
Now to get the emojis go your messaging, go into a new message or one that your already talking to (your girl , hit the menu button and it gives the option the insert smiley's and the option to insert emojis! The rest is easy
online....(twitter, insta, fb, etc) why can't Emoji be cracked for Android? We have custom roms...themes...pirates...etc but no simple emojis hahahaha why is this?

I am looking for a Twitter client for Android that can ...
1. Handle multiple accounts
2. Display multiple accounts on the widget
I like Seesmic but the widget is just too small for my taste. I can only see the very last tweet. It would be nice to have a widget where either tweets from multiple accounts are combined or there is the option to switch between the accounts quickly directly from the widget. Any suggestions?
I have a user's twitter handle. Right now I'm opening it through a web page like:
String url = "http://www.twitter.com/" + "example_handle";
Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(url));
startActivity(intent);
If the user has the Twitter android app installed, is there a different intent I can use which gives the user the option to view that user's twitter feed in the Twitter app, instead of forcing them directly to a browser? I'm not sure if the author's of the Twitter app have exposed any such intent.
Softbank Japan has just released an sms/mms app that allows sending and receiving emoji! I just tested with my wife's iphone, and I could send emoji fine with my HTC Desire (Softbank x06HT), and I could receive it fine! A big selection of emoji too, maybe the complete set that Softbank usually includes on their other phones. It is buggy and a bit clunky, but it's a *lot* better than nothing! Lots of complaining in the comments section, but I don't think it's that bad. Now, the big question: Is it available in other markets? I'm in Japan right now, and I searched for "Softbank" in the market and I found it... It's called "Softbank メール". The link that they sent me in a news SMS is: "http://market.android.com/search?q=jp.softbank.mb.mail". They also say it is Froyo only...
Lastly, for those who have been in Japan a while and have an @softbank.ne.jp or @x.vodafone.ne.jp (like me) can now use those mails on their phones as well, inside the app. I sent myself a message and received it fine, and when I replied it sent from my old vodafone mail address (although I haven't figured out how to choose between SMS and e-mail for sending yet). EDIT: Figured it out, just type in a phone number (or choose from contacts) to send an SMS, type in an e-mail address to send from your @softbank or @vodafone address. Swet. I'll see if I can post the full message, for those who can read Japanese (I can't read very much of it, only hiragana/katakana).

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs you know, Twitter shut down Tweetdeck for Android, I was using a modified version by Modaco (Tweakdeck).
It was an old Twitter client, but it had the ability of putting all your searches in separated and unlimited columns.
So I had the basic colums: Timeline, Mention and DM, but after that I had like 10 searches!
My city name (So I knew what was happening anytime), one of my search was "nexus 4" so I had all the tweets in the world containing nexus 4.
You had add someone timeline as a column itself (If you didn't want to follow him or the timeline was very important).But now it doesn't work , app was pulled from the PlayStore.
I have installed a lot of apps and no one can do what Tweetdeck or Tweakdeck did..

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've got a Galaxy S4. I've got Twitter set to notify me when certain people tweet in addition to the standard mention and direct message notifications. It seems like recently it's only showing the latest notification in the notifications drawer (pull-down). If I get a mention, for example, and don't dismiss it and then get a direct message a few moments later the mention in my notifications pull-down is replaced with the direct message.

For some reason my Twitter app isn't pushing notifications to my device. I have it set to sync data every 5 minutes and it still isn't pushing any notifications even after 5 minutes. I'm not really sure if the sync setting has anything to do with notifications though.
