Android :: Notifications Not Working With Default Twitter Client
Aug 19, 2010The other day I was clearing up some space on my phone so I was removing data from a few apps. Twitter happens to be one and up to that point it worked fine. This is the default twitter app that came with my nexus one and it has all the latest updates.Since that though its not refreshing itself until I press the refresh button and because of that, I think, I get no notifications. I've looked through all the settings and everything looks right. Update interval Is at 5, same as before and syncing is enabled everywhere. But it does nothing until I pressure the refresh button myself. The Gmail client still works perfectly and I get notifications as always when I get an email.I know your probably gonna tell me to get another Twitter client but all I use it for Is reading news so this one has everything I need and a nice simple UI. Plus it came with the phone so I can't uninstall it anyway.

Nov 29, 2012For some reason my Twitter app isn't pushing notifications to my device. I have it set to sync data every 5 minutes and it still isn't pushing any notifications even after 5 minutes. I'm not really sure if the sync setting has anything to do with notifications though.

Oct 3, 2010I'm not receiving either the notification on the upper left of the screen, or the ringtone. Notifications and the ringtones are setup properly, as I know. The only time I see that there's an update, is when that application is actually opened. This unit is set to update at the minimum.

It seems like everything makes you choose a primary account and only sends the notifications for that one. Right now I'm using 3 different apps so that I can get the notifications for all 3 accounts.

I only get my email to show up on my inbox on my phone ONLY when i open email. I currently have it set to to check email every 5 minutes but this is obviously not happening. and i dont get a blinking LED when i get a SMS, Text message.

One thing i seem to be having a problem with is the pop up notifications. what i would like is to have the phone wake up and show the email notifications on the lockscreen like the iphone does. I have notifications turned on for both gmail and the email app as well as facebook but the only time this works is with the messages.

General :: Google+ Notifications Not Working Properly
Feb 22, 2014I have a problem with google+ Android app, recently, today I stop from receiving notifications on my phone not even on the status bar and I have the config for example this community to receive notifications. The only way I could recieve them and others I've configured is to enter the app and the other strange thing is that I doesn't even sound while I have configured that too. I've reinstalled and installed the app, wipe cache and dalvik, wipe the app data and config again with no results, it's too rare. y Google App version is 4.2.4.58179886 and i have activated the sync of Google+ on the account. For further information i receive notifications with sound for people who circle me and mention me but not communities or circles i have.
P.S.: For Google+ web notifications are working as they do. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Don't know if it has to be with other Google services like Google Play Services, Google Framework or other.
General :: Facebook Push Notifications Not Working
Mar 3, 2013For awhile, my Facebook push notifications were working just fine until I had updated to Jelly Bean. I tried everything.. to clearing cache, data, uninstalling, and even the BlackBerry trick again (worked once before) and couldn't for the life of me figure out why they weren't working anymore. I thought maybe it was Facebook clashing with JB. I read everywhere and found out some people had no issues and some had some where every push notifications didn't work and some just Facebook.
Well I spend a day or so trying to figure it out and finally found a new, simple fix.
1) Open the Facebook app.
2) Tap on menu button on the top left
3) Account > Account Settings
4) Apps and Websites
5) Clear out Facebook related apps (Like Friendcaster or HTC Sense)
6) Clear data on the Facebook app and launch app
I noticed some off the apps in there have a push notification toggle button and I believe it was messing up the push notification system of there was to many to keep up with.
Once I spent 20 mins clearing those apps out, I cleared data and started the app notifications started working again. I didn't know it worked until someone wrote on my wall and I was shocked to see a notification!

After upgrading to Gmail 4.3 on both of my devices (TF101 running Team EOS 4, and One S running LiquidSmooth 2.1), I had the ability to archive/delete from notifications. However, I noticed that this function was missing yesterday; it's gone back simply to "swipe to dismiss".
I've tried reinstalling, to no avail.

Sep 21, 2010I just got my Samsung Galaxy S delivered and I've installed a few apps and they're working nicely but the ones that dont seem to work for me are the Twitter ones, I can log on to the site just fine on pc and through the mobile browser but the apps arent working, I first tried Twidroid, it doesnt authenticate my login details and says I put them in wrong, the same goes for Twitter's official app, anybody able to help me?

I had the same problem.When i first got my phone I had no problem everything synced into my contacts fine and for some stupid reason i deleted my accounts and when i tried to put them back in it didnt work again. Jun 21, 2010I've tried searching but most results get no real resolution.
Problem: Audible notifications don't go off during a call. So there's no way to know if you have a text/email/whatever unless you set the status LED to go off, which kind of defeats the purpose if you are holding the phone up to your ear.
Is this a problem with the Android platform or HTC's software? For those who are using FroYo, does this problem exist?
HTC Hero :: Notifications Not Working / Fix It?
Dec 8, 2009I have has my hero from TELUS for about a week now and I would have to say that its a great phone if it weren't for some of the bugs the worst of which is the lack of working notifications!
I have tried everything to get the ring warning, the Led at the top and the flashing track ball to work but to mo avail.
They work intermittently at best. Has anyone else has similar issues with notifications? Has anyone hears if this will be fixed in future updates?

I've gone through EVERY possible setting, in the messaging app, in K-9, and the standard phone settings, to ensure that Vibrate Notification is indeed on, and yet it does not work. It doesn't matter if my phone is on Vibrate Mode, Silent Mode, or Normal Mode, no vibration notifications.
I've tried restarting the phone, nothing works.

May 12, 2010On the Facebook app, when you go into your Home, you can select Notifications. I'm assuming this will show you anything new such as friend requests, etc.. It doesn't show anything for me.
