Android :: Any Intent To View User Twitter Feed In Application?

I have a user's twitter handle. Right now I'm opening it through a web page like:
String url = "http://www.twitter.com/" + "example_handle";
Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(url));
startActivity(intent);
If the user has the Twitter android app installed, is there a different intent I can use which gives the user the option to view that user's twitter feed in the Twitter app, instead of forcing them directly to a browser? I'm not sure if the author's of the Twitter app have exposed any such intent.

I want to create a application where user can login with twitter account and whatever activity he does (depending on other cases) should be tweeted. Now since twitter has removed basic authentication how to achieve this ?

I've seen a few other threads on this subject, but none that addresses my need which is to not only find the app in the market via the market uri, but display it as if the user had navigated to it. The closest anyone has gotten to this answer is to show how to bring up the Android Market app and browse for the app you want which shows the single result in a list that the user must still select to get to the screen I want to display.
Here's my existing code that does exactly that:
private static final String MY_MARKET_APP = "com.some.silly.name";
Intent marketLaunch = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW);
marketLaunch.setData(Uri.parse("market://search?q=pname:" + MY_MARKET_APP));
startActivity(marketLaunch);
I don't want to have to force the user to select this single item from the list - just bypass that and bring up the next screen.

this message is mainly for all dev that already done a FaceBook or Twitter client. i would like to know if they can create/manage a capability for their APK to define a possibility with intent (or any other mechanism) to manage/take care of any message to update Profile on Twitter and FaceBook? just in case, because i think it's not useful to create many client, if your application (like mine) just need to send/update a facebook profile to resume: i'm little lazy :-) and i would like to use other APK to update Twitter/faceBook profile/status do you think it's possible? can you after that put a code example in openIntents.org? or do i need to create a ugly client for facebook and twitter only to provide a mechanism to update those information by external APK? let me know if my idea is good enought or not ps: i can be great if mechanism is invisible (no UI or else) but as you want

Is it possible to show a list of applications (with intent.createChooser) that only show me my twitter apps on my phone (so htc peep (htc hero) or twitdroid). I have tried it with intent.settype("application/twitter") but it doesnt find any apps for twitter and only shows my mail apps.

i want to get the feed back of my application when the user try to uninstall my app. I added a Broadcast Receiver to my app, but in Documentation stated that public static final String ACTION_PACKAGE_REMOVED Broadcast Action: An existing application package has been removed from the device. The data contains the name of the package.The package that is being installed does not receive this Intent.according to this my app does not get self removing broadcast.Is there any way to get the feedback from user about my app while uninstalling?

I'd like to show a png or jpg I downloaded from the next in an image viewer intent, but can't get it to work.

I know the bitmap is downloaded ok (use the same routine for supplying it my ImageView instances elsewhere in my app) - I think it wrote to file ok, I can see it on disk and the file size is correct. The intent is launched but an exception is thrown: then the new activity just sits there, blank. How does this work?

Is there an intent that is fired when a user unlocks their screen? I want my app to adjust the brightness when the screen turns on, but the problem im running into is that the screen on intent is fired on the lock screen and it does not adjust the display on that screen.

As in android, after inactvity of screen off timeout, android screen goes off. So here android itself uses some activity observer, to know whether user is currently active or not. I need not every keystroke or touch event with details, just knowing that user is active and getting a broadcastreceiver after some timeout value. Does anybody know something related to activity observing ? In the official Twitter Android app, the opening activity (the dashboard) and the Tweets tab activity have a live background/wallpaper (clouds moving, etc).How do you accomplish that?Is it as simple as setting your view's background to a live wallpaper drawable?And then adding

I am looking for a Twitter client for Android that can ...
1. Handle multiple accounts
2. Display multiple accounts on the widget
I like Seesmic but the widget is just too small for my taste. I can only see the very last tweet. It would be nice to have a widget where either tweets from multiple accounts are combined or there is the option to switch between the accounts quickly directly from the widget. Any suggestions?

Working on android application, wanna add twitter feature to it , like after every commute send the twit to the user account . I'm looking for a twitter application for Android that allows a mute function. I know Ubertwitter has it on Blackberry and Brizzly has it for the iPhone. I cannot find anything for android though. I have friends who I like and do not want to unfollow (nor do I want them to know I unfollowed them), but sometime these people go on rants and I would just like to be able to not have to see them when they decide to do it.

i am developing an application for android and would like for my users to be able to post some information from my application to their twitter feed. i know how to make this work by building a VIEW intent and forwarding the user to the android built-in web browser (thanks to stack overflow!) However, now that there is an official Twitter application, I would like to be able to use the twitter applications activity (if it is installed) to make the post. However, I can not find any developer documentation on what the Twitter Intent for Android is called. Can someone provide a short snippet of sample code that includes that text of the Intent to use?

I'm using Eclipse and have an emulator running Android 2.1 and my IntentService. I'd like to step through my onHandleIntent() overridden function. I've put in a breakpoint on the first statement of the function, which is Context context = getBaseContext();. When the intent is called the program just fails and does not go to debug view in Eclipse.

I want to detect when a user taps anywhere in a view in my Android application. My code looks like this:
