I am receiving the battery and SD card to go along with the HTC Droid Incredible 2 I got today. He said to hook up my phone to the computer (not sure which setting to choose, PC Mode, etc) and then copy the SD card stuff to the computer. Then I'm supposed to transfer that to the new 16gb card I'm getting.

All is fine with the new rom except that my SD card contents aren't visible in the file manager. But if I connect it to the PC it shows up just fine.

Some example background images.
Some example music, with cover images
A pdf file, the instruction manual of the machine.
An executable, the sync program.
A large lot of .txt and .f files. Some of them contain image orientation data. The rest contain code. For example:
hey folks. I started out with a nice nippy class6 8GB card thinking speed was better than space and using Spotify for tunes I'd not have many mp3 locally. View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a samsung galaxy xcover 2 2 weeks ago, and i realized that theres nothing to do to transfer/download straight to sd card. I called to Samsung support in finland and they said that i have to format the sd card and after that you can transfer some very few applicatoins to sd card but however i have not managed to transfer even one application. I have tried app2sd and searched around the internet in order to find some way to transfer apps to sd card. I found from youtube some kind of way, but there was like downloading some program to computer and then connecting the sd card and phone separately to computer and then giving some commands to computer and copy and cut and clicking thousands folders and some more stuff i didnt really understand the whole thing was really complicated. I am starting to be really frustrated for this problem or whatever it is, its just stupid to even put this kind of faulty "function" to any kind of smart phone. In every other way samsung galaxy xcover 2 is very excellent and easy to use, but i think transfering apps to sd is very important function/tool. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not very familiar with Android OS, I recently purchased a NOBIS 9, 1.5GHz Cortex A9 Dual-Core processor, 1GB DDR2 of system memory, and 8GB of internal storage running on Android 4.1. So far I have only downloaded and installed exactly 7 apps from Google Play and all my pictures and videos are in my SD card and I suddenly have no storage room. When I go to settings/storage, I see that there are 2 partitions to the tablet's storage both named INTERNAL STORAGE. Apparently all the apps are being installed in one of the partitions, the one with only 661 MB of space. I was able to go into the APPS setting and move 4 off the apps to the SD card, but the rest of the apps do show the MOVE TO SD CARD option but are not allowing me to press it.
Is there any way to somehow move the apps to the other partition or the SD card? Or is there a setting that I can change to allow all new apps to be installed in the SD card?
I have received a large amount of data (1000 photos) by bluetooth direct to my phone. Is there a way to transfer these to my SD Card? My phone storage is full following the transfer. Phone is Samsung Galaxy SII.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have ported android to our hardware. I am facing some issues related to sdcard. Here is the test scenario and issues:
First issue :
1. On hardware, insert the card and copy a file to sdcard using dd command.
2. Remove the card from hardware.
3. Do ls /sdcard. It shows the file present in sdcard. It seems unmount of sdcard device is not happening.
Second issue:
1. Copy a file to sdcard using dd command.
2. Remove the sdcard and check the content of the sdcard from PC. File is not visible.
3. Copy file to sdcard again and then check the content of sdcard from PC. File size is zero bytes.
4. Restart the hardware and copy the file again. File is visible when checked from PC.
Third issue:
1. The content of copied file are not matching with the original source file.
i flashed a rom on my gt-s6802 now it doesnt show my internal sd card, which is 2gb, mounted. because of this i am unable to transfer old working rom onto my sd card and flash it. external sd card works fine when put in but cant flash from it.
i have also tried to flash some stock rom using odin but it enters boot loop.

I have a class that extends View. I override the onDraw method and allow the user to draw on the screen. I am at the point where I want to save this view as an image. I Can use buildDrawingCache and getDrawingCache to create a bitmap that I can write to the SD card. However, the image is not good quality at a large size, it has jagged edges. Since I have a View and I use Paths I can transform all by drawing to a bigger size. I just don't know how to make the Canvas bigger so when I call getDrawingCache it doesn't crop all the paths I am just transformed. What is happening is I transform all my paths but when I write the Bitmap to file I am only getting the "viewport" of the actual screen size. I want something much bigger.

How do I get the files into any of those folders?
So I just upgrading from a blackberry pearl to the HTC Eris. The Eris came equipped with an 8GB SD card. When i had my blackberry I was using a 2GB SD card. So i took out the 8GB out of the Eris and put in the 2GB to save pics (That kinna stuff.) I didn't take it out and switch for my 8GB. I still have in the 2GB and I want to switch to the 8GB . My Question is, if I switch what will happen to my apps, my contacts, etc. Will i still be able to transfer them to my 8GB?
