Is there a way to check the contents of the SD card in the Incredible without connecting to a computer? All I can find is how big the SD card is and how much room is left on the card. But like I said, I cant find a way to see what files are on it.

I have no idea where to go to get these (probably routine, simple) questions asked. Thanks for answers/links. I just purchased my phone and I'm really excited. And nervous, is that weird? 1. I have a MacBook Pro w/ my music on itunes, although I didn't buy any of it through them. Is there any issue with connecting my new phone to my computer and getting my music stuff on it? Is it easy or do I need to read about how to do it from somewhere? FWIW, easy to me = drag and drop, or have it automatically transfer.
1a. I am hoping to replace my ipod touch with this device. Realistic? Or silly dream?
2. What should I do to the phone when I first get it? Are there things Verizon includes that I should delete (like when you first buy a computer and it's preloaded w/ a ton of crap)? Are there things I need to immediately get?
2b. I assume those things I need to immediately get are apps. Can I browse them now w/out the phone or can I only do it from the phone? What are the "must haves"? Is there a website that lists the most popular/useful apps?
3. Is there a good tutorial for how to get the most out of Android? Or do I just monkey around and see what I like/dislike?
4. Should I root this thing? Not quire sure what that means, but it seems to be what the cool kids do.
4b. Other than paying for the teething thing from VZW, is rooting the only way to get that ability?
I got my DInc replaced, and im putting some media back on my phone. When I mounted my phone im getting 3 drives now. E drvie which is my phone storage F drive which is my memory card and a new super secret D drive, which has weird content in it.a program called TL-Bootstrap.exe?? Any ideas of what the hell this is. Im not running this .exe till I know whats what.
View 3 Replies View RelatedTrying to connect a HTC Hero to my computer, it used to connect ok as i used to use the phone as a modem for my laptop, but now instead of the charger light coming on & charging and the little symbol saying it was connected in the top elft of the screen it ONLY charges the phone but the little symbol doesnt come up in the top left and i cant find the device on my computer, iv tried new cables etc but still no joy, any ideas?
View 18 Replies View Relatedi got an S3.. and my computer has xp pro. i had to restore my computer recently from a saved image of my system. before i restored my computer, i was able to connect my S3 to it via USB with no problem. but after i restored it, i'm unable to.
i downloaded and installed the MTP driver, which got my computer to recognize my phone before i restore it. but now its not working and i dont see it listed in Device Manager. whats weird is that when i connect my S3 to my computer, the phone doesnt give any notifications that the phone is connected to USB like it used to before. and it also doesnt give me the 2 options of connecting by either MTP or Camera. all it does is charge my phone.
tried usb debugging tried it off.. when i plug it in nothing will pop up that will say it is. it will charge.. but thats about it. it wont let me change from pc mode to mass storage.. upgraded drivers.. tried Motorola media link.. tried turning it off with the sd card unmounted.. tried removing the battery.. did a hard restore. i tried on 3 computers in my house. nothing seems to be working out. all i want to do is put a video from my phone to my pc.

It recognizes that I have it plugged in and it charges, but I can't access any of my phone files. I was able to do this 5 hours ago and since I've had this phone, this has never happened before. Before when I plugged my phone in I instantly got a pop up asking if I want to see files, but now I can't even access them without that. No idea where this new problem just came from.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been pulling my hair trying to read forums and find the correct solution to my issue. Whenever I connect to the computer whether its on "charger only", "disk drive", or whatever, it still doesn't allow me to access my SD card.I've tried the following:
1. uninstalling doubletwist
2. connecting, going back from charger only to disk drive.
3. ejecting the removable hardware and switching from charger only to disk drive and still nothing.
If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate this.

So while I am fairly good with computers, I am pretty new to android phones. I have been trying for a few hours now to connect my phone (Galaxy S2 d710) to my computer to use in QPST and similar programs. The only way that I have been able to get it to connect in modem mode (not usb modem tethering, that is) is to turn my phone off and boot to the Odin flash page thing. Problem is, Odin is the only application that can communicate with my phone when it is like this. I have found several guides on how to change the usb settings temporarily to a modem connection, but all of the numbers and codes it tells me to type in either don't work, crash, or go to a blank page.
Just realized that I should probably note that I am rooted and running cyanogenmod.
I just cant seem to get a debugging connection though PC mode on my droid X to connect to the computer. I can in Mass storage, but when I click on Pc mode it turns it off. I am just trying to root right now and I have 2.2 and just lost root.

Some example background images.
Some example music, with cover images
A pdf file, the instruction manual of the machine.
An executable, the sync program.
A large lot of .txt and .f files. Some of them contain image orientation data. The rest contain code. For example:
hey folks. I started out with a nice nippy class6 8GB card thinking speed was better than space and using Spotify for tunes I'd not have many mp3 locally.
