I have some sms messages stored on my sim card. I would like to backup them by copying them to phone memory.Android would only allow me to see these messages (Manage sim card messages) but won't allow me to import them.

I need some serious help locating a sms app to transfer text messages from my phone to email or to my SD card. I mean both text and pictures. I have a weakness for saving text messages and have over 7500 for one person. This causes my phone to force close, freeze and texting now takes over 15 minutes to text people.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wifes ZTE Blade 1 phone broke (graphics chip broke) but have a spare ZTE Skate. Luckily I have a clockworkmod image of the broken phone & have extracted the data from it to get the mmssms.db & telephony.db files.
However, when I paste them over the exsiting files (have root etc) & reboot I get force close errors & have to replace the old files back.
There is no way to boot the old phone & backup the messages - the only way to get the messages back is to get the mmssms.db to work.

I know how to transfer most of my stuff from one to the other (google sync, paid apps should be in the new market, save pics and docs to SD card, etc.), but is there a way to transfer my texts? I've been using Handcent, if that makes a difference.

My internal memory has almost been used up though, and I think this has something to do with my text messages. I was wondering if there is a way to directly save them to my micro SD card, instead of the internal memory? One of my friends, who also had a Hero, had too many text messages and her message app wouldn't open and kept crashing. I don't really want this to happen to my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I need to paste text from another app in my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy SII, O2, Jelly Bean), like from Google Keep or Docs, into a text message it tends to convert from an SMS to MMS. This leads to a charge for me as my SMS messages are included in my tariff but I have no allowance for MMS messages. I presume that this might be something to do with character encoding or other formatting data that is pasted in, but that is only a guess.
Is there any way to stop short messages from being converted to MMS messages like this:? I couldn't find any 'paste clipboard as plain text' option in Android Jelly Bean.
I am receiving the battery and SD card to go along with the HTC Droid Incredible 2 I got today. He said to hook up my phone to the computer (not sure which setting to choose, PC Mode, etc) and then copy the SD card stuff to the computer. Then I'm supposed to transfer that to the new 16gb card I'm getting.

I called to Samsung support in finland and they said that i have to format the sd card and after that you can transfer some very few applicatoins to sd card but however i have not managed to transfer even one application. I have tried app2sd and searched around the internet in order to find some way to transfer apps to sd card. I found from youtube some kind of way, but there was like downloading some program to computer and then connecting the sd card and phone separately to computer and then giving some commands to computer and copy and cut and clicking thousands folders and some more stuff i didnt really understand the whole thing was really complicated. I am starting to be really frustrated for this problem or whatever it is, its just stupid to even put this kind of faulty "function" to any kind of smart phone. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not very familiar with Android OS, I recently purchased a NOBIS 9, 1.5GHz Cortex A9 Dual-Core processor, 1GB DDR2 of system memory, and 8GB of internal storage running on Android 4.1. So far I have only downloaded and installed exactly 7 apps from Google Play and all my pictures and videos are in my SD card and I suddenly have no storage room. When I go to settings/storage, I see that there are 2 partitions to the tablet's storage both named INTERNAL STORAGE. Apparently all the apps are being installed in one of the partitions, the one with only 661 MB of space. I was able to go into the APPS setting and move 4 off the apps to the SD card, but the rest of the apps do show the MOVE TO SD CARD option but are not allowing me to press it.
Is there any way to somehow move the apps to the other partition or the SD card? Or is there a setting that I can change to allow all new apps to be installed in the SD card?
I have received a large amount of data (1000 photos) by bluetooth direct to my phone. Is there a way to transfer these to my SD Card? My phone storage is full following the transfer. Phone is Samsung Galaxy SII.

I'm looking around for a textmessage app that allows me to send/recieve texts (like the default app) but also allows me to backup and store (maybe online) my messages.
For example:If I would buy a new phone, I just needed to redownload the app and restore my texts.
Is something like this available in the Play Store or not?I've looked around but the only things I could find were textmessage apps with some added fuctionality (fancy design and emoji-stuff), so not really the thing I'm looking for.
