View 1 Repliespurchased a Blu Dash 4.0 D270i mobile phone. I decided to rooting the device and delete some apps that I thought but just deleting useless files that should not. Now the device home button no longer works, the screen does not lock anymore, I can make calls but can not receive, always falls on the mailbox, anyway .. I ended up making a big silly and would like to know how to recover my phone was perfect before that everything I did. I reset the device but as deleted files from the System / App, even resetting the device remains the same problems. I searched for some rom that works on the device but not found.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter messing with the 3.5 Dash D170 for a while, I've figured out a few fixes that you can do to get the most out of it. Below are the links with pertinent stuff..Root the device - URL.....

I also ported one custom rom for Dash 3.5 .URL....
Install Calendar Google Sync (in system/app) -URL.....
Install GoogleVoice -URL.....
Replacement Batteries - Authorized dealer is: URL.....
I just got a Blu Dash 3.5, and for some reason Google Play thinks it's incompatible with my phone (same with Calendar, but I can live without that for now.) I tried searching for a Google Voice APK on the forums and was able to side load install it and run it, but it kept running into mysterious connection errors when logging in.
Is there any way I can get Google Voice running on this thing? The phone is running 2.3.5. URL.....
I have a Blu Dash 4.0 rom with damaged and incapable of doing root. Got another mobile Dash 4.0 and would like to back up the phone to use this rom in another that is damaged, how can I do this?
I found that by holding the vol - more power the phone goes into recovery mode where there is the option "apply update from the external extorage". How can I make an update compatible with this phone?
I plan on buying a car in a few months, and I have this grand dream of replacing the radio/nav stuff with a connected Android tablet, probably the Tab 7.0+ on TMo. I'd have Google Maps and all my music with Google's Car Home interface resting right in the dash.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have an old beat up Motorola Droid 1 that I've been using as a dedicated dash cam in my car and it's been working great except the battery life isn't great. I keep it in Airplane Mode and it is always connected to the charger but it only charges when the car is running, so when I'm not driving the phone stays on and after a day it dies. Need increasing the battery life? It's rooted and running a custom ROM (Bugless Beast) v0.5 which is Android 2.2) so I'm able to disable any unnecessary apps or services that aren't being used. I'll never use it as anything except a dash cam so even things like GPS are unnecessary. I don't have any apps installed besides the ones used for the dash cam functions.
I keep the phone in a windshield mount and it stays plugged in and I have an app called AutomateIt that detects power whenever I turn on the ignition and it opens up another app called DailyRoads which is set to automatically start recording once opened. I then have AutomateIt set to detect when the power source is shut off and it closes DailyRoads at that point. It works great and all videos are saved to the phone's microSD card. To save space I disabled audio recording so only video is recorded. Finally, I have a tiny wide-angle lens glued over the phone's regular camera lens so that there's a much wider field of view than normal. The more I capture the better.
Mobile possess the Blu Dash 4.0, as in this manual 512MB of memory, thought it strange when I visualized the tab and applications are given 341MB of memory.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blu Life Play running 4.2.1 and Lockscreen Widgets are enabled and work.
When I installed Dash Clock, I don't see the option for selecting it in the widget list for the lock screen. I only see the stock widgets and a few for other apps installed.
On the home screen, I can get the settings widget, allowing me to change settings and manage extensions. But in the lock screen, the widget is no where to be found.I tried changing the security settings, used every option available for security, none work.
I have the pro version of dynamic notification and I'm trouble getting dash clock weather widget on the dynamic notification screen. I downloaded dashclock, added the weather widget extension, and enabled dashclock in dynamic notification options. But nothing shows up on my dynamic notification screen.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI am very interested in the new clip/holster case combo for the droid but i also use the car mount unit daily. I was wondering if the case will still work with the dash mount or will i have to remove the case every time...
This is a deal breaker for me and im sure lots of people will use the navigation with the dash mount but this will stop lots of sales of the clip/case combo. hopefully seideo or someone will think of this and make a case that will work for both belt clip and dash mount. Looks like the protection film guys will get lots of business from this.
When I enter the mobile number the auto dash ( - ) come automatically after 4 digits

installing gApps as they are blocked on the phone.
I have attempted to root using Unlock Root "its supported?" but unsuccessful.

I've used Tasselhof-RootScript.

Motorola Droid - Original
1. Rooted 2.1, then
2. OTA Stock Update to 2.2, then
3. Seem to have lost root, However - I still have the Superuser Permissions Icon.
I use Barnacle for WiFi Tether - I get a "Permission Denied" error when I try to start the application. I also went into the terminal emulator and tried an "su" which also gave a permission denied response. I tried "sudo" and also got permission denied response. Others have told me this is common with this progression of events. However, How do I now ROOT 2.2 in this scenario?
I just rooted my stock froyo with it! If this has already been discussed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to gain root and having some problems...
I had my droid rooted for some time, running droid mod 1.0. All was well until recently the battery life turned to shit (followed all guides to resolve recent OTA update issues, but still shitty.) Because of this, I decided I would go back to stock, since I couldn't justify the rom's features if the battery would kick out after 16 hours. So I returned to stock no problem and received the OTA to upgrade to 2.1.
After getting the upgrade to 2.1, I wanted to at least have root access to run a few programs. I followed this guide:
http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/63010-how-install-sprecovery-unrooted-2-1-ota.html
to get SPRecovery back on my phone. Everything went well, it all checked out. After that I used SPRecovery to install the root update.zip. This worked fine, the root access app is in my tray and everything seems to be fine... HOWEVER when opening programs that require root access (setcpu and adfree are the ones I've tried) they say I don't have root access. I have tried reinstalling the update.zip file to no luck. USB debugging is ON. Is there a special update.zip to gain root on 2.1 (I saw no posts about that)? Is there some setting I missed this time around that I didn't the first time I rooted?
Running the last command it says file not found and i cant flash the image to get into amans rec...

1)Download it.
2)Save it to your SD Card ROOT (not in any folders)
3)Open up a file manager on your phone (Download ASTRO File Manager from the marketplace..if you don't have a file manager..)
4)Find the 'InstantRoot.apk' file.
5)Run it.
6)It will say it's been successful
Ok, so on step 4, I am opening ASTRO, clicking InstantRoot, clicking Open App Manager (other displayed option is Browse file), clicking Install (then Install again). It then displays 'Application installed'. However, I get a notification stating 'Install Root failed / Root access was not acquired'. What am I doing wrong? More info if required Firmware = 1.5

First off, I want to say thanks to Kam187 & the Creators of asroot Okay, Below is the Method I used for getting Root working for my app's.even though Shell is running as Root, any Call's made to su trigger's the white List Superuser.apk, So don't think your phone is wide open. G1's & MT3G Setup's are the same regard sh.I'm not sure is the apk is counted as warez or not, if so I hope a Mod will remove the link to the Apk or let me know to Remove it Okay, File's Need to complete the Task is.Try3 Placed in C:SDK ols> found here > try3 SU for /system/bin found here > su Superuser app control for our App's found Here > Superuser.apk Next, Mount the SDCARD and place the SU file in the root of the sdcard like so ( /sdcard ). This is Important! From here we do the Following. ( Kam187 script the I edited ).
