Nov 30, 2010
phones gone and broken itself, half the screen is white and its decided to not make calls and send texts, well sometimes works, mostly doesnt. regardless i need to unroot this thing and clear any proof it was rooted before it goes back to rogers. i used z4root to root it, can i do the same to un root and then do the software repair from pc companion to reinstall the software and get back all the things that were on the phone like timescape and such?

First of all i Understand that this would potentially void my Warranty, but what if im Perfectly fine with that?
Is it possible to gain root privileges on Xperia X10 and / or flash modified System Images, lots of developers and Power users would benefit from that.

I've rooted my Xperia X10 to the R2BA023. My problem is that I can no-longer connect to The Market, Internet, or E-mail. I can do everything though if I switch on my WiFi. I've tried rooting backdown to v20 with no luck, and I've tried redoing v23 several times. I am on Rogers/Fido in Ontario Canada.

Im thinking of buying my brother a X10 but i have a few questions to ask first. I currently have a HTC desire so i prefer android phones now.
1. I see that its possible to root the phone but there does not seem to be much ROMS available. Is there any reason for this?
2. The main reason i wanted to root and change ROM was to install A2SD but the X10 has much higher internal memory at 1GB. But can i still install A2SD+?
3. I see that you can officially get the 2.1 update now, but are there any custom 2.2 ROMS available?

I downloaded this program so I can remove unwanted apps like Moxier etc. Its telling me I dont have root privileges?
I am pretty sure I debranded my handest then installed R2BA026. Then I installed a generic UK 2.1 - 2.0.A.0.504 Firware through SEUS.
How do I get root access so i can use Titanium Backup?

I am thinking about rooting my X10i so I can get the great apps that I have seen that are unfortunately limited to rooted phones only.
What is the quickest and easiest way to root my X10i on firmware R2BA026? (please proved any links necessary)
Will everything on my phone be deleted during rooting process?
Will I still be able to get future updates with SEUS or OTA like usual, or will I need to re-root each time.
What are the pros and cons of rooting?
Is there any well known problems when rooting with R2BA026 firmware? If so what are they and can they be resolved easily?
Also, if I cannot install updates via SEUS or OTA, is there anyway to have root access and still be able to do this? What would you recommend I do?
