Motorola Droid X :: Launcher Pro Dock Shortcut
Aug 19, 2010When you long press a blank part of the screen, you get the "Add to Home Screen" options. Does anyone know what this process is called on the X? I am trying to link to it from the custom dock I made for Launcher Pro. Here is the dock background I'm using if anyone wants to use it.

Everytime I go select it, it lets me check smart alarm, and pick the duration I want (5 mins) and then the sound I want (breeze) but it still plays the regular alarm melody everytime- even though I can physically see that smart alarm is checked. Dec 12, 2009I really like the car dock for the Droid, but I find the "Car Home" application to be very annoying.First, there are no options to customize it, and you are stuck with the shortcuts they think I want. Second, you can't even avoid it.I would be okay if you could just hit that home button to go to the regular home screen once everytime you get in the car, but the problem is that every time you end a call and try to go back to the home screen it takes you back to that car-home screen.Has anyone figured out a way to either disable this or select a different app to open when the phone is in the car dock?My ideal situation would be to have the ability to have the QuickDial app open everytime the phone is docked in the car (any have that come up with the home button is pressed while in the car).

I hate getting notifications of every email while I am asleep but I still need to get phone calls and text messages for work. On my Blackberry I could change my preset volume settings by pushing one button. So far on the Droid I have not figured it out yet.

May 1, 2010Three Droids in the family, had for approx 1 month, with no real battery problems other than drain with GPS use. Battery usage extremely predictable. Until yesterday. Day before yesterday, wife's phone reported battery charge of ~30% after being on media dock charger all night. Figured it was a connection glitch of some kind. Happened again today, then while I was looking at the phone, battery went from ~20% to 100%. Now seemed more like a status reading problem. Picked up my phone from its media dock - a different one - and surprise surprise, it too was reading ~30% after being on dock charging all night.
(Yes, we have power and the docks are plugged in.) Powering down phone doesn't reset status, still reads ~30%.

Apr 28, 2012I'm using Apex Launcher with the Tablet ModUI on my E4GT (Sprint GS2) and for some reason I don't have anything related to "dock" in Apex Launcher.
I have dock options, and a dock in ADW and Nova. I prefer Apex just because I can have 8x8 as compared to 7x7 in Nova, and ADW makes the icons too little.
With all this screen space, I can tolerate not having a dock, but I still want one. Where are dock settings? Maybe I turned them off or something.
The weird thing is I don't see anything related to the dock. Lyk "scrollable dock" or "dock pages" or anything. It's as if Apex Launcher doesn't have a dock.
Here are some screen shots of the Apex Settings and home screens. The tiny icons are ADW and the ICS icons are Nova. The screen with no Dock is how Apex looks.
I even uninstalled and re-installed the app.

Aug 3, 2013The other night, something updated on my HTC One (running Venom with GoLauncher EX) and the icons got all jacked-up. Some Google apps reappeared on the dock, a widget got pushed on top of another, etc. It looks like when the Google apps updated, they felt the need to reinstall themselves on the dock -- not sure, but that's not my main question.
When all of this happened, I lost the "grid" looking icon that will show All Apps and I'm not sure how to get it back. At this time, I can only see the apps I've put on my "home" pages, and in order to see All Apps, I must do an "add" and browse that way.
How do I get the all-apps grid thing back?
