How do I access previously viewed downloads?
I know how to do it initially, but if I want to access that file again where is it?
I need specifics as I am new to the smartphone scene.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen using Google Maps Navigation, how do you get it so as you're following the directions the maps is viewed at and angle so you can see further ahead on the map. Also how do you have the screen/map turn as the car turns?
Right now it's just looking down and with no angle/tilt on the arrow and the orientation stays "north up" all the time. It used to do this.
I realized the quality of the photo seems darker after it has been saved & viewed on the phone. My camera settings are default. Is this normal?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't get it. I actually really like the stock camera app that comes with the phone. But if I take a picture or video, I can't view it. It's like it's instantly corrupted. It sucks cause I had some good pictures and video but now they are basically gone. I have downloaded another camera app and I get reliable pictures that aren't corrupted. But I would prefer to use the stock one cause it just seems to react quicker. What apps do you use for taking pictures?

This seems not possible, the playstore won't let you add an app to your wish list after it has already been installed.
Trying to figure out what happened today... I was out riding in the car, and ended up looking up the website for Mini Cooper (miniusa.com). Everything worked just fine on the site, though I was a little intrigued by the presence of some loading animations because I haven't (to my knowledge!) done the required degrees of hacking to get Flash working. I thought that was part of Froyo only, and that 2.1 couldn't play Flash.
Imagine my shock when said website was revealed, when I got home, to be flash-based. What the heck happened here?
My phone is rooted and running a Hydra kernel underneath the stock ROM, confirmed by checking my About Phone just now. I definitely haven't installed any app that I'm aware of that would explicitly enable Flash. So how did I do what I did?

View 7 Replies View RelatedHave had my EVO for a month now and started taking photos with it and emailing them. Photo resolution (Camera/Settings/Resolution) is set set at 1280x768 and Quality (Camera/Settings/Quality) is set to High. All other camera settings are at default values.
The photos I have taken in daylight without flash, when viewed on a couple of different PC laptops (one an HP, the other a Dell) show a marked pink tint in the photos, which is especially noticeable in skin tones. This occurs throughout the photo and not at the fringes. Similar photos taken concurrently by a companion on her iPhone3 show natural colors and skin tones when viewed on the same PC laptops.
Anyone else notice the same? Is this a hardware/software/firmware defect specific to my unit, a general model-wide defect, or a function of camera settings?
why is it that youtube blocks so many videos from being viewed on mobile? does not compute. is this at google's discretion, or carriers?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm writing an application consisting of several activities and, on restarts, I'd like the application to initially display the application's activity that was the last to display in the application's previous session.
I save information about the last activity in SharedPreferences and I'm trying to start that last activity with a call to startActivity(intent) from my Application's onCreate handler.
The problem is that if I don't set the intent's FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK, the result is a run-time exception message in logcat suggesting that I should set the flag. And if I set that intent flag, the correct activity gets started but doesn't fully initialize resulting in null pointer exceptions (which don't occur when I don't attempt to start the activity from my Application class).

Calling startActivity() from outside of an Activity context requires the FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK flag. Is this really what you want?

Is there anyway to go back to a previously launched Activity while running an Instrumentation test? Currently, when I use sendKeyDownUpSync( KeyEvent.KEYCODE_BACK);, this forces my test to exit, rather than go back to the previous Activity.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn my TabActivity the user may be asked to switch to browser activity for OAuth phase, and if the phase takes too much time, my activity will be killed. After the user switches back to my activity, its onCreate() method is invoked again and tabs are recreated.
So I would like to know if there is any simple way to switch back to previous tab, and keep the tab as what it was. For example, one of the tab views contains a ViewSwitcher child, and I want to switch back to the switched view after recreating the activity.
I am using an AsyncTask to fetch the ring tone for a contact when my application starts, it works fine until after my Activity closes a couple of times during the AsyncTask, after this happens the AsyncTask will only ever get to onPreExecute() and never doInBackground, so I can never fetch the ringtone then until either a force stop or device restart.
Why this might be happening? Why the AsyncTask would get to onPreExecute but then never run doInBackground()?

And onAddRingtone() is used in onCreate and onCancelRingTone() is used in onDestroy() as well as where you can see if in the code above. I have spent 3 days on this and I haven't been able to find a solution? Am I taking the wrong approach? Using cancel wrong? Is there a bug?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Galaxy S3, that was completely factory reset with JB 4.1.2.
I downloaded a couple of .jpg files to use as backgrounds, but then decided not to use them - but left them on the device (not in the original download location however)
A couple days ago I received the 4.3 update from AT&T, which seemed to go off without a hitch. But now, the 3 files I downloaded seem to continue to download. - at least I get a notification that the files are downloaded (3 different notifications).
I deleted the files to see if that would stop it - no luck.
I went to Chrome and closed all the tabs (a couple were still open to the location I downloaded them from) - no luck.
When I get the notifications, if I click on it, it says it can't find the file.If I just clear it off, they come back a few hours later.
So this cool bookmark widget...doesn't always work. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but sometimes when I click on one of the bookmarks i've saved (especially after browsing the internet a bit) the phone will open the browser to the last page viewed - not the bookmark I selected.

In my application I am trying to track Downloads happening in my device (from Google play store or from any URL s) . I don't want to start any download my app should track of downloads going on in device. When ever Download starts my application should start listening to it. When user starts downloading my application should track download start time and when download completes I want to get end time and size of data downloaded.
Q1. Is there any way to do the above requirement.
Q2. If multiple downloads happening I want to get record of both downloads separately.
Q3. I need to get from which url Download is happening. Or Is it happening from any app like Google play store.
Where the actual folder location for the Downloads app/button that is in the app drawer is. Well, it shows up in the app drawer but I'm sure it's not an app. I'm running 4.4.2. Nothing I've ever downloaded goes there. It always ends up on the sd card in the download folder.
So what is the app/button good for? And is there a way to redirect downloads to go there? Seems like an easy way to check what you downloaded without using a file manager. If it only worked.
I remember seeing somewhere that one of JB's new features is the ability to only download the parts of an app that changed for an update instead of downloading the entire app again to save data. I'm on a Bionic with the 232 ICS leak and just watched a 45 MB app update download only 13 MB and then successfully complete the update and run. Is this a feature of ICS now too?

Seems like instant upload pulls from the camera folder only.
Screenshots are saved to their own folder, as well as images saved from browser/apps, which would appear to exclude them from instant upload.
Maybe even a way for screenshots to default save into the camera folder? Likewise for downloads?
