General :: Missing Icons On Galaxy S3
Aug 23, 2013I am a new user of android phones, having previously used iPhones. I got this phone from someone, so there were some apps installed. Thinking uninstalling was as simple as deleting the icon on the menu, I did just that, only to realise the apps are still installed (when I went into my installed apps to check the list). I have also encountered some incidents where I have installed an app but the icon does not appear in my menu, or has disappeared somehow. How can I get these icons back? I understand I can uninstall and reinstall but is there an alternative?

I have ADW launcher EX and ROOT access. The problem started to appear after I have gained root access... it seems.
General :: Samsung Galaxy S3 - Notify Icons Disabled
Sep 24, 2012I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and suddenly appeared an icon in the status bar with the character "i" and a prohibited sign (Screenshot attached). Since then it seems I don't get the notifying icons (email, texts, etc...) but if I pull the bar down, i can see the notifications in full format (email with sender, text, etc... as always).
How to re-enable again the notify icons?

Sep 12, 2013i m having a paste/clipboard icon fixed on my left side of the screen. It only appear in Internet Explorer. I cant move it or close it away. It is covering my keypad. I cleared all the clips in the clipboard showing no items.

Jan 4, 2013I wanted to change the size of my icons, so that more of them could fit on the screen. So I download LCD Density Modder and Increased the amount to 160. After I booted my phone, my screen got zoomed in instead of decreasing. Now I cant even type up my password cause the numbers can't fit in the screen. I have no access to my phone because my phone is locked. Btw, I have a Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 (rooted) .

They look like black sheets of paper with the corner folded over and they have ticks in the middle of them. On the far left of them is a box with a '7' in it. Oct 26, 2013I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 on Android 4.2.2. Is there any way of removing ongoing icons which permanently sit on the left side of the status bar? I ask because apps like 'Unlock with WiFi' warns you when disabling its permanent icon that it will hinder the process' activity. I tested it and yes, the app didn't detect the state of my WiFi well. Same goes for BBM's Connected icon.
Is there any way of making their visibility 0% or making the icons 0px, if not 1px, without disabling the icons entirely?

Mainly the email and browser. How do I turn off or at least severly limit the data that goes to and from my phone. I do not have wireless and am just a bit paranoid about going over my data limit. General :: How To Remove Non-working Icons
Feb 16, 2012I somehow ended up with as many as three icons on my tablet screen (a TF-201) for one application.
I uninstalled the application using the app manager and that leaves 2 non-working icons on the screen. If I click either I see a pop-up message telling me the application is not installed. The app manager no longer includes the deleted app.
How can I get rid of the extra icons?

Oct 11, 2011I've had my SGS2 for about 2 weeks now. It's awesome, but I have a problem with the icons, especifically the VIDEO icon, I move it to one place, and after I download an app or move another icon it moves itself to the last page of icons. This happens like twice a day. I also have a folder with 27 icons, did a battery pull and the folder was empty and all the icons where roaming different pages.

My Settings look something like my attachment jimmy.jpg.I would like to have something like dilli.gif attachment.
Is that a launcher, icon pack or do i definitely need a new rom?
