I have a galaxy s and i want to be able to put widgets and icons anywhere instead of just "invisible rows"
i dont know if that makes sense? i cant put anything say in the centre. does anyone know how to do this

What application allows you to have 5 rows of widgets/applications? Is that a feature of the newest revision of LauncherPro or something else?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was so excited when LPP updated a while back and added the option for additional rows and columns....but it didn't resize things the way I wanted. I had hoped it would be tweeked and it seems better now but I'm still having an issue with Beautiful Widgets on the full size Home Weather. It doesn't fit the entire information completely with temp, etc. without pulling it down to fit across about 3 rows...which makes it look huge
Anyone else have this problem? Or should I just accept it and use the smaller Beautiful Home widget? And is there a way to resize the text size under the description of the app? I can remove it and kind of like it without it...but was curious if I'm missing something

I have ADW launcher EX and ROOT access. The problem started to appear after I have gained root access... it seems.
Is there a way to change the APN News widget in the daily briefing ? I want to change it to the BBC News but as this is our first smartphone I am not sure if this is possible or not?

They look like black sheets of paper with the corner folded over and they have ticks in the middle of them. On the far left of them is a box with a '7' in it. Does anyone know what they are as they aren't in the handbook!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and suddenly appeared an icon in the status bar with the character "i" and a prohibited sign (Screenshot attached). Since then it seems I don't get the notifying icons (email, texts, etc...) but if I pull the bar down, i can see the notifications in full format (email with sender, text, etc... as always).
How to re-enable again the notify icons?
How do you move an icon in application menu from one screen to another? I know I can rearrange icons by clicking menu button then edit, but I can't move an icon from one screen to another. The same goes in application menu and in home menu.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S4 on Android 4.2.2. Is there any way of removing ongoing icons which permanently sit on the left side of the status bar? I ask because apps like 'Unlock with WiFi' warns you when disabling its permanent icon that it will hinder the process' activity. I tested it and yes, the app didn't detect the state of my WiFi well. Same goes for BBM's Connected icon.
Is there any way of making their visibility 0% or making the icons 0px, if not 1px, without disabling the icons entirely?
I wanted to change the size of my icons, so that more of them could fit on the screen. So I download LCD Density Modder and Increased the amount to 160. After I booted my phone, my screen got zoomed in instead of decreasing. Now I cant even type up my password cause the numbers can't fit in the screen. I have no access to my phone because my phone is locked. Btw, I have a Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 (rooted) .

2 questions:
1. is there a way to stop this from happening
2. if not, is there an easier way to fix it besides shutting down the phone and restarting it?
Moto droid, not rooted, have aquarium live wallpaper, beutiful widgets large, no launcher or home applications installed.
After seeing some of the great setups in the home screen thread I thought I'd give Beautiful Widgets a go but after setting it up and resetting a few times I still can't get the moon/sun or anything at all to appear in the widget. I've read that it just doesn't work for some towns but does the auto-location not work either? What format do you use for the UK location? Town, county, country ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI loaded a wallpaper into the DCIM folder on the internal memory and after disconnecting from the computer, I changed the home screen wallpaper to this picture. (the one of the predator and alien playing chess).Now all 7 home screens are completely blank. No widgets or icons. Somehow everything on the home screens has been wiped. I removed the picture from the internal memory folder.

I like how the icons are a different color and such. The dialer and internet icons are at the bottom too. Dunno if it is rooted or not. Is this just some basic widget app or something?

I have been wondering if widgets, desktop icons and even the choice of wallpaper, or picture that is used for the desktop background make any real difference in battery life. No matter how I use the phone, the display is always the main or at least major component of battery usage.
I read on an android website that desktop widgets do tax the battery and it was also suggested that having all three desktops full of icons also does so. Lastly, I was thinking that a black desktop ( I took a picture of a piece of black paper ) would use the least battery because the screen is not producing any light. Any input on these things ? If it would give appreciably better battery life, I would black out the desktops as I have done and not have any icons or widgets.
Is there anything i can use to change my icons.. use widgets.. with out using -Ahome.PandaHome.Dx.. etc..and if there is What should i use .. I wanna change icons for sure.. but i dont know how yet wanna get help ..

While rotating applications , this does not happen.

I don't just mean add an icon or widget, i mean change icon appearances with BetterCut, rearrange icons/widgets...add/remove the amount of screens, change background images and lockscreens.....you get the point. so with that being said, how often do you change your eris layout???
