for go launcher ex how do i have more icons showing when i put the apps in a folder?
i only have 8 showing in my folder and i will have to scroll to the next page to see the other apps.
i want to have 12 or more showing on one screen like this..

Is there a way to change the default folder icons? I DON'T want to use an app because I like how the default one works. It's fast and simple.
I'm using Launcher Pro (free) on a rooted g2x (Eaglesblood cm7 rom).
I can successfully customize folder icons on a removable Flash Disk using Desktop.ini file and a separate icon file. But I am unable to do the same thing on folders on the connected phone device that, for all I know, is similar to a removable device. The phone is a Samsung Droid Charge. When I copy the Desktop.ini and the folder containing the icon file from the pc to the memory card, nothing happens. The icons for the folders still have the same default appearance. Don't know how many people care to have custom icons but it is a nice thing to have when you are always trying to identify a few folders from many.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried using Better Cut and Folder Organiser in order to change the icons on my HTC Desire. However, when I try and do this for Messaging, Email or People application, it always reverts back to the standard HTC icon.
How have other people got round this? Or is this just a problem I am experiencing? I am un-rooted.
Is it possible to make a folder in the apps and then put all the system apps icons (better keyboard, android icons pack, font packs, etc.) in it so the are hidden?

I am trying to set up custom icons and was following the instructions on the tips and tricks but on my SDcard i do not see the folder "dcim". any reason why? what do i need to do to see this folder?
I have the Chrome bookmarks widget on my homescreen, and the first spot is taken up by the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder (see screenshot). This is really annoying. When I first started using the widget, this was not the case, after a while it just appeared there.
Anyway to avoid this? Maybe even a way to change the order of the bookmarks?
If not, is there any way to remove the "Mobile bookmarks", "Desktop bookmarks" and "Other bookmarks" folders in Chrome so I could just have my bookmarks in one place?

How would I change those icons with different icons? Mainly the email and browser. How do I turn off or at least severly limit the data that goes to and from my phone. Im on Jellybean 4.1.2 and I would like to know how to view my "external_sd" folder which is in my "sd card" folder? This is NOT the Exteranl SD card folder but rather a folder call "external_sd" which is in my phones sd folder.
I can view the files via Astro File Manager, but the folder isnt even displayed on my Windows 7 computer?
I am a new user of android phones, having previously used iPhones. I got this phone from someone, so there were some apps installed. Thinking uninstalling was as simple as deleting the icon on the menu, I did just that, only to realise the apps are still installed (when I went into my installed apps to check the list). I have also encountered some incidents where I have installed an app but the icon does not appear in my menu, or has disappeared somehow. How can I get these icons back? I understand I can uninstall and reinstall but is there an alternative?

I uninstalled the application using the app manager and that leaves 2 non-working icons on the screen. If I click either I see a pop-up message telling me the application is not installed. The app manager no longer includes the deleted app.
How can I get rid of the extra icons?
