Motorola Droid :: How To Make Status Bar Transparent In Adw Launcher?

I'm currently running the adw launcher and I love it. I love the numerous customization options that it has. I was just wondering if there is a way in the settings to adjust the transparency of the status bar like it has for the app drawer. I currently have the 8.2 version of adw that I downloaded from the devs website and I can't figure out the settings to adjust the transparency of the status bar.

Basically it blends your status bar with your background and looks fantastic in my opinion: Was hoping someone had a metamorph for this or even a tutorial that I could attempt to follow.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but occasionally when I swipe up from my home screen (when notifications are not being displayed) my status bar will disappear, and the only way I can get it back is by going into ADW settings and checking "hide statusbar" and then unchecking it right away. I don't have the hide enabled...it's just disappearing. Seems like a glitch.

How do I get the time to show in the status bar? I'm using UD8 with ADW Launcher. Any ideas? I've searched the forums and can't find an answer. I've also gone through the settings on the phone.

I've heard good stuff about the app, Launcher Pro and thought about trying it out. After downloading it and installing I was able to double tap my home button and Launcher Pro then replaced Blur but I could never find the screen to change any of the options for Launcher Pro.I then read that Home Switcher needed to be installed and was about to download it when the first line of text for Home Switcher in the Market is that it's not supported for Froyo 2.2.Does anyone know of another program that I can use in order to get Launcher Pro to work correctly on my D2 and also be able to view the programs options/settings page?

I know I can use the touch responseive feature of live wallpapers (such as the nexus one) with the 2.1 launcher ported to 2.0.1. However is there any way to make that work with the 2.0.1 launcher? I much pefer that one but still would like to have the full features of live wallpapers.

How do you make light on status bar ( on the bottom of my Droid ) stay on longer ? It stays on for few seconds and if I don't touch it, goes dark.
Is there any settings for that ? It's hard to use phone when it's dark outside.
Another question : Why can't I add my Yahoo account in too "Email" program ?
I tells me that " Mailbox access is not supported for some types of Yahoo!"

Making the touched areas of bitmap image transparent(seems like erasing) while I am moving my finger on that image.
I am having a PNG file with Alpha channel in it. I want to turn the touched pixels to transparent so that, the user can feel that he is actually erasing it.
For this I am using frame layout to load 2 layers. Down layer is for content and upper layer is an Imageview for erasing. I need erase the upper layer when user touch and move his finger on it.
I am not getting how to make it transparent. can anyone please help me in this. If possible please direct me to any sample code, as I am very new to this image processing.

I've one doubt in uot, If I'm applying a mod like status bar mod, do I need to configure every thing or only what I want to change?
For example I just want to make my status bar transparent, so do I need to configure other things like notifications, topbar etc. too along with status bar?
"What I want to know is if uot creates a new mod and replaces it in the uploaded files or does it changes specific things in the files I provided?"

I'm trying to get my status bar transparent following this guide [URL] .....
I'm using wanams apk manager, I make the changes to the statusbar.smali file and the xml files, I compile and it doesn't work on my phone, so I decompiled the modified apk, and the changes to the xml files went through but the smali files go back to the originals.
when compiling I use yes on Is this a system apk, yes to copy additional files, go to keep, delete resources.arsc and finish.
It happens with any smali file when I compile, I use notepad++ to edit the files.
So what I ended up doing since my xml files were saving but my smali files weren't, I didn't realize that when compiling it asks to copy over files and the classes.dex file was overwriting all my changes to the smali files, so I compiled and when it asks to delete files from the keep folder I took the classes.dex from that folder, decompiled it seperatly made the changes to the smali files there. I still deleted my resources.arsc, then I finished making the apk opened the apk and replaced the classes.dex there with my modified one. pushed to my phone and everything works perfectly.

I've got a Samsung Galaxy Ace which I'm running CM7.2.0 RC0 KANG Deodexed on.
I've tried numerous patches for a transparent status bar, but just can't seem to get anything working. I'm far too much of a noob to mod the SystemUI.apk for myself!
I'm just wondering if there are any ROMs available that have one built in?

I have searched up and down the web but can't find a way of making the HTC Sense launcher transparent WITHOUT changing launcher.
I have the HTC One X so if I use a different launcher now (ADW, Go etc) I get my desktop shorterned by the "Menu" on screen button.
How I can stick to the standard launcher but have a transparent dock?

I have a scenario at hand, for which I need a solution as soons as possible. Here is the problem statement: I need to show an image overlapped by some other image, 100%. The condition is that the picture in background should also be visible through the foreground picture but only through some part of the foreground picture. Please try to visualise how it should look like. There is a picture shown and in middle of it, there is a transparent area through which the background image is visible. I knew that I can make an image transparent and make the background image visible but here I want only some part of the foreground image to be transparent so that it looks like sort of picture frame applied to the background puicture. And for those who read the statement carefully would have understood that the ultimate thing desired is to have a picture frame applied to the picture. Can anyone please suggest a good way to do this.

I have an image of a map. I want to draw lines over that image.I have successfully displayed both the line and the image. But , the line is not transparently appearing over the image. The image is only displayed when i run the program. But,if i change the coordinates of the line so that it doesn't overlap with the image,the line is getting displayed.
Pls tell me what i should do to make the line transparent so that both the image and the line are getting displayed.

How would I go about putting a transparent bar along the top of a scrollview so that when the text scrolls up it kind of fades out towards the top? I'm trying to make a GUI program with the Android SDK, using their Lunar Lander example as a significant self-teaching tool in the process. I've noticed their sprites' images' backgrounds, which were at least usually pure white, did not show up in their program. I want to ask how they did that, since their site doesn't explain simple things very well. I've managed to pull that off before on another GUI SDK, wherein all I had to do was to call a function and pass it a few floats to define a certain color, and until my code told it to do otherwise, that function would make sure that that particular color in my sprites' images was totally transparent. However I've wrestled with the Lunar Lander example and getting my own program to show some custom graphics for a week or two now, and I haven't noticed any such function call in the Lunar Lander example. I tried to look for it, but I did not find anything. I've tried to Google some tutorial or other reference material, but what I've found so far is just straying off into unrelated areas and totally dodging this EXTREMELY important lesson on the SDK's basics.

I was looking to make my notification bar transparent so if anyone could help that would be great. Before you start saying how i should learn to search, I already have ( Changing the statusbar color ) and the one post that had the file and instructions i wanted is now missing the file which sucks. I already have a transparent notification window(drag down) but not bar.
