My cute galaxy ace was dead after flashing the wrong firmware by accedent (galaxy 551 firmware) now i'm not able to enter the download mode when i try to boot it on it just turns on the two virtual buttons, any way to flash to flash without entering to download mode or using another program ??

Okay so my question is, can I flash Galaxo 1.6.2 or GAOSP "without" ODIN flashing or updating my firmware to 1.6? and not then what consequences would occur if I don't flash firmware update before GALAXO 1.6.2 flash. My phone firmware version is I7500ZHJA1 and I believe that is the latest firmware for my region which is still Android 1.5.
I've buy ainol novo 10 hero quad a few month ago. Few days ago when I was flashing the firmware But i've instal the wrong firmware from Ainol novo 10 Ethernal. It onn's but the touch screen was "crazy" it was inverted, to push the button on the down left corner of the screen I must touch in the same spot in the upper right corner, to scroll home screen right I must slide my finger left e.t.c.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have new firmware on PC for my Samsung phone, intended for flashing with Odin (i have PHONE, CSC and PIT files). My question here is, is it possible to root this firmware before flashing it. The case is, my phone is now rooted and I don't want to loose root access, but I would like to flash this new firmware, cause with this one i have occasional problems (force close of apps, freezes, loosing wifi connection, etc). I've searched every where but haven't found anything. Only Mobile Odin have such options, but my phone is not supported yet.

After that I installed a custom ROM, but now I want to flash its official firmware.But its official firmware is not installing. It got told using Huawei firmware Indian version downloaded from Huawei. I am using this procedure:
(1)First copy dload (in dload folder update.app file is present) folder to the root of the SDcard
(2)Then turn off your device pick out battery then again insert battery
(3)Then press buttons volumeup+volumedown+powerbutton
(4)Then its start unpacking the update package But in step 2 it failed on installing.
This is the error.log I get in SD Card :

i was trying to unbrick my old cliq by flashing the original firmware and it failed idk why and it wont dectect it any more and the phone has a black screen and only the keys light up any way to save my old cliq??

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy GNex took a baseball to the screen; the screen is shattered and unresponsive, but the phone will power on and I can see the file structure if I connect via USB to my PC. I've retrieved all the files and photos that I want to save from the phone by copying to the PC, but not the text messages. I had a backup for the text messages, but it's gone (different story for another time). So I've been searching for a way to retrieve these text messages that can be executed entirely from the PC side, since I have no way of installing an app on the phone. I'd either like to be able to copy the SMS database to a new phone via PC, or dump it into some sort of manageable text format.
From the searches I've done, it seems like I might be able to do this using some sort of developer's code; (i.e., Install this program, plug in the phone, enter these lines of code, etc.)
The phone is stock (not rooted), and was just recently updated to ICS 4.0.4 (?)
Samsung says they can "fix" the phone for $160+, but that they won't be able to save any of the data since the phone isn't navigable (I assume they'll just send a replacement).
Desperately need a firmware for Galaxy S2, and multiuploads is resolutely dead.

Later it notifies to as SU Binaries outdated and need to update so I click on update and message appears that it is updated successfully and on the second moment my phone got OFF, and not getting ON niether normal booting nor recovery or downloading mode.

I used ODIN 4.3.8 to flash the firm ware. But ODIN was downloading MIBIB for the past few hours.
And then, the screen appear a "Phone connecting to a PC, with a exclamation mark in between."
My phone just get switch off automatically and its not turning on . I did everything like battery out for sometime and put it back again , nothing no any response its completely dead . Battery was fine and it was fully charged as well .

Now I would like to upgrade to the latest firmware. I found out that I needed something called Kies, so I downloaded it and followed the instructions - hooked up the phone after checking debugging, etc, but I got an error that said I don't have authorization or something. I started researching a bit, but got quickly overwhelmed with things I'd never heard of like "Odin".
i previously Flashed a custom OS onto my phone, Cyanogen Mod 11, when i got bored of it i decided to download the Stock touchwiz android for my Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505, i proceeded to download Odin307, once i had the OS and Odin i opened Odin in Administrator, i choose my file which was extracted and i used the PDA option to choose it, all was fine until it encountered this error (<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.)
once that failed i tried to boot the phone where it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode ion Kies and try again" SO basically i can still get into the Download mode and can get to the Firmware upgrade error screen, that is all, is there a way to fix it? ive tried countless times to flash the stock touchwiz but get the same error message on odin!

So I've been tinkering around with Odin and flashing to the many firmwares floating around- the latest is the JFM6 i9000 firmware.. Which also included flashing the CSC and kernel..
My question is, since I flashed the csc and kernel, how do I flash back to the stock JF6 rom that came with the phone? Just the pit and .tar (pda)? I have the firmware and the pit file.. just wondering what is entailed because of flashing the additional csc and kernel files as well.

I always have a problem when I want to flash a rom using cwm, yesterday, I tried to flash Jellaxy AOKP rom on my galaxy ace, but I had an error message saying: "can't flash rom.zip (bad)". Thought that the zip file was corrupted, so I tried to flash another rom: beats with smooth sense 6, the same problem occured. (Tried deleting clockworkmod floder from sd card).
My galaxy Ace is running under CM 7.2 with cwm recovery 5.0.2.6 . baseband:S5830XWKPA. kernel :the one that comes with cm.
I updated my phone earlier today to jelly bean 4.3. Since then, I have stopped receiving network. The EMEI number doesn't show in the device info either. Tried restarting, taking out the sim card and putting it back in. Nothing works. It says this right after restarting, "currently unable to download, try again later". I bought my phone from Qatar and I am currently using it in UK (t-mobile) if that makes any difference, but it was working perfectly fine before.

II would like to flash my Samsung Galaxy 3 (right now Froyo) to use it with Kyrillos' ROM v7.5 under Mac OS Lion.
The only program capable of that I found (in this forum) is the Wineskin'ed version of Odin (v3 1.85). But that does not detect my phone in download mode and also has other buttons than the version Kyrillos speaks of in his manual (there you are asked to "select ops", while the Mac version of Odin only lets you select "PIT"s or chose a .tar-file for one of "BOOTLOADER", "PDA", "PHONE" and so on).
So, three questions:
1. How can I get that version of Odin to recognize my phone?
2. What do I have to select in that version of Odin after solving question 1?
3. Otherwise, are there alternatives to use (except a Windows computer or a virtual machine running Windows)?
