My Galaxy S doesn't recognise my MP3 files, although they are listed and in order in the player. When I click play, a message comes up and say's "This file does not exist". I connected my phone to the PC and clicked on a file and it works okay.

I just bought my new galaxy s yesterday and I installed all the software correctly but everytime I connect my phone and computer up via usb the screen on my galaxy keeps changing between home, idle and the usb screen. The program also never regonises that the phone is plugged in. Not sure if this is a program problem or its something wrong with the phone?

When I first got my Samsung Galaxy S 8GB I downloaded the Kies software and everything seemed to work O.K, I was even able to sync some of my music from my pc. I stored them on the phones internal memory and they worked fine, I haven't yet got around to buying a micro sd-card,besides why do I need to buy a card to increase the memory when the phones memory is practically empty. Now, a few days later when I connected to my pc, the Kies software launched but doesn't recognise the phone like it did before. It is not recognised in the Windows device manager list, I have uninstalled and re-installed Kies 3 times, all to no result. I noticed at the bottom of the download site it said it only supported Windows 7 32 bit, could that be the reason why it does not work properly?, if it is, why did it work O.K in the beginning?. Also when I try to use the music player it just tells me I do not have a sd-card installed, when it worked perfectly well last week.

I install Kies driver in windows 7 (on my laptop) , but my computer cannot recognize my phone. the phone is charged and when the phone plug in to my computer, sometimes the phone shows the message of USB Debugging connected and connected as a media device in top of screen and shows the pic of these but after a second again this message remove. My computer cannot shows my phone like a usb and i can't go to my sd card of my phone via my computer.
in some days later, my computer can recognize my phone but when i install Intellij , my computer can not recognize phone. I unistall kies and again i install this but when the install complete my computer shows a picture like this

I tried to load Cyanogenmod on my galaxy nexus. unfortunately I had copied one of the nightly update files instead of a stable version. so the install did'nt work and I did a factory reset from recovery mode. Now the computer doesn't even recognize my phone any more, when I connect it via USB. and my phone is stuck on the google screen when I try to turn it on.

It seems to be a phone-side problem, because it is only rectified when I reboot the phone, but not the PC. The last time it happened was after an incoming call disrupted my PDANet connection. When I hung up, the USB icon was gone, and I had to reboot.

my moment connects just fine to my pc running xp. same OS on laptop and when i plug in i get a tone, select "mount" on phone. the phone thinks its connected but nothing on laptop (not recognized). device manager says its working properly, could this be affected by admin which i am not? any help is awesome.

When I hook it up it tells me usb device not recognized then inside it says Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) Port_#0006.Hub_#0005. I have tried to install the usb drives I found on this site but it will not allow them to install. I have gone in and deleted My upper and lower system file in the registry.
I have bought a new cable < universal> I did not have the OEM cable and Samsung refused to send me one said it was tmobiles responsibility. I have hooked it up to a Vista 32 bit system and nothing. Also when I hook it too the usb it only shows charging no usb notification on the screen. I seem to remember reading it should have a usb symbol on the upper right corner? I have also already set the system setting to usb mass storage.
SO I flashed my BH2 to Eugenes 1.6 for galaxy rom and now my external sd card...yeah, the 2 GB one that came with the phone, is being recognized as the internal sd card....and there is no setting i can find to fix it. I formatted the sd card and reformatted it, but to no avail...still comes up when inserted into the phone as an internal sd card. b/c of this issue, i cant save pretty much anything to my phone, b/c many apps require an external sd source to save to.

I got to the Volume Down+Camera+End step and plugged in the USB and it said "USB device not recognized." Something like that. I tried for about an hour, restarting PC, toggling USB debugging, and turning off the phone. After that, I got fed up and deleted the update software from my desktop and told my mom to take me to Sprint next weekend.

My Samsung s3 phone says usb device connected not recognized when i connect to any PC even though other phones similar to mine does connect. i have tried many tricks from different sources but it still doesn't work. when i connect it in the custom mode by starting the phone with pressing Home/power and volume buttons it is recognized and says device ready to use but the moment i swict the phone in normal mode it goes back to not recognized.

It gives me an USB device not recognized on my windows 8 computer. I have spent all morning searching and reinstalling drivers and trying my old pc and new cables and i found out that my old windows 7 computer with 4GB of ram and an overloaded hard drive will detect my device the problem there is it not my main computer and i don't want to have to connect all the vga cables boot it up connect mouse and ets to use this computer just to be able to copy files, and do other things from my computer to my phone I don't know why my main computer dell inspiron windows 8 will not work when it was a couple of days ago when i had a problem with connectivity and had to flash back to stock but now it wont connect.
Here's a list of things i've tried
installing kies
installing adb again
aoi tool and then drivers
a bunch of different drivers found on the forums
different usb cable
I followed this tutorial exactly: How to Root - Android Forums
1) i downloaded/installed the drivers
2) i unpackaged the rootkit onto the sdcard
3) i executed start_root.bat
4) the script(s) ran and the phone rebooted.
now, when i connect the phone to the computer (any computer) via usb, it isn't recognized. this is the main problem. i also downloaded rom manager, and it says i do not have root.
when i run start_root from the tutorial now:

I want to connect my Behold 2 to my computer (Windows XP) via USB so that I can transfer mp3's. When I plug the USB I get the message "usb device not recognized". Does anybody know how to get past this?

Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
Is there a good and comprehensive way of getting the Behold 2 recognized by Linux (ubuntu 9.10)? I have the SDK installed and everything works but I don't Know how to get Ubuntu to recognize my phone, when I do ./adb devices it comes up empty.

This has been happening for quite sometime now, earlier thought it might be overwritten while transferring but there on always made sure that the data is copied by browsing phone as a mass storage.
