Currently I can have playback controls on the lock screen of my idevices, as you can see in the screenshot below. Pandora is one example on when I would use this. How can do this same thing on my android device? I currently have a Galaxy Tab 2 7" & I'll be getting the GS3 soon.

This may be a stupid question but I didn't see it in the forum already - I really miss the music controls on the lock screen, which 1.5 and 2.2 had. I'm running KaosFroyo 38 and it doesn't seem to have this - at least not that I can find? Am I missing it in the settings somewhere, or is there an app or widget I can download?

I just want to be able to pause/play/skip from the pattern lock screen.I am okay with binding physical buttons to this task if that's what it takes.

Cause it's ugly (in my opinion).With Bettercut, I'm aware that you can create your own shortcut, but you have to have the source code or some sort of.androidaction.blah in order to create it. View 9 Replies View Related-On my laptop (Win 7), add my Android (Galaxy Nexus 4.0.3) as a playback device. My phone is connected to my bookshelf speaker setup that is in the same room but not near my desk. So when I am playing music on my laptop, let it be Pandora or Google music streams, I would like the sound to be played from the phone that is connected to the speakers.
I have looked at two possible approaches:
1) Remote control the phone and use the Google Music app on the android to play the songs. Essentially control the phone from PC. I did not find a suitable app for that one
2)Use the phone as a playback device on the Win 7.
Every time I flash a new ROM on my phone, whether it was my old Galaxy S2 or my current Galaxy S4, Google Play recognizes that it is the same device as before and installs all the apps I previously installed on the phone.
My android stick computer (Minix Neo X5) does not behave this way. Every time I flash a new ROM, regardless of whether it is an official ROM from the developer (Minix) or a custom ROM with CWM, Google Play does not recognize that it is the same device as before and I have to go through the arduous process of installing all previous apps.
Is there a file or folder that I could backup on my stick computer and restore after flashing that will let Google Play recognize it properly? build.prop?
I'm using the Note2 with the TW-based Digiblur rom and am having trouble when playing HTML5 player videos in the stock web browser. Any time a video plays, instead of timing out like they are supposed to, the navigation softkeys on the device stay lit while the video is playing. If I pause or stop the video, everything goes back to normal and the keys time out like they are supposed to. The problem is not present in any video player application, including the stock YouTube client.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone got a fair bit of water in it and after drying out, it powers up to the HBOOT screen but vol up/down do not work nor does any other button. Curiously enough the phone seems to recognize if I insert the usb plug but my computer says failed to recognize device/load drivers.

I have a Motorola S10 bluetooth headset for listening to music. It's really nice not having to deal with cords and having controls for play/pause and track forward/back right on the headset.
However recently the controls have stopped working when my screen is off. I can't pause my music or advance track. I hear the 'beep' in my headset indicating that a button has been pressed, but my phone isn't getting or ignoring the command.
To make matters more complicated, it isn't a consistent thing. Occasionally the controls will still work with the phone off. This has been happening for a couple of weeks now and I'm having a very hard time finding any regularity to when it will or won't work. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. I also can't seem to trace it to an specific program that I recently installed.
Is there a way to use quick music controls on the passcode screen, or do i need to swipe in my passcode to get to the player/pandora?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am plan B and AVG security installed, both don't always work, I have pattern lock on the phone but even in pattern lock mode when i press and hold power button the phone gives me option to shutdown.
If someone steals my phone they will be able to shut it off without unlocking it since holding down power button still works. So is there a way to lock the power button from shutting off phone when the phone is in pattern unlock mode?
Is it possible to lock widgets so that changes cannot be made to the 4.2.2 lock screen?

I can put a link to a specific playlist and I can put the Google SoundSearch widget on my home screen but not an actual widget that allows me to quicklly pause play skip etc. It shows up on my lockscreen but I see no option for the home screen. Am I missing something?
I know the playback controls are now available in the notification pane but having to swipe down is an extra step. I seem to remember a widget before....
So two days ago while i was in the gym, i dropped a dumbbell and unfortunately it landed right on my Driod Razr M. So the screen has no functionality what so ever, i cant reset it or anything, broken. It was rooted and I loved all my settings on it. I have a pattern unlock for it and such, however, USB debugging is disabled (worst thing ever, second to it breaking) So i want all of my data off my old phone and into my new one. Is there anyway from my laptop that I can get all of my data off it and onto my new Driod Razr M? Any way i can bypass my pattern lock, and get everything back?

View 3 Replies View RelatedA Tasker task that when I'm on the lockscreen, I can tap or double tap to turn the screen off. I've looked in the Tasker tasks and I'm unable to find anything for this. I already use the Nova gesture+ScreenOff app to turn the screen off when I'm unlocked and at the homescreen, which works perfectly. The only thing Nova can't do it turn the screen off from the lockscreen.

The button will be in the center of the screen and I want to be able to press and drag it horizontally to one end of the screen while I am dragging my button I can see my current activity page moving. Then I've changed the Settings to Samsung keyboard and French layout (same latin letters) and switched off the screen. Now my pass is not working as I cannot change layout to English (the settings button on keyboard is grey). So would you recommend any solution as I don't want to wipe all the data. Is it possible to change layout to original English or reset password somehow?

I am coming from Windows Mobile 6.5 and was using PocketShield as my lock screen replacement. One thing that I am looking for in an android app is..
1. The ability to enter pin or pattern from the lock screen app while also displaying all the new features of the app. One screen to rule them all.
2. I now use WidgetLocker and it works great except that I have to enter the pattern after sliding my app. What is the point? Either I enter the pattern before I select the app from the home screen or after when sliding. I thought I was able to use the app on the slicker "outside" of pattern security.
The boy was set to release by drawing on the screen. Now after he has made a number of attempts is displayed when the message "Too many attempts to enter the sequence" and requires the google account. The problem is that you do not remember your credentials, or because you do not connect to the wifi network is not able to validate credentials.To get around this I did the following tests:
1) attempt to enter the recovery mode by pressing volume + and power
2) attempt via adb with the command "adb reboot recovery"
But every time you restart it is as if there is no recovery mode and starts normally and returns the usual screen that asks for credentials.
I also run this procedure:
> Adb-d shell
# Sqlite3 data / data / com.android.providers.settings / databases / settings.db
sqlite> update system set value = 0 where name = 'lock_pattern_autolock';
sqlite>. exit
# exit
but when I reboot I get the same error message with the introduction of the credentials.
