This may be a stupid question but I didn't see it in the forum already - I really miss the music controls on the lock screen, which 1.5 and 2.2 had. I'm running KaosFroyo 38 and it doesn't seem to have this - at least not that I can find? Am I missing it in the settings somewhere, or is there an app or widget I can download?

I haven't found a solid answer for this yet.What I want is simple: music controls on the pattern lock screen.I don't want Widgetlocker or another lock screen replacement, which have given me problems and don't seem to be reliable. I just want to be able to pause/play/skip from the pattern lock screen.I am okay with binding physical buttons to this task if that's what it takes.

Cause it's ugly (in my opinion).With Bettercut, I'm aware that you can create your own shortcut, but you have to have the source code or some sort of.androidaction.blah in order to create it. I'm just curious if I could use that or if there's something out there that's better.I don't need to know the artist or the song that's playing, I just, well, I miss the days of double clicking my home button and hitting next or stop with my iPhone. That's what it boils down to. So, if there's a way to get the music controls on the lock screen... well, that would even be better.Anyone have some suggestions? View 11 Replies View RelatedI tried running the ported HTC music app from xda yesterday on my BB v4 and got FC's. I'd love to have this on my phone since it plays genre's. Anybody have any success with this or have an updated version ready for froyo? Also, is there a way to get the CyanogenMod volume up/down music controls when the screen is off onto BB v4? It's really the only thing that I miss. I don't know the "rules" of ROM's sharing, etc. certain scripts or whatever.

Currently I can have playback controls on the lock screen of my idevices, as you can see in the screenshot below. Pandora is one example on when I would use this. How can do this same thing on my android device? I currently have a Galaxy Tab 2 7" & I'll be getting the GS3 soon.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola S10 bluetooth headset for listening to music. It's really nice not having to deal with cords and having controls for play/pause and track forward/back right on the headset.
However recently the controls have stopped working when my screen is off. I can't pause my music or advance track. I hear the 'beep' in my headset indicating that a button has been pressed, but my phone isn't getting or ignoring the command.
To make matters more complicated, it isn't a consistent thing. Occasionally the controls will still work with the phone off. This has been happening for a couple of weeks now and I'm having a very hard time finding any regularity to when it will or won't work. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. I also can't seem to trace it to an specific program that I recently installed.
Is there anyway to disable the initial swipe lock screen and replace with the pattern lock? Seems silly to have a double lock.....the pattern seems much better to me.

I have not installed anything and I'm not sure why it locks now. I went into the Menu>Settings>Location&Security and can no longer disable the lock screen. What has changed?

I run an application called "lockpicker" which allows me to bypass the Exchange Lock screen, which made me put in a password every time I would turn my phone off, or every time I would shut off the screen (which was VERY annoying). I have had no problems with my work email, connecting to it, or with the exchange lock screen since installing lockpicker. In fact, its like the lock screen doesnt even exist, which I love. I hear that lockpicker is NOT compatible with Froyo 2.2, which makes me extremely nervous about upgrading, because if I have to put in a code every time my phone goes to sleep, I will like the phone a lot less.
2. Google Listen - I use this program to listen to 5-6 podcasts that I subscribe to and I find that while it does have some bugs, its simple and the easiest way I have found to organize my podcasts and listen to them. I hear that this doesnt work anymore with 2.2 either (although I could be wrong).........
This might be how it is suppose to work, but the only time that I get a lock screen anymore is when I first boot the phone up or set the PIN or Password locks. I carry my phone in pocket when at work (especially from meeting to meeting) and the volume rocker or camera button sometimes wake the phone up and open up apps. Other than this, my phone is running amazing!! No other issues.Does anyone know how to get the default lock back? Running NexFro 1.0.1 with P3 1200 LV Kernel

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt takes about 30 minutes for me to drive to school and I use my Epic for music. Iv been using Mixzing's lock screen widget, but the trial is expired. I find it kinda dangerous to try to unlock the phone, open the application, and go through the options. I wanted to see if any know knows a good application with a lock screen widget that isnt so expensive. Mixzing pro is $7.99. seems ridiculous to me. Any ideas?

Steps to reproduce: 1) Launch Camera application. 2) Click on End Call key(it acts as lock screen when there is no active call) or wait till device is locked. 3) Camera application is paused and surfaceDestroyed callback is not being called. 4) Camera process has died and restarted again. View 1 Replies View RelatedThis morning my alarm started unexpectedly at 6am. The lock screen turned into the snooze/stop screen. Dragging down didn't stop it it.. It came on every ten minutes for the next hour. My alarms were set to 9:45am and 8:30pm as usual. Even turning the phone off and on didn't stop the beeping. It was my 9:45am ringtone even. (The two are set differently)

For some reason, over night, my lock wallpaper has changed from the picture I had to the music control selector.
I have tried to change this back but it will not allow me to. Has anyone got any ideas?
Looked around a bit and I can't seem to find any other posts about it but sometimes when i go to unlock my phone its at the default lock screen instead of my lock 2.0 screen. Anyone else have issues with that? If so how do i fix it?

View 18 Replies View RelatedOne thing I do like about the iphone/ipod touch is that you set the home button to double tap and have that bring up the music controls. really basic, just brings up pause/play, forward, and back...and volume. I really miss that since I'm trying to use my Droid as my main music player now, but I hate that I have to click a widget or go to notifications to change the music. Especially when I'm driving, its would be so much easier if the controls popped up above the lock screen so i don't have to unlock every time. Any thoughts?

Since I have root access, is there a way to change this? I appreciate the work that went into the ROM and prefer to show my support by making a donation, not by advertising to myself.
