Any code for a Android screen lock ?
Say something similar to the Go Locker or MiLocker ?
I want to create one, but cant find any example of one.
Currently the other lockers are good, but there quite bulky so wanted some thing a bit slim line.

I am plan B and AVG security installed, both don't always work, I have pattern lock on the phone but even in pattern lock mode when i press and hold power button the phone gives me option to shutdown.
If someone steals my phone they will be able to shut it off without unlocking it since holding down power button still works. So is there a way to lock the power button from shutting off phone when the phone is in pattern unlock mode?
Is it possible to lock widgets so that changes cannot be made to the 4.2.2 lock screen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA Tasker task that when I'm on the lockscreen, I can tap or double tap to turn the screen off. I've looked in the Tasker tasks and I'm unable to find anything for this. I already use the Nova gesture+ScreenOff app to turn the screen off when I'm unlocked and at the homescreen, which works perfectly. The only thing Nova can't do it turn the screen off from the lockscreen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got the screenlock password on my Galaxy Note. It's in English layout (it was originally entered in Swipe keyboard). Then I've changed the Settings to Samsung keyboard and French layout (same latin letters) and switched off the screen. Now my pass is not working as I cannot change layout to English (the settings button on keyboard is grey). So would you recommend any solution as I don't want to wipe all the data. Is it possible to change layout to original English or reset password somehow?

I am coming from Windows Mobile 6.5 and was using PocketShield as my lock screen replacement. One thing that I am looking for in an android app is..
1. The ability to enter pin or pattern from the lock screen app while also displaying all the new features of the app. One screen to rule them all.
2. I now use WidgetLocker and it works great except that I have to enter the pattern after sliding my app. What is the point? Either I enter the pattern before I select the app from the home screen or after when sliding. I thought I was able to use the app on the slicker "outside" of pattern security.
The boy was set to release by drawing on the screen. Now after he has made a number of attempts is displayed when the message "Too many attempts to enter the sequence" and requires the google account. The problem is that you do not remember your credentials, or because you do not connect to the wifi network is not able to validate credentials.To get around this I did the following tests:
1) attempt to enter the recovery mode by pressing volume + and power
2) attempt via adb with the command "adb reboot recovery"
But every time you restart it is as if there is no recovery mode and starts normally and returns the usual screen that asks for credentials.
I also run this procedure:
> Adb-d shell
# Sqlite3 data / data / com.android.providers.settings / databases / settings.db
sqlite> update system set value = 0 where name = 'lock_pattern_autolock';
sqlite>. exit
# exit
but when I reboot I get the same error message with the introduction of the credentials.
So I bought this TV the other day and along with it came this non-branded Samsung Galaxy Y rip off. I decided to make a quick buck off it by selling it online, but the problem is, It comes with pattern lock screen and a combination that I know nothing of. I tried putting my SIM into and calling, but the furthest I got was the contacts and messages tab. How else can I reset the phone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a 10.2" Flytouch 8 tablet with Android 4.0.4. In the Security menu I don't see any screen lock line to lock the screen; so I cannot lock the screen.
According to the online guides I consulted on the web it should be there. How I can access the screen lock menu?
I just encrypted my LG G2 and chose I believe a 17 character random password which includes punctuation. It's hard enough to remember and I only wish to enter it when I power on the phone. However it seems I have to enter it every time the phone locks itself. I don't want that, it's a heck of inconvenience. I just want swipe to unlock, not no pin or no pattern and only want to enter the big as password when the phone turns on. I am rooted and on the latest AT&T firmware.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor about a year I was using an HTC Desire with Android 2.2.1 Froyo. Here I was using a default pattern lock screen }by default I mean native, not any app from Market). On this screen there was the background I had set for my home/lock page and also there were some other information (time, date, battery status when charging, etc.).
Yesterday I've (finally) bought an HTC Sensation XE (in USA known as Rezound) which has Android 2.3.4. Here on pattern lock screen there is no background, only a black color and also no other info as I was used to with Android 2.2.1.
Do You know if there is some setting or workaround to just have a normal background image I have set for my home/lock screen or is this option totally gone here and the black is only I can get?
Currently I can have playback controls on the lock screen of my idevices, as you can see in the screenshot below. Pandora is one example on when I would use this. How can do this same thing on my android device? I currently have a Galaxy Tab 2 7" & I'll be getting the GS3 soon.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a samsung vibrant. Every time i plug it in its charger, the lock screen will not lock amd if m doing something, the sensitivity of the screen will be thrown of. It doesn't do that if i plug,it,in a computer usb, it doesn't,do that and charges normally. Is that a wide spread issue.

View 45 Replies View RelatedWhat i'm trying to achieve probably requires an app, and I realise there are a couple of different ways I could go about it. I'm going to deploy 30 android tablets to a classroom in the College where I work, and since I love android, i'd rather not see this little experiment fail. Through a combination of "App Lock" and a widely distributed MDM, I have been able to accomplish most of my requirements, however i'd still like to be able to lock down the home screen, in particular, remove the ability for users to change the wallpaper (I have a nightmare that this feature would be abused from day one!).
I have looked at using different launchers (tried Apex and Smart Launcher) which nicely lock down the home screen, but they still allow users to change the launcher preferences which makes that approach a bit pointless.
my lock screen has a line of gibberish on it. At the top is the date/time an volume control, then a line across the screen as normal. Below the line to the left is like a status area, it normaly says nothing, or says Charging %% (if plugged in) or connect charger (if low battery). but for some reason this week if it is not low battery or charging, it has a line of jibberish that goes almost the whole way across the scree. is ~~~~~~+~~~~~aaqa~~a~~+~ What does this mean & how do I get it off my screen. It doesn't seem to effect the phone functioning. & as soon as I unlock the screen it goes away. So more of an annoyance then anything, but I want my phone to be working perfectly.

I have a Motorola Razr Maxx that is running the latest OS, and is rooted. I recently broke my screen and cannot get past the lock screen so I can start my VNC server (to continue using my phone without the screen). I have searched through what seems to be all posts on bypassing pattern lock and I have not been able to succeed yet due to permission denial for super user in ADB, not having sqlite3 on my phone, and not being able to flash anything onto it in recovery mode.
how to bypass the lock screen without any use of the touchscreen? I have debugging mode on, and I have a access to view what is on the screen via hdmi cable or remote viewer.
I am having a problem with my galaxy s2 which I just updated the firmware to ICS 4.0.3 via Kies but now whenever I lock the screen and then press the home or lock button again the lock screen does not show, I see the home screen or whatever screen I was viewing before pressing the lock button (in settings I configured pattern, PIN and password, but the same happens in all scenarios). I have been trying to create a profile where if im connected to my home wifi, the lock pattern on my lockscreen will be off. if im not connected to my home wifi network, I want the lock pattern to be back on. I followed Armandas guide on YouTube but it did not work for me. BTW im on a Galaxy s2, using a 4.2.2 ROM with the DashClock widget as my default lock screen.
