I have the Droid DNA and I want to sort my pics into folders. I tried the "move to" option and created a new folder. The new folder is nowhere to be found and now the pic iI wad trying to move is gone too.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI usually view email with attachments from my pc because I usually lack the time to download the attachment. Today, I had some spare time so I tried to download an attachment. It downloaded fine but when I went to view it, I received a pop-up box to save it to the sd card. After pressing ok, I was told the save was successful but now I can't find it. Aside from pics and videos, how do I access other folders with saved data?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm fairly new to the Smart Phone. When I go into my picture gallery, is there a way to sort pics? By this I mean make a folder for say, car pics, another for friend pics...etc.. and put the pics into the specific folders, without having to hook it up to my computer with the USB? I find it pretty annoying that my pics are all just scattered throughout one area. I'd prefer to have them organized. Any settings or apps I can get to accomplish this.

After a bit of fiddling I was able to sync my Outlook email, calendar and contacts. It looks great and I'm quite pleased except for one thing. The listing of my contacts is by first name then last. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any way to have the Droid reorder the contacts list by last name first. I've spoken with other Droid owners and they have no problem with first name then last, but for me it's a real time waster having to "find" a particular individual, as for many of them I don't know their first names, just last. Is there a way that I am unaware of to sort the contacts by last name first? Our IT guy discovered a work around, but it entails going through each of my contacts and changing the way the names are displayed in the "Full Name" category. For over 200 contacts this will take some time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a motorola droid and they transferred all my pictures from the old phone. I went back through the pics, named them and put them into albums. So far so good, simple. But I put some in the wrong albums and when I go to delete a pic from one album it deletes the pic from EVERY album and from the gallery entirely. Are they gone or can I retrieve them from somewhere and start over? How to just delete pics from only one album? or how to move them to a to a different album would work too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll I want to do is get the pictures that are on my phone in my "My Gallery => My Library" folder onto my PC.It should be so simple, yet nothing I do works.My camera is set to Storage Location: SD Card...I plug in my USB cable and my phone pops up with 4 options:
1) PC Mode
2) Windows Media Sync
3) USB Mass Storage
4) Charge Only
I obviously tried USB Mass Storage first.When I open "My Computer" on the PC i have 3 choices:
-Removable Disk (M)
-MOT (L)
-MotoCast (I wont use this, its horribly designed and a huge pain to use)
None of those choices will show me my entire Library. No matter what i do, I only get the pictures that I had previously copied from my old phone onto this one.Then i tried PC Mode. This time i get a pop-up with a bunch of options tht look useless.I open My Computer and get the smae thing as before.
Why in the world did Motorola make this so ridiculously complicated? When i plug in the USB cable I should get a simple pop-up with one of the options asking me if i want to see my SD card.
I have a Droid Incredible 2 and I would like to move pictures that I take with the camera to different folders on the SD card. Is there a way to do that?

I do not see a way to sort my inbox by "From" to group those emails together. I got spoiled on my BB Storm being able to touch and hold the sender and it would sort all emails. Is there a way to do this on the Droid?
Also, when I go into my "Sent" folder, all emails are shown by the person that the emails are from, which is ME, impossible to see who I sent the email to and have to look at the subject and open the email to have any idea about the content. There's got to be a way to change this to view by who the email was sent to, which is usually what you're looking for anyway.

It's much easier when you want to move multiple apps or when you have a large number of apps. It doesn't look like Vies has this feature.

Some folders not showing on pc.
some days ago when i connected my fone to pc most of the sd card folder are shown as shortcuts and when i double click on then windows shows a script error dialog box and the folder opens in a new window....
I can find the folders ok with file managers when i use them on my fone and also found that all those folders have a '.lnk' folder with the same folder name. so i deleted those .lnk files from m sd card using es file manager hoping that it'll fix the problm bt it got worse..
now i can't fin d those folders when connecting to pc.. not even as shortcuts...
I currently have music stored both on my Android phone and on my PC, both are in their own "Music" folders. Previously to sync them I would use Microsoft's SyncToy which allowed me to point it at my Music folder on the PC and the microSD card on the Android device and it would easily and simply sync the two folders.
However now I have a device that only supports MTP which SyncToy does not, I've tried different syncing applications but they too seem to have some issues with the MTP protocol. I'm wondering what's the best way to sync music between my PC and Android phone preferably using USB as my collection is slightly large.
So I have a folder on my home screen, in which I've saved a bunch of navigation shortcuts to use with Google Navigation. I want to know if there is any way to backup this folder to my SD card so that I may restore it after switching over to a new ROM.

With the card, all photos automatically go to the card and easily into my PC. However the first 2 pics aren't recognized and I thought I might use the USB. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have set this phone up with my works exchange server without hassle but Ive found that the list that appears when I try to move an email sorts by name rather than by the structure as per exchange.
Ie if I have a couple of root folders and all contain a folder such as staffing - when I go to move an email to a folder on my nexus s its sorted by name so I have 3 staffing folders in a row and no way to identify which belongs to which.
I have some zip archives people sent me that I cannot unzip on my phone or on my PC! I believe when these files were compressed, the source files to be extracted were multiple folder levels deep. I cannot extract them on my phone with any app I have tried, and when I try to use Unrar or 7-Zip on my PC, it says the files are corrupt.
Is there an Android app that can drill down to the lowest folder level to extract files?
