Can the report be modified, or is there an app, that can tell me when the message was sent, when it was delivered, and most importantly to me, when it was opened/accessed or read.

I'm curious on this one. On my old Voyager I was able to get delivery reports with a check mark in my sent items folder, so I knew if my tm went through. Today I was told that someone was not getting my texts, which was a problem on there end, since I was able to send and receive to others without issue. So I was curious, and found a setting in the stock messaging app to enable delivery reports. It works, however it just displays a little envelope with a green exclamation point in it.
This is cool and all, however I get that same icon for both successful deliveries and to ones that show up as "Pending" when I view the report. So I was wondering if this is normal for Android phones, or if there is an app I can use to get a better icon/report for delivered texts.
Today i update to new software ....on the old software i had turned OFF text delivery reports using the followingmethod as described in user guide
1.home scrween drag upwards
2.find tap settings > sony erricson > messaging
3.tap delivery report to turn on / off delivery report
With new software the is no messaging pick under sony erricson How do i know the feature is oFF ? ..i don't need it and it costs money !! ALSO why isn't there a new user guide for the new sortware ?
Can Android be infected by a simple text message?
I'm not necessarily referring to the content of the message. I'm referring to the actual raw text message itself, being sent from someone like a relative (assuming they have an infected device)?
How does the message travel? Does it visit the carrier first, then travel to the recipient in a different format? Is the message being sent as a file or plain text? Could any of the above apply to multimedia/picture messages or phone calls?
I'm assuming if any of this were true, there would have to be an executable involved to perform anything, and I'm not sure if any of that is possible with a text.
I have connections in all different time zones, and I used to schedule my texts to go out during their daytime hours. Now with 4.3, I do not seem to have that option.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I just got a new phone last weekend, and I'm quite unfamiliar with Android 4 (4.1.2 is my version), having upgraded from a 3 year old Android 2. I'm currently texting a friend and have noticed that when I receive a notification for a new text, although the text symbol appears at the top of the phone, no vibration is made (I currently have my phone on vibrate/silent). It vibrates perfectly well when other notifications are received.
How do I change these notification settings/SMS settings?
Is it possible to transfer or send a text message to email? or can it be saved and added as an attachment. I received what I think is a scam phishing message and would like to email it to the fraud alert website.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I decided to join the 21st Century so our grandchildren can text to us and we purchased two Samsung Galazy S4 on Verizon network These are our first smart phones. Neither phone is able to send or receive text messages. The phones spin for awhile and then finally displays a failure message. I read one suggestion to turn off WiFi but that didn't work. No other problems have been found so far.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAs a CM7 user, I thought that this is not possible in Android, but for a day, I have been using MIUI rom and it had an excellent SMS feature where you could see the real time when the text message was actually received by the person you sent it to.
There is something like that in Go SMS, but the 'received' time given by this program is fake. Once the delivery report is confirmed, the 'received' time is set to the same as 'sent' time. In MIUI it was the real 'received' time that was recorded for later view.
Also, MIUI firmware seemed to be able to read this value for SMS messages sent before installation of this firmware, which would suggest this value is stored in any firmware.
So, the question is - how can I get the REAL 'received' time on a non-MIUI rom?
Additionally, is is possible to set a sound for notification your SMS has been received by the addressee? Again, this function is present in MIUI.

Many user are facing a serious issue with Facebook Messenger: it automatically activate the Delivery Report in SMS when using it as the main SMS app. So, what's the matter? Well, the problem is that in some country (as here in Italy) the delivery reports are billed 0,20 € each!! Many users spent near 10€ to realize where the problem is.
So my questions is : is there a way to "mod" the facebook messenger app to disable this terrible delivery reports "functionality"?
I know if you long press the message in question you can press (view report) (not view detail) which can indicate MESSAGE PENDING. But the Icon has an green EXCLAMATION MARK in the envelope icon just as all the delivered messages do. I'm guess the Incredible Text message only indicates and verifies the message was sent by your (Incredible) phone, whether it was delivered has to be verified by long pressing the message itself and read the option VIEW REPORT. Does anyone know of a way to overcome this SMALL but very important dilemma.

On the Motorola Droid what does the little icon mean next to a text that has a little red clock on it? I can't find it anywhere. Also, is there a way to see if someone received a text message? on my other verizon phones I could. It showed a little check mark.

Today somebody sent me their number in a Facebook message and the only option I had in the "complete action using" popup when clicking on the number was to call it or Skype it.

First is the video playback. I've went to a few websites like bleacher report and aljazeera news to name a couple (mobile version for both) and most of the videos cannot play. The do have the play button in them and when I press it, nothing happens. I downloaded the team stream app and the videos still don't play. They play fine on my iPhone though which I don't understand.
Also another problem I'm having is when ur on a website and there's text within a box. How to u scroll within that text. When I try, the whole page scrolls. In the iPhone, u use 2 fingers to scroll the text. I tried that but it didn't work.
I'm looking for a tutorial to Root and then revert back to JellyBean from KitKat on a Nexus 7 2013 2nd Gen, non carrier, WiFi only, or Whatever is required to switch back to JB from KK..
