I want to put the DVD movies I own onto my Samsung phone and I Google and many people said Handbrake is very good. So I tried but the result is not satisfactory. I don't know what the problem is, but every time i scan the DVD, handbrake just quit with no reason.

I have "The Hangover" sitting on my computer. I converted it to .MP4 using handbrake, and it plays back just fine on my computer. However, when I put it on my phone, I hear the audio, and the player is playing (it shows the correct movie length and lets me jump from part to part of the video) but all I see is a BLACK SCREEN! Does anyone know what might cause this? I used the "Regular - Normal"" preset on the right side in Handbrake (my first time using it). Size is 672x272, Anamorphic is "Strict", Cropping is "Automatic", video filters are all OFF, Video Codec is H.264(x264), Framerate is same as source, and I chose constant quality 60.78% RF:20.Anyone have any idea what's going on? I just ordered an HDMI cable online so I really want to get this working.

I just received my phone today, so I'm still a noob when it comes to all of this, so please forgive my ignorance.I just downloaded my digital copies of UP and WALL-E onto my Mac with the intention of putting them on my Evo to watch. I can watch them fine through itunes in .m4v format. Through research, I have found that m4v's are basically the same as mp4's and that the Evo should be able to playback m4v files.However, when I transfer to my SD card (I made a "Videos" folder in my SD card) the video shows up in the native Video player, but I get an error saying it's unable to play. Additionally, I have tried downloading Real Player and mVideoPlayer and those too can see the file, but can not play it back.So I decided to try to convert the m4v files to mp4 via Handbrake. Problem is, Handbrake crashes every single time I try to convert a video. I followed this step by step tutorial, but to no avail.

Works fine but the file size is like 1.5GB, does anyone know if there is a way to make the file smaller? I'm not hugely concerned that the quality is the best, but hopefully not too pixally, I just want something to watch while I'm at the gym.

It worked for a little while then started to do weird things, like having the display upside down, different colours in the screen display and not being able to turn on etc. I fiddled around and probably stuffed things up.
I have tried the three button set up system and have have used Kies to update drivers etc.
Now I have a black screen but I hear the start up sounds and the buttons on the bottom light up. No matter what method I try I cannot get the samsung symbol and start up display. I cannot flash because I cannot get any display.
I have purchased a usb jig and am awaiting delivery.Are there other operating systems that I can install. If so, what and how would I go about it.
Seems I used up all my memory in the Galaxy s4 to the point where I can't receive e-mails and I can't even open up pictures. I have a lot of videos and pictures.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was holding my phone and wanted to wash my hands, so I placed my Samsung S2 next to the sink (I was pretty dumb, I should've put it inside my pocket instead. ) , and while washing my hands, the water jumped and hit my phone and my phone was about to die (1% Battery) and it died at the same time.
But my phone went to Factory Mode, you know that things like, "Factory Mode" and stuff "Don't turn off", so I didn't turn it off and waited, after that, the phone died. I tried turning it on and didn't work and so I thought, "Why am I testing it when it died?", so I tried to charge it, the phone went to the "Samsung Galaxy" thingy like the very first thing to see when you just turned it on, but then after a while, it died again, then it does it again, just repeating. I tried using a USB cable and it did the same.
I am an outdoors person who really depends on GPS tracking. The only app I have tried is Google's "My Tracks". Although it has potential and some cool features like working with Google Earth. The app itself has been very unreliable. Tracking way off coarse, back tracking traces that never happened. Stats that are insane...
I really hope it is the app and not a inadequate GPS system built into the Galaxy s3.I know there are many other GPS trail apps available.
I have tried using an app called "Gpsfix". I did not notice any change.

SOD is that the phone goes into deep sleep or u can say it shuts down automatically when your screen is off for about 10 minutes...sometimes you must remount your battery only it will start up...you have to reboot 4 or 5 times a day!!!
I flashed my friend's stock rom from 2.3.4 xxkpn - 2.3.4 xxkph and rooted, deodexed, and have CodeRom v2x-2b flashed.
Everything goes nice and smooth...but the next day it goes SOD even so, i reflashed everything for 3 times but still things don't get solved.
But funny thing is i flashed my Ace with specification above everything is working superbly fine since the 1st day till now, but my friend's Ace goes SOD.
I tried methods such as turning off wifi while screen is off and other methods posted on the internet but still won't work.
I'm interested in this so-called ICS ROM [URL] .... which people say that it's just a theme and wanna install it on my Galaxy Ace.

A friend of mine bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7275R), which has Android 4.2.2 - and that is the latest version that Samsung provides for this phone.
However, he'd like to use it with Fitbit hardware, which requires BLE API for syncing, and that feature is in Android 4.3.
