So since the day I got my Eve (GW620) it's had a tendency to drop 90% of the calls I'm on, usually within the first 2 minutes. I've had all intentions of sending the device back for a replacement, which is why I paid the extra $50 for the warranty, however I've been lazy and it never went back. The device hasn't been used since July, until today. I found out that OpenEtna had got a working 2.2 Froyo ROM for the EVE, so I figured what the hell, let's play with this thing. So anyways I took it out of its box, rooted it, flashed it with the custom 2.2 ROM and was loving it, until I made a phone call and it dropped (after about 10 minutes).
Now for the last 4 hours I've been trying to find an original Rogers ROM to flash back to the device so I can ship it back and get a new one but this seems to be impossible - so to my fellow Eve owners, does anyone have the original Rogers boot.img and system.img for the Eve, or know where I can find it? Or anyone who has not installed a custom ROM, would you be willing to make a backup, factory restore, make another backup (with Original ROM), send me the boot.img and system.img, then reinstall their first back up?I did try tolemac's toleROM which is a 1.5 ROM, but it's custom too, already rooted with none of the Rogers apps.
i am using Galaxy pocket and couple of days before i rooted my device and installed custom rom in it without creating back of it.so now i am facing some problems in it as device not recognized something like that.another thing when ever i am gng to install another rom in it,it says no space to unmount.method to retain my orignal rom without connecting via wire.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a user who has a Samsung Galaxy S3 and is using the GMail app to read her emails. This all works fine except for when she goes to reply to one. When she replies, everything looks ok and she can even send without a problem. The problem comes when the message is received the original message (below what she typed) just reads "Original sender wrote : " and that's it. That actual original message isn't there.
I've checked all the settings and even recreated the account and it still does it. I also checked the sent messages and it's like it there too so it's definatley something to do with the phone. The only thing we've found is that if you edit the original message in any way - even just by adding a space - it goes through correctly.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have flashed the GT-P1000 tab with clockworkmod version 6 (i am not sure the exact version) using Odin.Now after flashing the recovery, I have successfully installed Cyanogenmod 11 (nightly build) and everything was successful and everything is great.
A friend of mine borrowed the tab and he put a pattern to lock the phone, instead of asking him what is the pattern I just decided to wipe the tab again to make a clean install. So what I did was I went to recovery and selected "format /system" which I shouldn't have, then after rebooting it is not booting up to Cyanogen anymore, so what i did was I just wiped everything (format /data, cache and factory reset)
Now this is the weird part, the devices has kept on booting up to clockwork recovery and it says the device is not yet rooted, it is asking me if it is ok to root it, I always selected yes
After another boot up, the clockwork recovery is now version 3.0.0.5??? it is really weird? I never installed any clockwork mod with a lower version... How did that happen?
Now whenever I try to install from sd card or restore it or mount it nothing happens, it just says:
E:Can't mount
E:unknown volume
E:unable process volume! skipping
I tried to flash the recovery again using Odin many times but still the clockwork mod is stuck in version 3.0.0.5.
Right now, I am not sure if my understanding of the entire system is correct:
1. Should I install a new recovery, if yes, how and why is it whenever I am installing it again it is not being installed, it gets stuck to version 3.0.0.5?
2. Are there any other recovery I should use and how should I install it? is it the same as using the Odin?
3. Is there a way to install the original recovery of this tab and then from there I will start over again.

I am trying to flash the PDA, Phone and CSC back all to normal stock. I have downloaded a firmware and I only have one file with a .dll file. The one file I have is named "I9100BOKK1_I9100TMUKK1_I9100BOKJ1_HOME.tar.md 5" I have extracted the files from here also and it contains boot.bin, cache.img, factoryfs.img, hidden.img, modem.bin, param.lfs, Sbl.bin and zImage.
How with these files and Odin do I flash all three parts. I can't see how to use these files on the above link with instructions for flashing and rooting.

I decided to install a custom rom. Before that i had to root my phone which i did without any problems. After that i had to flash ClockworkMod v5.5.0.4. I downloaded the file which was in zip however i didn't extract it (which is what i should have done) and copied into my phone's memory. After that i put this code in the command promt

After rebooting the phone i can only get into the download mode in which nothing happens. And when i connent the phone to my pc the computer doesn't detect that my phone is connected. What shall i do now? Is my phone a brick now?
I have a Galaxy SII SGH-I727 and my computer does not recognize my phone as a USB device. I've already tried several other cables and computers. Odin is unfortunately not an option for me. I am trying to unroot my phone (I understand that flashing to a stock ROM unroots it...I hope) so that I can send it in since rooting it voids the warranty.

my galaxy grand was rooted and had the Resurrection Remix custom ROM, but now I want to reset my binary counter, unroot and flash the stock ROM. I started by downloading the .tar.md5 file (stock ROM), then I loaded it in Odin v3.09 as the AP (which is the PDA option but changed its name I think) and flashed, but it says fail at the beginning and now I only see "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". I already installed Kies and tried this, but after a really long time when the progress bar reached 70%, it said Dll load fail and this was the second time I do it through Kies, but no avail and yes, I'm pretty sure that I have the ADB drivers installed. I flashed CWM touch recovery and it works good, so now I can enter Download mode and CWM mode (or whatever it's called) only. I want to flash back to the Stock ROM which I already have.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my Galaxy Ace S5830i last month. I hadn't installed Samsung Kies until yesterday, when I launched it it prompted a firmware upgrade. First I tried to use kies to upgrade but whenever the upgrade process started (Kies started downloading the firmware files) my device automatically got disconnected..I tried reinstalling kies, restarting my phone but nothing worked.
I then decided to use odin(v1.87) to flash the firmware on my device but it kept failing at first step itself. Here's what it said :-

The phone has been working as fine as ever. Kies never got to the step of INSTALLING the new firmware as whenever it started downloading the firmware files my phone got disconnected so no damage there.
With ODIN I entered download mode but here too it fails at the beginning, so I just switch off my phone and restart it and it works as if nothing ever happened (I've made several attempts)
