I have an issue with my new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro. Please find below the necessary information. I sincerely appreciate your help in debugging this problem.
Issue: Unable to access the Andriod market and other google applications pre installed in my phone.
Background:
1. I brought an new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro mobile phone.
2. I am a resident of India and I use the Airtel network.
3. I can connect my phone to the WiFi at home, and to the Mobile Office GPRS services provided by airtel.
4. I can browse internet when on GPRS or Wifi and I can also access facebook using the facebook for android apps.
5. I can acccess GMail via the email application and the web browser.
6. However, when I try accessing the Android market or the Gmail apps or GTalk - it asks me for a google login
Problem faced:
1. I give my google login, but I get a reply stating that the server is unreachable.
2. This therefore, prevents me from accessing the Android market
3. This also prevents me form effectively using the Google apps installed in the phone.
Steps Taken:
1. I have contacted Sony Xperia Technical support in India and the team was incapable and unable to effectively debug this issue.
What is the best way to block access to Browser/Market? Is this a possibility without rooting the actual device?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a SGS3, and I have rooted it following the instructions on a thread on CF-auto root, and I have successfully rooted my phone, and I used an App called Freedom, which enables me to buy golds or coins in apps for free, and after awhile, I unrooted my phone, but after that, I cannot access Google Play, it says no connection, I think I was caught by Google Play for buying golds or coins for free. I have unsyncing my account, and creating a new one, but when I create new accounts or logging in, it always says "can't establish a reliable connection to the server. this could be a temporary problem or your android device may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues, call customer care." BTW, I have checked my connection, and it works properly.

It was great and I could use the explore function to find new songs, however now the explore button is gone and whenever I try to do a search all that I get is the songs that i have saved to my library... Also on the web version of google play music, it doesn't sync any of the songs saved in my library from my device with the web version even though my device is listed there in the settings, is this normal? I'm using the all access 30 day trial and it hasn't expired yet. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 4g

I mean wouldn't it be nice to hear it with some other player, so if connection struggles the music doesn't stop playing. Yes offline mode in mobile version is available, but can I extract them out of it, to do the same at my PC.
The App Cloud music importer promises this much. But as I tried it, not one of my all access titles in the Playlists is shown and possible to download, just the ones I upped myself..

I have a concern about accessing all Google Play Services from non authorized countries. I think it's a shame there are so many people in so many countries prevented from bying content on play store. Thought first of a petition, but not sure it can have effects. Had a look on xda, there is already a old thread on the subject but not working for most of the repliers, specially me.
Thought some developers would be interested in giving acces to a larger number of people. Looks like more justice to me.
I just flashed my Sony Ericson Xperia Play with a custom kernal and ROM. I am attempting to connect to the google play store but it wont let me use my yahoo account. When it says to enter my account it asks for a google account and my yahoo account is currently associated with google, i have been able to download apps for my phone through this account before (Before flashing the phone).
It's not the flash which has made it impossible to use my yahoo account but the fact that i need a gmail account now to download apps. In the past i have been able to use my yahoo account but i cannot get it to work.
How i can log into the play store with my yahoo account? Is it impossible to access the play store with a non gmail account or that you cant have a google account associated with a non gmail email address i will post screenshot for proof.

I've been using Google's IM service associated with my gmail and I'm a little confused how to access this on my new moto razr. A notification pops up with the message and I can click on it and read it and respond....but then I cannot find where it went! I've tried opening up all the messanging apps I have (IM, Messaging, Messenger) and I don't see my conversations there from my gmail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAm new to my Nexus 4. After seeing many Nexus with custom roms, i thought to have one as well. I rooted my nexus using Nexus root toolkit and installed TWRP. Today i tried to install Beanstalk Rom in my phone. I installed the Gapps as well. I dint format the phone before flashing custom rom. When the phone started with the custom rom,i was getting a message like the rom is not stable and u need to clear the partitions. So i tried going back to the recovery mode and wiped everything except USB OTG. Now am stuck at google screen at startup. I cant access the phones memory to put the Rom and flash the same again.

I have been facing a problem from quite a while now that I cannot access Facebook or Google through any browser except Opera Mini.
It always gives me an error that could not locate remote server and/or check your network connection.I'm using wifi and Facebook and Google works just fine on my PC on same network. Even the Facebook Android app works properly and all other applications also work perfectly on the Internet. So this is not a problem with my network connection.
Only browsers do not load these pages, I have tried the stock browser, Dolphin, one browser, opera classic previously called opera mobile and other browsers too. A few months ago they were working but now not.I did not try Firefox or Opera Beta Browser because the are too heavy for my phone.
Opera Mini works, obviously because it does all loading and processing in its servers.I think that there maybe a certificate or authentication problem in my phone which is causing this.
All Access, however really hating the battery drain I am getting with the updated app. My battery drain problems started immediately after updating from the pre-All Access version which I never had trouble with. Now it hogs all my battery. Even overnight when I'm sleeping, and the app is not be used and fully exited using the back button, I am getting a loss of 10% battery life per hour. Actually using my phone is even worse. In fact it's rather unusable at this rate of drain. In about 45 minutes of GPMAA use, it lost 25% battery life!
Unchecking the Google Music sync from their account section in settings. I did that, but still getting horrible battery life. Short of uninstalling this app, and losing a service I am really starting to like, what can I do?
I used to have two Google accounts, one private and one for work. Unfortunately, I have been fired a month ago and I have no more access to the latter. I believe it is still active but they changed the password and I just can't login.
The problem is that all the apps registered in my Google Play under this account are not available for uninstall or update. Each time I try, I get the message "Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google Account."
The apps work well on the Android phone but I can't manage them. Moreover, I can't reinstall apps that I uninstalled using the disabled account. All the apps that have been installed with my private account are managed just fine.

While installiing "google play services" I got some error 919 "Incompatible with other applications(s) using the same shared user ID", for which i googled for solutions which said to uninstall Google service framework(GSF) then, install play services and then again install GSF.
when i tried to uninstall the GSF via "titanium backup" i was unable to do so. Hence i thought of converting it to an user app ,then take a backup of apk file and then uninstall it. While doing so, it was taking very much time, so i rebooted my phone, after which i did not found GSF in my apps list.
Now i'm not able to have an access to play store.
My GSF version was 4.0.1- 212031
I own a MI-BOOK MI3 tab. I'm able to surf the internet using browser but, couldn't login into gtalk app, youtube app, googleplay app, can't signin or sync the device with google and, I tried factory reset couple of time changed modem settings, reset modem settings no chance whatsoever and also login with another gmail account which was created for this purpose. Also when I login into play.google.com browser it shows all the apps that or wiped after factory reset as "INSTALLED". What do I do? Also how can I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean? Also if I factory reset again will the root feature enable will be gone? Do I have to root again after one more factory reset if done? What about Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgrade? Can I root again using same method if I get it to upgrade? Can I change the [url]... settings showing apps as installed even though they were lost after factory reset? If I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and do another factory reset will it reset to new installed Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or will it go back to earlier version of Android? Ive been trying to root my Nabi 2 tablet to access the Google Play Store. Ive downloaded ADB and followed instructions, Ive also got the correct drivers etc, when i ran the root tool by jmz I chose option 1 and it ran through the process, is there anything else I need to during during this as I then booted up and it was just the same as before?! Are there some additional dependencies (like the Google account, for example) which I need to install in order to use Play? I am trying to avoid any Google synch and also don't need GMail, Talk, etc. Installing them just to remove them with Titanium or something seems counter-intuative.
I took off my sd card from my Samsung Galaxy Fit and when I replaced it, my Google-play app and other Google apps like Gmail and You-tube were gone!
I've not been able to download apps or watch videos on You-tube for the past one month.

Considering how much Google has done to popularize them, it seems like a glaring oversight that I read about an interesting app on my laptop or desktop, see a link to the bottom of the article, and visit the Market page yet I then have to open up a QR code generator to be able to easily get to that page on my phone. Why doesn't google autogenerate one somewhere on the app page?

I've recently won a Dell Streak 5, but it appears to have been shipped without the Market or Play apps - when trying to download through the Google Play site, it tells me to open the shopping bag icon on my device - unfortunately, their isn't one!
I had a Dell Streak previously (until some git stole it on a train - I will find you Mr Thief, if you're reading) so i know market is available on the device - my g-mail account even contains all the old apps i have paid for when i was last using the same device
i'm aware i can probably install non-market apps using apk files, but due to laziness i really want to avoid this.
I'm looking for a way to download some FREE apps from google play without having the market installed. To make a long story short: I don't like the market to know what my phone runs. So is there any software I could download there free app "My Callya" with? Have looked everywhere on the interwebs, but can't find it. I'd be more than happy about a download link to it though.

My Market never changed over to Google Play. Also, some of my apps will 'start download' then never download the update. Other apps update just fine.
