Jan 27, 2014I have a problem on my Asus ME301T tablet with the Play Books app (I'm running android 4.2). Regular text based books work just fine, however, comic books show as blank pages. Sometimes it will load a few pages if I rotate the screen a few times.
I've tried to reinstall the app and redownload the comics without luck. It works fine on my Samsung i9000 running android 4.3.

Missing apps: Google Play Movies and TV, Magazines, Ears, Books.
Now in the JB some apps come preinstalled. Unfortunately they don't show up in the drawer but when I try to reinstall them, I get the error message that the application already exists. When I go to system/apps, they are listed there. I have market-enabler installed with the market set to the US. I can see all categories and can install the apps through Google Play (browser) on the phone. But I still get the same error message.
Is there a way I can unhide them and use them?

Jul 18, 2012I'm running an SGS2 with CM9 (always up to the latest nightly).
I noticed today then when trying to open the Play store, it takes me directly to the Apps section and doesn't let me choose between the normal Apps, Movies and Books sections that i could before (i'm in the UK so no music option ever existed).
If i go to Play Book or Play Movies and press the market button, same happens, it just takes me to the apps secions.
I've tried clearing data on all google play related apps and uninstalling the google play updates and rebooting etc but still, everytime it takes me directly to the apps section and doesn't let me access any other section...

4) When done watching movie go to ota rootkeeper and restore root.

Jan 22, 2013I have just bought a SGS3, and I have rooted it following the instructions on a thread on CF-auto root, and I have successfully rooted my phone, and I used an App called Freedom, which enables me to buy golds or coins in apps for free, and after awhile, I unrooted my phone, but after that, I cannot access Google Play, it says no connection, I think I was caught by Google Play for buying golds or coins for free. I have unsyncing my account, and creating a new one, but when I create new accounts or logging in, it always says "can't establish a reliable connection to the server. this could be a temporary problem or your android device may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues, call customer care." BTW, I have checked my connection, and it works properly.

It was great and I could use the explore function to find new songs, however now the explore button is gone and whenever I try to do a search all that I get is the songs that i have saved to my library... Also on the web version of google play music, it doesn't sync any of the songs saved in my library from my device with the web version even though my device is listed there in the settings, is this normal? I'm using the all access 30 day trial and it hasn't expired yet. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 4g

I think it's a shame there are so many people in so many countries prevented from bying content on play store. Thought first of a petition, but not sure it can have effects. Had a look on xda, there is already a old thread on the subject but not working for most of the repliers, specially me.
Thought some developers would be interested in giving acces to a larger number of people. Looks like more justice to me.

Jun 24, 2013I just flashed my Sony Ericson Xperia Play with a custom kernal and ROM. I am attempting to connect to the google play store but it wont let me use my yahoo account. When it says to enter my account it asks for a google account and my yahoo account is currently associated with google, i have been able to download apps for my phone through this account before (Before flashing the phone).
It's not the flash which has made it impossible to use my yahoo account but the fact that i need a gmail account now to download apps. In the past i have been able to use my yahoo account but i cannot get it to work.
How i can log into the play store with my yahoo account? Is it impossible to access the play store with a non gmail account or that you cant have a google account associated with a non gmail email address i will post screenshot for proof.

Mar 20, 2014So I upgraded my daughter's Nexus 7 to 4.4.2, and set up a restricted profile for her. I cannot figure out how to watch purchased Play Movies & TV. Her account has permission for it under settings, and I can browse for the purchased movies in the app, but they are all non-purchased. Her profile is still showing as tied to my Google account, so purchases should carry over, but alas, no such luck. they don't seem to HAVE a support department. Guess you can't expect that from such a small company...

Jul 2, 2013All Access, however really hating the battery drain I am getting with the updated app. My battery drain problems started immediately after updating from the pre-All Access version which I never had trouble with. Now it hogs all my battery. Even overnight when I'm sleeping, and the app is not be used and fully exited using the back button, I am getting a loss of 10% battery life per hour. Actually using my phone is even worse. In fact it's rather unusable at this rate of drain. In about 45 minutes of GPMAA use, it lost 25% battery life!
Unchecking the Google Music sync from their account section in settings. I did that, but still getting horrible battery life. Short of uninstalling this app, and losing a service I am really starting to like, what can I do?

Aug 12, 2012I used to have two Google accounts, one private and one for work. Unfortunately, I have been fired a month ago and I have no more access to the latter. I believe it is still active but they changed the password and I just can't login.
The problem is that all the apps registered in my Google Play under this account are not available for uninstall or update. Each time I try, I get the message "Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google Account."
The apps work well on the Android phone but I can't manage them. Moreover, I can't reinstall apps that I uninstalled using the disabled account. All the apps that have been installed with my private account are managed just fine.
I am using a Samsung S2 (GT-I9100) with Android 2.3.3. Google Play Store v 3.7.15.
how I can get the control back on those apps?
General :: Uninstalled Google Service Framework - No Access To Play Store
May 1, 2014While installiing "google play services" I got some error 919 "Incompatible with other applications(s) using the same shared user ID", for which i googled for solutions which said to uninstall Google service framework(GSF) then, install play services and then again install GSF.
when i tried to uninstall the GSF via "titanium backup" i was unable to do so. Hence i thought of converting it to an user app ,then take a backup of apk file and then uninstall it. While doing so, it was taking very much time, so i rebooted my phone, after which i did not found GSF in my apps list.
Now i'm not able to have an access to play store.
My GSF version was 4.0.1- 212031

I'm able to surf the internet using browser but, couldn't login into gtalk app, youtube app, googleplay app, can't signin or sync the device with google and, I tried factory reset couple of time changed modem settings, reset modem settings no chance whatsoever and also login with another gmail account which was created for this purpose. Also when I login into play.google.com browser it shows all the apps that or wiped after factory reset as "INSTALLED". What do I do? Also how can I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean? I followed your tutorial and gained root access to my tab.
Also if I factory reset again will the root feature enable will be gone? Do I have to root again after one more factory reset if done? What about Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgrade? Can I root again using same method if I get it to upgrade? Can I change the [url]... settings showing apps as installed even though they were lost after factory reset? If I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and do another factory reset will it reset to new installed Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or will it go back to earlier version of Android? What will happen to apps that came with tab by default? Will the apps that came with the tab be lost after upgrade?
