Is there a way to change the default storage location from the internal storage to the external 32 gb card google has now decided to make useless?
To be clear, im not talking about music I have purchased but music I am RENTING in all access.
Currently on a note2 verizon.

It seems that most times (but not every time) that my phone reboots all the songs that Google music had pinned and downloaded need to be re-downloaded. I've tried wiping cache for google music & even uninstalling the app, but this problem continues to occur.
I am running Project Elite ROM, but when I noticed the problem, I switched back to a nandroid backup of CM7 I had, and the problem was still occuring. I've noticed that the Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music/ folder on my SDcard is empty when this occurs, but I'm not sure when/why it is getting emptied.
I wanted to start a discussion here where developers can possibly provide insight into this known issue on some devices and Android versions. There is a google product discussion over here

Basically the music app downloads pinned tracks extremely slow despite fast internet connections. It can take more than an hour to download a 10 track album. I've noticed this when streaming music too, the buffer does not load quickly at all, barely keeping ahead of the playback. I'm running a custom 4.2.2 ROM on an evo 3d and I know that on an ICS ROM in the past I did not have this problem. From the linked discussion above it seems everyone is running JB who has this issue.
My current theory is it has something to do with the encryption of the music that the google music app does in order for your All Access music to not be transferrable off the device. Possibly with the new way JB organizes SD cards, this has created a rate limiting issue considering the app was originally programmed for ICS when it was birthed.

I have a Nexus 4 with a considerable amount of "pinned" music in the Play Music app taking up storage space. This pinning seems to have taken on a life of its own, and I'm finding that the app is permanently storing music locally that I never wanted downloaded.
So my question is this: what's the best way to completely clear everything that's been "pinned" so far, and start over? I knew how to unpin music in the app before the recent design refresh, but now I'm not seeing it anywhere. Is there a way to just unpin everything through the app? Or can I use a file manager or connect the device to a PC and just delete the music files?
I love to use google music on my N5, but the default view is always a mess... Is there a way to change the view to my library - artist by default???

I have a 32gb microSD card with a dedicated folder for music. Is there a way I can get the offline songs onto there?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i was recently in the US i was given an HTC EVO VIEW. I have now taken it back with me to the UK but unsurprisingly my Google Play application is the US version. I am using the same Google Play account as i do on my Xperia Neo which is the UK version so the account isn't the problem.
I have factory reset the device in the UK and the 'Android Market' app that is preinstalled is still the US version (and so is the 'Google Play' app that it is updated into) which means that some apps are not available, some say they are not compatible due to location, and everything is in $$$.
I am new to this phone and so far so good.Working things out and getting it set up like I want it. I have two photograph widgets on one of my screens, one set up for newly taken pictures and one set up for newly shot video. The only problem is, I don't know how to change the default video save location. I am using the astro file manager and have seen that all videos and pictures save into a file named DCIM on my SD card. How do I change this to make it save pictures and videos into different files?I have made a different file for my videos and manually moved them into the folder but the phone is still saving new videos to the same old default place.

It was great and I could use the explore function to find new songs, however now the explore button is gone and whenever I try to do a search all that I get is the songs that i have saved to my library... Also on the web version of google play music, it doesn't sync any of the songs saved in my library from my device with the web version even though my device is listed there in the settings, is this normal? I'm using the all access 30 day trial and it hasn't expired yet. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 4g
View 3 Replies View Related if there's any option to download the music out of Google play music all access I put in a playlist. I mean wouldn't it be nice to hear it with some other player, so if connection struggles the music doesn't stop playing. Yes offline mode in mobile version is available, but can I extract them out of it, to do the same at my PC.
The App Cloud music importer promises this much. But as I tried it, not one of my all access titles in the Playlists is shown and possible to download, just the ones I upped myself..
We've recently moved to TN and my Incredible still thinks I'm in VA. All apps, like weather, Poynt, etc., show my old address, even when GPS is turned on. There must be some setting on the phone doing this, but I sure can't find it.

I know the google search bar at the top in ics is not just a google search, since you can adjust searchable items to include other apps, contacts, etc. But I primarily use it as a go to search engine from my home screen.
I have been using dolphin hd browser and while it is the default browser for opening links in gmail, etc, the search bar results always default to the stock browser when you click on them.
So I cancelled my all access trial, I don't find it useful to me, even though I cancelled it, I'm still seeing radios, and other all access features. Will it disappear from my Google Play Music after it's supposed to expire (06-07-2014)? My account type still lists as All Access...

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll Access, however really hating the battery drain I am getting with the updated app. My battery drain problems started immediately after updating from the pre-All Access version which I never had trouble with. Now it hogs all my battery. Even overnight when I'm sleeping, and the app is not be used and fully exited using the back button, I am getting a loss of 10% battery life per hour. Actually using my phone is even worse. In fact it's rather unusable at this rate of drain. In about 45 minutes of GPMAA use, it lost 25% battery life!
Unchecking the Google Music sync from their account section in settings. I did that, but still getting horrible battery life. Short of uninstalling this app, and losing a service I am really starting to like, what can I do?
I'm talking about the default clock/weather widget that is on the home screen...
Is it possible to make it so the widget shows weather info for a user-specified location? I was able to add an additional location once inside the HTC Weather app (by scrolling down), but I have had no luck finding anywhere to change the location that appears on the actual home screen.
It wouldn't be such a problem since it does correctly display my location (New York), but it is WAY off in terms of weather. For example, the widget is showing 72 degrees when it's actually 85. That's a HUGE difference and it's bothering me a lot.
I'm assuming it is pulling weather data from somewhere in upstate NY and not from NYC (where I am)? The manual entry I added is showing correct info, but it's very annoying having incorrect data showing up on the home screen and having to click into the widget and then scroll down to get the actual info.

After using Album Art Grabber, I used it to remove an annoying album art that is appearing all of my songs .Now all my songs are changed to .mpga and whenever i move the cursor on google music, it skips to the next song and the song ends at 0.Also i cant play the songs on itunes either
