May 3, 2014I accidentally uninstalled the stock sms app form my note 3 is there a way to get it back because I did a reset and it's still gone.

KitKat 4.4 :: Note 3 - Return Back To Stock Jelly Bean 4.3 After OTA 4.2.2 Update?
Mar 27, 2014I have a Note 3 Bell Canada and have not touched it at all other than the OTA update from 4.3 JB to KK 4.2.2. I of course read the woes and pro's of KK 4.2.2 after I did the update!! grin! and do not like the restricted access to my SD card folder creation file transfers etc and want to go back to JB. "A", can I go back with Odin and a stock Bell JB for the note 3, and have it all back like I did before the update...."B" What about my trip counter etc? Will that be effected?

Dec 19, 2013i accidentaly deleted the lib folder in system and i did not make any backup and now my Note 2 is stuck in a boot loop. When i tried to flash stock 4.1.2 it failed in the odin and on the phone it said unsuported version.

Nov 12, 2010I spent some time cleaning off stock HTC apps (Facebook.apk, HTC Facebook and Friend Stream included), but now all my contacts under People are no longer linked to any Facebook accounts. If I go to the Global tab, there is no option to refresh Facebook friends list. I've tried re-installing Facebook for Android, and I've also tried downloading the Facebook.apk and adding it back into /system/app. Really, all I want ot do is sync Facebook with my phone contacts to pull in pics and birthdays, I don't care about Friend Stream or HTC's stock FB app. Anyone know what to do?

Apr 29, 2014I went upgrading from Jelly Bean to KitKat 4.4.2 on my Note-3 (T-Mobile), and since upgrading, the Note-3 no longer transfer data at USB 3.0 speed anymore, only regular 2.0 speed. i tried using new 3.0 cables, still the same issue, and my other 3.0 devices work in the USB 3.0 port on my computer with no problem. And on my phone, even the menu choice for 3.0 no longer shows as a third optioned. i downloaded and install Kies 3 and the USB drivers from Samsungs website, the same with there Galaxy Note-3 after upgrading to KitKat.

I go to settings> Device> Sound> Volume and the system sound volume is set to mute or at the left hand end of the volume bar with no way to increase it.

Mar 6, 2014I am on Three UK, and I manually searched for an update for my Galaxy Note 3 today, while on my wireless network. My phone showed that a KitKat 4.4.2 update was available which was approx. 391 MB in size. Downloaded and installed it.
The install worked fine, but after the install, my phone seems to be draining the battery at 1% every minute. I have turned off GPS, wireless, mobile data etc. but to no avail.I don't even have Skype installed on my phone (as Google asked some users to uninstall Skype)

Mar 22, 2014I have a Samsung Note 3 updated to 4.4.2
I deleted some videos by accident and I need to get them back. I don't have any added memory, everything is written to the internal storage. ALL of the recovery software I have tried is asking for USB mass storage or doesn't work.
DiskDigger App also doesn't work. I read that mass storage is no longer available on 4.4.2. Supposedly everything connects with some new system called MTP.
How can I get my files back from the internal memory? There MUST be some way to do this. There must be some way to read the entire internal storage disk!

Feb 18, 2014In almost all browsers (except chrome) I can't use file browsers. For example, if I wanted to attach a picture to this post I can't. I can click manage attachments, but when I choose "choose fie", nothing opens.
It used to work, so I think it's something to do with 4.4?

Mar 24, 2014I am having an issue with Yahoo Mail app on my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 running 4.4.
Initially when I was using the Yahoo Mail App on my 12.2 with contacts synced. I was able to successfully use the autofill in the "To" bar. But for some unknown reason autofill no longer works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled YM app a few times and there is no change. I have alse cleared cache on Contacts with no dice either.

Feb 2, 2013I recently purchased a Bell Canada version of the SG Note 2 (i317), I am on Telus so I attempted to Unlock the phone. I looked online and found people were having success unlocking these phones for free using the *#197327640# method, (whereby you go into the service mode, turn off the PERSHO_256 and then INITIALLIZ).
I tried this method and the phone then seemed to work with my telus sim, but only for voice, not data. When I put in a Bell SIM from a friend, both voice and data worked fine - which tells me its not a hardware (radio) issue. I also tried using another friends Telus SIM and had the same results as mine - which tells me it's not a SIM error. Also, all the settings in the mobile network area appeared to be correctly set up.
So, my next step was to try and reflash the phone to the stock Bell ROM and then just buy an Unlock code. I downloaded the stock ROM (2 different ones actually) and used Odin 3.07 to reload the ROM. I've tried it several times now, with both Bell ROMs and each time it says it's been successful, but the phone remains in the same, partially unlocked state.
It seems as though by using the PERSHO_256 method I have permanently, PARTIALLY unlocked the phone. I can't seem to re-lock it by installing the stock Bell ROM, and since it's unlocked, I can't get the foreign SIM error to come up to enable me to put in my purchased unlock code.

The reboot occurs regardless of time, foreground/background running apps, battery level and anything else i can think of. for instance, it can just instantly hang+auto-reboot while i'm browsing facebook, surfing on chrome, switching tracks on poweramp, or even when the screen is off doing nothing (deep sleep)!
I've tried to uninstall some of the recent installed apps, but still unable to find any culprit. is there any way i can identify the culprit, without resorting to factory-reset for my device? i spent a lot of time doing the configuration for each app that i use, and wouldn't want to repeat the whole process..

This is unlike my previous S4, where it can give me the precise readings (but of course not as accurate as a real multimeter).

Mar 26, 2014My LG G2 took the update yesterday and the change brought a backup of my sms and phone calls. The calls arent' the problem but the SMS are. I use Handcent as my default, but every SMS is showing in the (stock) email app which is only me work exchange accounts. How do I stop this, work doesn't need to see my texts.
I back up using SMS Backup+ to my gmail and have confirmed those settings.

Apr 4, 2014I'm running KitKat (4.4.2) on a MotoX, and I use the stock Email app for a work account. When the phone is locked with all notifications cleared, the first new email to arrives causes the notification sound to play- but no additional sounds play when more new emails arrive if I don't unlock the phone and clear the first one. Is this normal behavior for this app now? I would really like to find a way to get an audible alert for all new Emails like I used to get on my old Android 2.X phone.
