Sprint HTC Hero :: Transfer Stuff To New SD Card? (2.0 Upgrade)
Nov 1, 2009When I purchase a new SD card, what is the easiest way to transfer everything to the new card? Should I use some backup app or just mount the 2 cards on the computer and copy all files from one card to the other? Does it matter? I am also curious how to backup the entire device prior to the 2.0 update coming. It seems like the 2.0 update will require flashing the phone. I assume it will erase everything? I wonder if sprint will provide an easy way to "upgrade" to 2.0 without losing everything on the phone.

Mar 12, 2010So I want to upgrade my Droid from the older 2.0.1 build of Pete's Bugless Beast ROM (1.2) to the newer ESE53 based 0.8 version. What I want to know is how to keep all of my data and apps and stuff when I make the upgrade, because according to his instructions you have to use his nandroid backup to go from the older 1.2 BB to the new 0.8 BB. I tried following his instructions once before, and while I was able to successfully upgrade to the newer ROM, I lost all of my apps and data and ended up just restoring from one of my own nandroid backups back to 1.2.

Jan 15, 2010I connect to my works Exchange server using EAS (I think, it was the default) and it syncs with my mail automagically as stuff comes in. I'd really like to find a way to automatically delete stuff on the Hero as I delete stuff on the exchange server. Is there a way to do this without involving another program?

Jul 15, 2010Been a Moto Droid owner since the day of release, just bought the Droid x. Is there any easy way to get everything from my droid to the droid x? I used Astro to back up my apps to SD, then installed them on the X, but they now dont show up in Market. They are just on the phone. so updates and such will not be found. When i logged into market, the only apps it brought over were the paid apps.

Jan 4, 2010I purchased a Galaxy a few months ago and installed the Galaxico ROM. Using the market enabler I was able to purchase paid apps (I'm from Ireland where we don't have a paid apps store). I've recently switched to a Milestone. To the best of my knowledge the market enabler will not work with the Milestone because it is not rooted yet.
Is there a way I can get the apps I've paid for already from my Galaxy to my Milestone? I bought CoPilot sat nav app, and this is what I'm thinking abut most. It was pretty expensive, and I'm not going to buy it again.
I contacted CoPilot and they told me I had to wait until the paid app store comes to Ireland. Is there any (legal) way I can get my CoPilot on my Milestone?

When I did the factory reset google had all of my purchased apps saved, I had to re-download them all of course. Aug 3, 2010I'm getting tired of waiting for the OTA froyo update when I can just root and use a leaked version. I was wondering what my best bet would be. I figure I will root with the unrevoked method since it seems straight forward. What should I use for changing roms, though? Clockworkmod looked good because the paid version allowed for updating to newer roms right off app without having to look for them... but from what I understand Titanium is the only way to transfer over your existing apps/contacts/etc to a new rom. I'm not too keen on having to reinstall ALL my apps and data... what does everyone here suggest?
