Android :: Stuck On Screen After Using Rom Manager

I just rooted my Desire using the unrevoked method, then installed rom manager. As directed, I installed the recovery environment, then backed up my rom. Following this, my phone keeps starting the htc screen, turns off, starts the screen again, etc.

I was on the modaco rom but decided to try a different rom from xda. I used ROM manager but the screen was stuck on the HTC screen so i decided to cancel it. I did the follwing but its still stuck on the HTC screen. Turn off, hold vol down and press power. Boot into HBOOT. Use vol up and down to move through the menu and power to select. From here, Select recovery. At the screen with the desire and red triangle, press vol up and power. Select Wipe data/factory reset.

so using this I got it working with Defrost 2.6a and 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20.zip. I then poked around in the Defrost app and saw the battery mod so I applied it. After a while, though, I decided I didn't like it and wanted to go back to this one. Here's the stupid part - I then went into ROM Manager and applied it. Now, the phone is stuck in a boot loop with the Nexus One animation. I am sure there's an easy fix, but I seriously don't know what I'm doing. I'm just flying by the seat of my pants here. I did a back up using both ROM Manager and Titanium Backup. I can get to recovery mode, but can't find any backups.

I have a count down timer that when it goes off (to zero) it checks to see if the app has focus. If not it launches a notification in the notification bar. When you click on the notification is re-opens the app. Now all of this works fine but if the screen happens to go off, the timer keeps going and the notification is available at the right time but never actually vibrates or rings until i turn the screen back on. Then it displays the notification like it was waiting in a queue or something.
How do I get it so that the notification manager will actually alert the user when the screen is turned off?
Update: If I set the timer for 2 minutes, it takes another 2-3 minutes for the notification to actually work. So it does work but it's on a huge delay! Code: So I setup the notification service when the app loses focus, and when the MyCount1 is finished is checks if the app has focus and if not it shows the notification. This all works when the screen backlight is on. Once it goes off it is unreliable.

I tried to load velocity using ROM manager and it would boot, but it got force quit messages repeatedly before I could do anything else so I tried holding volume down, home, and send together and it flashed a screen quickly with the little android guy and a progress bar and then after that it won't go past the android logo. I tried using the LG-utility to flash it but it gives me errors and it wont flash it. What can I do besides run the thing over and get a new phone from insurance?

My device is rooted, i was installing an app that tweaks performance which needed drivers to be downloaded / installed. As soon as i clicked that driver download / install button the device immediatly shut down. Now i'm stuck on its boot logo (Its a Chinese tablet powered by a RK3066 Chip / android 4.1.1) I tried (Holding power + volume down) = Dead android logo with red exc. mark on top / (Holding power + volume up) = Nothing / (Holding power + both volume up and down) = Dead android logo with red exc. mark on top / (Leaving dead android logo for a couple of minutes) = resets and logo is still stuck.
I have no custom anything . I did not do anything with the root except download apps.
I also do not have linux.
When the tablet is plugged into the PC when the dead android is displaying , it detects, but that is it, i cannot browse it what so ever.
All recovery methods in the tablet are (dead android logo)

I just rooted using the One Click method posted above. All went well up to where I rebooted after installing my KaosFroyo v27 I think. My phone is now stuck with a shiny Android logo, flashing over and over. It's been like this for about fifteen minutes now.

So I've searched the forum database and the internet at large and can't seem to find anyone with 'exactly' my problem. My Eve has been problematic since I got it 3 months ago. I perform at least 10 battery pulls a day to get it to 'wake up' because nothing else works. It started to get really cranky on Friday night but it continued working -- very slowly -- but I kept getting error msgs (don't ask me, can't remember!) The battery dies, so I plugged it in overnight. Since then it turns on, shows the Rogers screen, gets to the Android screen with the light scrolling across the letters, then hangs there. Twice I somehow managed to get it to a screen that said ARM11 has failed and gave me 2 options, volume down or volume up. I tried each of these once, same thing. Today it somehow got to! EMERGENCY MODE but was then completely unresponsive while showing this text.
I called Rogers and he suggested I do an update but that it would erase all my info. I was desperate and tried this, but to no avail. Did not do anything different to my phone. As I sit here typing, the Android screen is scrolling sideways, doing it's thing. Meanwhile I have no cell phone. Apparently Rogers doesn't replace it (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). They ship it on my behalf to LG who assesses and decides if they will replace or inform Rogers to inform me that it needs to be repaired, then LG charges me $30 for the assesment. Could take 2-3 weeks -- they will give me an old flip phone to use for that time. Meanwhile no discount on the monthly Data/Cell phone plan. It's kind of striking a nerve. I'm considering sending it back and buying a used iPhone 3G for $300 and if I get the Eve back, I'll sell it over the internet.

OK, one day I was able to open a Genymotion device, but later that day I wasn't. Reason?
When I opened a terminal (using CrunchBang Waldorf) and ran Genymotion, it would work fine, but then when I booted a Samsung Galaxy S4 4.3 , it would bring up the device fine, but it would get stuck on that "Android" screen, with the light going across.
I waited for a few hours, only to come back to the same message. I would open up the .Genymobile/genymotion-player.log using cat in terminal. The results?
[Genymotion Player] [Debug] Output command: "0%...10%...20%...30%...40%...50%...60%...70%...80 %...90%...100%"
So I tried running it through VirtualBox, giving me "untracked pid exited ____" with a number 100+ in the ____.
Other devices work fine, including SGS4 4.2.2, but SGS4 4.3 doesn't work.

I just rooted and I thought I'd try installing a custom ROM through the Rom Manager program. I asked it to "backup the current rom" before installing the ROM, so it's been stuck on the loading screen for a long time. Is this normal?

I'm kind of new to Rooting and ROMs but I keep getting the same problem while installing ROMs using ROM Manager. I flash and then I install the ROM and everything goes well until the boot up screen. It gets stuck in a loop of the Droid and Droid Eye animation (For over 10 minutes) and I have to restore it. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I am using the Droid with Froyo, rooted using Easy Root.

I was messing around with the camera and suddenly it goes to the White Screen with the Motorola logo in the middle. Its just stuck there. I've pulled the battery for at least 30 minutes, tried holding down, up, camera, while turning the phone on, no luck. Every time I power it up its just the same white screen. It's doing nothing. Are there any other manual methods of resetting this thing?

I've rooted my Desire on o2 have version 0.80 of the boot loader. I applied the defrost rom version 2.7 following this guide. Droid Den - Phone Guide: How To Install Rooted Android 2.2 On Your HTC Desire - Droid Den. It went through applying the ROM but now I just have it stuck on the o2 splash screen and going no further. Can't seem to find a backup.zip anywhere on my ROM and thought to back out the change. What's the best way to go? Re-flash again?

I just got the Behold 2 last night and I wake up this morning to a phone thats stuck on the Android SCreen? WTF is that? Anyway, I have already tried reseting it and taking out the battery, Format SD card, Taken out both cards. Maybe this phone Really is a piece of shit. If it has, I am taking it back in the morning to Tmobile and getting my money back. Then I am Going to Sue Samsung for making such a piece of shit phone.

I believe it's called boot looping? It originally happened after I rooted my phone (original 1.5 software) following these directions: How To: Root the Samsung Behold 2 | The Unlockr. After that, I deleted DinerDash2, Midnight Bowling, Where's Waldo, IM, Talk, Amazon MP3, MyFaves, Telenav, HotSpot, Audio Postcard, Postcard.apk. When I tried to reboot my phone, I was stuck on the Samsung screen. I finally got the screen to go away, but a message repeatedly popped up saying the TwLauncher closed unexpectedly. Then I tried using ODIN and installing BH_Man's factory v1.6

I used the adb commands to delete the bloatware again. Restarted the phone and got the same problem. (Except I was stuck on the android screen.) I tried to install the factory v1.6 again, then immediately did a factory restore and then rebooted my screen once it loaded. Everything seemed okay. I uninstalled the stock games and rebooted again. It seemed to be working. When I uninstalled more apps (including CubeLauncher) and restarted the phone. What do I do? Did I uninstall something I am not supposed to? I think I might try installing the 1.6 No Twiz Kernel. I am sick of these "TwLauncher closed unexpectedly" messages.

I can root a g1 with ease but I sort of got into trouble with the behold. This might sound stupid but do I need to root the phone before I install the port galaxy 1.6? I just did this.
1. download odin here Odin Multi Downloader v4.03.exe
2. download any Of BH_MAN ODIN Ready Rom's
3. download winrar ( google it) to extract the BH_MAN zip file.
4. follow these instruction

3. Click the OPS button and choose Behold2_partition.ops
4. Click the PDA button and choose the md5 file, You will get error message" invalid image...," but ignore it.

And my phone was stuck on the android logo. do I need to root first and where can I find this? Is this where I go.

I just flashed Myns Two point Two. I used to Amon RA to wipe the things I needed to wipe and then installed the rom. Little to say that when I booted, it got stuck on the boot screen.I've done a hard reset, booted to the loader, and wipe the data but to no avail.

Directly in the center of my screen there is a little white fleck, it looks like the tiniest peice of paper, about half a mm in size. At first i thought it was a dead pixel but when i locked the phone it is still there which suggests that it is dust/paper/other. I do not know how it got in there so i do not know how i can get it out, it doesn't move at all so it won't simply fall out any time soon.

I rooted my Inc with the Evo tool, and installed a ROM through ROM manager, after deciding that I did not want to keep the ROM, I tried to restore back to the stock rooted ROM I had before through the clockworkmod/nandroid options. Now the phone is stuck at the white screen that reads, "htc incredible" and none of the buttons will cause anything to happen. I was debating on doing a battery pull and restarting, but I believe I read somewhere that doing so would brick the phone.
Update: Did a battery pull and was able to boot into the HBOOT and run the nandroid recovery again, I am trying it now to see if I can get back to the original ROM.

After rerestoring the phone, the boot animation runs all the way through and the phone starts back up.

Flashed a Fresh ROM, did a wipe cache and dalvik before flashing but now I'm stuck in the white htc evo 4g screen. Tried to reflash didn't work. I've pulled out the battery and powered on while holding volume down. This is what the screen reads:

I can boot into ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.1 but my backup and nandroid files can't be located. Sometimes I get the Android with the exclamation point, sometimes not. PCIMG36.zip image can't be found either. I think my phone is screwed! I've searched through the forums and googled and tried out a many things but to no avail. Also, does doing all this through a Mac make a difference?

Been creating a theme last few days. I installed it on my phone, but before doing so i was a good boy and did a nandroid backup. Then i didnt like osme of the things i changed so i restored my backup i just did now its stuck after restoring on the white htc evo screen. NOT GOOD!! I even pulled the battery and SD Card...twice.
