Aug 17, 2010Phone got stuck on boot screen due the unseccessfull galaxo update (got foce close, and had no valid backup). Tried to odin 3 diferent firmware (iik5, jc4, jc6), every time odin flash passes bud afrer rebooting the phone loops boot screen.

Feb 11, 2010I just got the Behold 2 last night and I wake up this morning to a phone thats stuck on the Android SCreen? WTF is that? Anyway, I have already tried reseting it and taking out the battery, Format SD card, Taken out both cards. Maybe this phone Really is a piece of shit. If it has, I am taking it back in the morning to Tmobile and getting my money back. Then I am Going to Sue Samsung for making such a piece of shit phone.

Apr 22, 2010I believe it's called boot looping? It originally happened after I rooted my phone (original 1.5 software) following these directions: How To: Root the Samsung Behold 2 | The Unlockr. After that, I deleted DinerDash2, Midnight Bowling, Where's Waldo, IM, Talk, Amazon MP3, MyFaves, Telenav, HotSpot, Audio Postcard, Postcard.apk. When I tried to reboot my phone, I was stuck on the Samsung screen. I finally got the screen to go away, but a message repeatedly popped up saying the TwLauncher closed unexpectedly. Then I tried using ODIN and installing BH_Man's factory v1.6

I used the adb commands to delete the bloatware again. Restarted the phone and got the same problem. (Except I was stuck on the android screen.) I tried to install the factory v1.6 again, then immediately did a factory restore and then rebooted my screen once it loaded. Everything seemed okay. I uninstalled the stock games and rebooted again. It seemed to be working. When I uninstalled more apps (including CubeLauncher) and restarted the phone. What do I do? Did I uninstall something I am not supposed to? I think I might try installing the 1.6 No Twiz Kernel. I am sick of these "TwLauncher closed unexpectedly" messages.
Samsung Behold 2 :: Rooting - Phone Stuck On Android Logo Screen
Apr 12, 2010I can root a g1 with ease but I sort of got into trouble with the behold. This might sound stupid but do I need to root the phone before I install the port galaxy 1.6? I just did this.
1. download odin here Odin Multi Downloader v4.03.exe
2. download any Of BH_MAN ODIN Ready Rom's
3. download winrar ( google it) to extract the BH_MAN zip file.
4. follow these instruction

2. Open Up ODIN Multi Downloader
3. Click the OPS button and choose Behold2_partition.ops
4. Click the PDA button and choose the md5 file, You will get error message" invalid image...," but ignore it.
5. Turn off Phone.
6. Plug phone into USB.
7. Put phone in download mode (Vol Down + OK + END Button)
8. Wait till detected and press START.
9. Enjoy the Port.
And my phone was stuck on the android logo. do I need to root first and where can I find this? Is this where I go.

Nov 6, 2010I downloaded a kernal on ryans lag fix and then it made my phone get stuck on the VIBRANT SAMSUNG screen so i tried to fix it by using odin, but all it did was make it go to the Galaxy s sign now, any suggestions on how i can fix this? (and also, after the galaxy s sign shows up for about ten seconds or something like that it goes all black and all that stays lit are the home button, the back button, the search button, and the settings button)PLEASE REPLY, i need serious help.

Mar 18, 2010I was wondering whether the galaxy needs a scratch guard? I haven't yet taken off the samsung screen film yet (lol). I have an ipod touch and I didnt find the need for a scratch guard or screen protective film. I also read that capacitive touch screens are made so as to have easy moving of the finger on the screen. So would a scratch guard reduce its performance? also If i didnt use one, would the screen get any scratches?

Nov 26, 2009after my phone crashed / went unresponsive after a call I did what I've gotten used to doing which is taking out the battery to reset it. Though, this time I had the charger in which I'm guessing is what made the phone corrupt. Now I'm stuck in a boot loop with no way to reset it. Recovery mode doesn't help and I'm guessing there's no hardware reset button. I've never rooted or installed anything that's not from the free market.
I'm living in Sweden but bought it in Germany so am reluctant to go through the hassle of returning it. Or does samsung have som kind of world wide warranty?

Jan 12, 2010I started a firmware update (using Odin) and, when downloading the amss, samsung says "Bad block table read fail". a lot of times and the progress bar (on Odin) stay locked. And the update cant finish. So, I restart the mobile... but it always come with the "Downloading..." screen. I've tried the recovery mode [vol down] + [start call] + [end call] buttons, but it always go to "Downloading..." screen. I can't exit from the download mode, and the phone doesn't start any more. I've removed the battery, but the same... the "diskette logo" come with "Downloading..." all the times.
So, two questions:
1) About the "bad block" message, I think it's because I left "turned on" the USB debugging. so, I want to start the phone to turn it off again. This make sense?
2) How to get rid of this screen? How to stop the download mode?

Samsung I7500 : Logging Into Hotmail Stuck At Sign In - No Picture
Aug 5, 2010So I have a Samsung Galaxy, and everytime I use the regular browser to sign into hotmail it stays stuck at "https://login.live.com Sign In". It's a blank page when it finishes loading. It's been like this for about a week. So i tried the Opera Mini browser for the android, and I can't log in because it makes me retype in my username after I enter the password, so I cannot log in at all in the first place. There is no app for checking my hotmail except for Hot Email, which doesnt work. If I use the Mail app, it downloads my emails (I think) and I just want to check it right off the browser as usual, anyone having the same problems?.

Oct 31, 2009I have rooted my phone and have now the recovery mode from HD blog. It's was working fine. So I tried to get the Galaxhero ROM installed. I did the following steps:
1) Reboot in recovery mode (Volume down + both Call buttons) and choose "Nandroid backup" to save a backup of your current ROM just in case.
2) Backup G apps
3) Then, choose "Wipe data/factory reset". The phone will reboot in recovery mode again.
4) Choose "Apply sdcard:update.zip" (second menu entry on the recovery screen)
5) Restore Google applications ("Restore G.Apps")
6) "Enable root (su)".
But then enable root failed! Anyway I went on further with reboot system. It rebooted till the "android HD logo" showed up and then suddenly the screen went off and it seemed like my phone went off. So I went back to the recovery mode and did the following steps:
Wipe data
Restore backup
Restore G apps
Enable root SU, but again enable su failed!!
Again I choose reboot system, and when the reboot came again to the "android HD logo". It stuck there and stayed looping.
First, why do I still see the android HD logo again because I did a wipe!
Second, How can I get my phone working again!
Samsung I7500 :: Started Downloading MMS Without APN Settings - Stuck At Downloading
Oct 23, 2009I've got some photos stuck in an MMS that I tried to download before I realised that I didnt have the correct MMS APN settings in (due to swapping to the Modaco ROM). The correct settings are now in but the MMS is stuck at "downloading" status. Is there any way I can rescue it, there is no forward option and I've successfully sent and recieved MMS since.

Android :: ROM Installed But Phone Gets Stuck In Loop After Boot Up Screen
Aug 22, 2010I'm kind of new to Rooting and ROMs but I keep getting the same problem while installing ROMs using ROM Manager. I flash and then I install the ROM and everything goes well until the boot up screen. It gets stuck in a loop of the Droid and Droid Eye animation (For over 10 minutes) and I have to restore it. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I am using the Droid with Froyo, rooted using Easy Root.

Sep 24, 2010my fascinate is rooted and i attempted (foolishly) to replace the default device fonts. however, after following directions and "successfully" completing the steps, my phone rebooted and is now stuck on the samsung reboot screen. i've tried wiping all data, removing cache, removal of sd card, and rebooting and i'm still stuck on the samsung main reboot screen.is there anyway to fix this issue or at least restore my phone using terminal on a mac or command on windows? and if this is possible, would debugging have to be checked because i unchecked debugging after i rooted my phone.

Sep 2, 2010We tried to root it and apply the lag fix via "OneClickLagFix" app (from the Market), and the phone was very fast for about a week, then slowed down SIGNIFICANTLY. Tonight, it just froze and will not boot past the Galaxy S screen. The screen will then go black and the four buttons at the bottom stay lit. We have gone into recovery and wiped the cache but no luck. Have not yet tried to wipe user data.
Transfer all data from internal storage to a separate drive, then wipe phone? If so, will I have to "flash" a stock/custom ROM to get the phone back up?

Jan 23, 2010The Samsung i7500 Galaxy is, except the support from Samsung itself, a great Android smartphone with a very good (the best?) price for value. It's with 11,9mm the second slimmest Android phone after Nexus One with 11,5mm (right?) and has unlike the HTC phones a flash light and build in storage of 8GB. On most sites the Galaxy is (one of) the cheapest Android phones, I wonder if it's because Samsung is cheaper or HTC/Motorola more expensive by itself?
I personally would compare the i7500 with the HTC Hero, although in my opinion the i7500 still has a much better price for value.
Is it even possible to define if and which Android phone is a low, middle, or high-end smartphone?
Sure, it also depends for what purposes you bought and use your phone, but I still wonder were the i7500 would be if 1=low and 10=high end Android phone, and if there even is a number 10? I also think that the D-Pad is a big plus and not a minus in comparison to the scroll ball from HTC.

Jun 11, 2013I rooted my device with superoneclick, got the 3e recovery, then got the CWM recovery for galaxyS i9000 through ROM manager(working fine), and then rebooted into recovery and flashed carbonROM for 4.2.2 (the .zip file), along with Gapps for 4.2.2. Now it's stuck at the samsung screen, I can't boot into recovery, taking out the battery doesn't work, and the power button is NOT jammed. I can't restore the backup that I made because I can't go into recovery and my computer is not detecting the device (with all the proper drivers installed).
I don't care about the user data (including contacts, messages, etc) that much, if it needs to be wiped. I only want my phone back, with or without the ROM.

I tried copying a bootanimation.zip file in there as per the Droid instructions but looks like the Galaxy doesn't use it. Where are the boot up screen/animations stored on the Galaxy?

Dec 3, 2009My Galaxy doesnt lock the screen anymore after i dial any number from my contact list.
The steps to reproduce the problems are:
- Turn on the phone
- Unlock the screen
- Press "Call" button
- Select "Contacts" tab
- Select some contact and make a call
- Press "End" button (dont need to wait the call to complete)
- Press the "Lock" button
- At this point, the screens turns off, but the phone doesnt lock. If i press any key the screen turns on and the phone remains unlocked
From this point, the phone doesnt lock the screen anymore, even after the lock timeout.
To workaround this problem i need to restart the phone OR use a task manager to end the process "Dialer", so i presume the dialer application is preventing the screen to lock.
Actually im using GalaxyHero v1.1, but i had the same problem since i bought the phone with the original Android version. I upgraded to IH4, IH8, II5 and others, restored to factory defaults many times, but the problem persists with all versions.
